more students get the college education, college students are under great

pressure. We hear from the news that a lot of students can’t find jobs after

graduation, then the next year, the other students gets graduating, the two

years’ students compete for the jobs! I just can’t imagine such situation. The

pressure from college students is getting greater, they should relieve it now

and then, because too much pressure will bring bad effect, some may distort

complain about their stress in their daily life. Stress mainly comes from our

work, study and families. When we feel stressed, we often have bad moods on the

day and cant sleep well at night. Thats too bad for our health. To help ease

春节是很久远的节日，就像每个中国人脑子里都烙下了这两个字。在夏朝就开始盛行了。关于春节的来源，有这样一个故事：传说古时候，有一种叫做"年"的凶猛怪兽，每到腊月三十，便窜村挨户，觅食人肉，残害生灵。有一个腊月三十晚上，"年"到了一个村庄，适逢两个牧童在比赛牛鞭子。"年"忽闻半空中响起了啪啪的鞭声，吓得望风而逃。它窜到另一个村庄，又迎头望到了一家门口晒着件大红衣裳，它不知其为何物，吓得赶紧掉头逃跑。后来它又来到了一个村庄，朝一户人家门里一瞧，只见里面灯火辉煌，刺得它头昏眼花，只好又夹着尾巴溜了。人们由此摸准了"年"有怕响，怕红，怕光的弱点，便想到许多抵御它的方法，于是逐渐演化成今天过年的风俗。

在春节，家家户户热闹非凡。上午，长辈们带着孩子走家串户，拜访亲戚朋友。大家在一起遮着瓜子言语交谈。小辈的孩子们都会向长辈磕头讨压岁钱，老人会笑吟吟的把钱塞进孩子手里。到了晚上，就更热闹起来了。家家灯火通明。孩子们在外面欢快的玩耍着，孩子们在外面放着烟花爆竹，十分热闹。晚上，家人在家里包饺子。

春节是一个十分有趣的节日，它可以让你放松心情把不愉快的事物赶走。

以前每到春节，长辈们都会给孩子压岁钱。数额不大，但钞票必须是新的，兄弟姐妹有的时候接到的压岁钱还有可能是连号的。记得当年奶奶一到过年，就会翻出席子底下用小手帕包裹得里三层外三层的钱袋，“过年了，又涨一岁，给你们发压岁钱呀”。

崭新的丝毫不起折的压岁钱当然不会在我们手里一直攥着，回来后往往要交给母亲，她会替我们保管着。然后整个正月，我们买零食甚至到了开学缴书费都从压岁钱里支出。

一角一角，一块一块，小时候总是盘算着谁给压岁钱了，谁还没有给，总觉得忘记给或者不给的长辈对自己不亲，“再以后不叫他叔叔了，连压岁钱都不给”。压岁钱放到手里是一笔很大的收入，一直到快过五月了，有时候花钱要从母亲手里要，母亲嗔怪：“怎么又要花钱”。我往往振振有词“我又不是花你的钱，我不是还有压岁钱吗？我花我的压岁钱”。母亲笑笑“你以为压岁钱是聚宝盆吗？压岁钱都是礼尚往来的，我们收到人家多少，咱就得给人家孩子多少。新钞票有那么好找呀，常常是咱们昨天收到人家的，还没有在手里暖热，第二天也许就还给人家了”。压岁钱就是这样从你的手里转到我的手里，虽然钱的数额不变，但是增进了亲情，融洽了关系。

时代发展，压岁钱也有了与时俱进的演变。先是数额越来越大，我记得我最后接的奶奶给的压岁钱好像是上了高中，那个时候压岁钱仿佛就涨到十元了。我给孩子们的压岁钱，也是先是十元，后来二十元，再后来五十元，现在就是一张毛爷爷了。压岁钱的形似也变了。原先因为是新年，所以给孩子们的钱必须是崭新的，银行有熟人当然方便，可是也有的时候到了年根了，自己居然忘记换新钱了，把旧的压岁钱交到孩子手里，往往惹得他们咕嘟着嘴，老大的不高兴。现在好了有的家庭压岁钱干脆升级变作礼物了。前几年有的家长给孩子买音乐播放器作为新年礼物，现在智能手机大行其道，孩子们接到的压岁钱有很多已经是名牌智能手机了。

现在网络时代来了，压岁钱摇身一变，化作红包了。这不昨天女儿还摇着手机炫耀着：“还是俺舅舅妗子对我好，他们给我发红包了，六十六，八十八”。

春节的前两天，奶奶叫我和她贴春联，我们两个分工明确。忙的不亦乐乎，奶奶很快就贴完了，可我还剩下一张“福”字。这时，奶奶对我说“：我去地里看一下菜”，我说“：好的”。然后奶奶就去菜地了。

我拿着“福”字，可他是倒着写的，这可让我犯难了，到底是正着贴?还是倒着贴呢?我正想问奶奶，可才想起奶奶没在家，去了菜地。

我这迷惑不解，这时，我的好朋友来找我玩儿，于是我就胡乱把“福”字，倒着一贴，就跟他去玩儿了。

回家之后，我看见奶奶心中便有些后怕，害怕奶奶责怪我：什么事都干不好，连对联都贴反了。不料，奶奶走过来不但没有责怪我，反而夸奖我说“你贴的对了。”我不解地问“：奶奶，你为什么夸我呢?”奶奶说“：因为“福”字本来就是倒着贴的，因为它的谐音就是‘福到了’，”我说“：哦，原来是这样”。

我不由得暗自高兴，心想：我竟然歪打正着，没想到“福”就是倒着贴的，真有意思。

我们中国的传统节日有很多，如春节、元宵节、端午节、中秋节等等，但是我最喜欢的还是春节。因为春节可以穿新衣、放鞭炮、贴春联、看花灯，总之，热闹非凡。

每年春节我们都是回老家，因为老家的气氛比城里热闹得多，今年也不例外。我的老家在革命老区——龙岩武平。我和爸爸妈妈腊月二十七回到老家，当车子驶入村口，先前回去的奶奶和妹妹早早在那边等候。

等我们回到家，爷爷奶奶早已开始着手备年货了，宰猪、池塘捞鱼、炸糖枣等等，猪鱼可都是爷爷自己养的，爷爷多勤快呀！

日子一天天过去，终于迎来了大年三十，一大早便有人开始放鞭炮，热闹非凡。我迫不及待地起床，帮着爸爸贴春联，跟着奶奶祭拜土地神。晚上，万家灯火，爷爷邀请了大姑、小姑他们家，高高兴兴围坐在一起吃年夜饭，聊聊过去一年的收获，展望未来等等。吃完年夜饭，我们就开始守岁了。大约八点钟，《春节联欢晚会》开始了，全家人围坐在一起看晚会，耳边不时传来震耳欲聋的鞭炮礼花声，虽然节目非常精彩，可是我早已没有看意，爸爸看出了我的心思，搬出早已买好的一箱箱大礼花和烟花，我们一口气冲到屋顶天台，我好兴奋！

“轰……轰……”只听到一声声巨响，礼花在空中炸开，星星般的烟花从天而降，就像一朵朵鲜花在空中绽放开来，过一会又谢了。接下来，数不清的烟花被再次点燃，有的像笑脸，有的像流星，有的像火箭呢！我和妹妹笑的合不拢嘴。我们大家都沉浸在欢乐和幸福之中。

I had a long holiday for May Day 。I was very happy， because I could do anything I want。

Since we were born， many people help us a lot. We should be grateful to their kindness. But the ones we should show our greatest appreciation are our parents. From the first day we appear in their lives， they give us all their love and care， but never expect anything in return. popular. Nowadays, almost every family has a computer. Because of computers, our

daily life is improving.

Computer has a great effect on our daily life. In the first place, computer

has so many functions. As we have computers, we neednt buy books, radios, TVs

and any other things, because computer can take place of them. Secondly, surfing

on the Internet must be very interesting. Through the Internet, we can do

everything we like. Thirdly, thanks to the Internet, we can get the further

education at any time, so we dont have to get up so early in winter days.

However, a coin has two sides, because its new doesnt mean its always

good. At present, most students spend too much time on computer games. I dont

think its a good phenomenon, because it will do great harm to our eyes as well

It was a sun day of the summer holiday. The weather was hot. My little brother and I decided to go to the resrvoir to swim by bike. It took us half an hour when we got there, many people were swimming. Then we dived into the water……

About an hour later, suddenly somebody called: “help! help!” We were surprised to see a boy struggling in the deep water. As quickly as possible. We swam towards him and pulled him to the shore. He lost his consciousness. We sent him to the nearest hospital at once luckily, he was saved.

In the end, we were worn out, but felt happy. That day was meaningful. We did a good deed!

6 pm - Dinner with Director of Mansfield Center Phil West, Ambassador Mark Johnson, and staff of Mansfield Center
