Water is a kind of liquid. It has no taste or smell. It is transparent, too. Water is useful and is important to us. Why? For example, we use water to water the plants. Jacques Cousteau decided to tell people how important it was to save the environment under the sea. He started the“ Cousteau Society ” to help protect life in the sea. Now there are over 30000 members all over the world. Since water covers most of the earth, Cousteau knew that we should keep the sea clean. We should not litter the sea, and should clean up the dirty parts. As water is very important to our environment, he encouraged everyone to take part in protecting our lakes, rivers, sea and ocean.

There are still a few people who are not protecting the water now in the world. For example, some factories pour waste things into the rivers, lakes or into the sea near by. The water there has become very dirty and we can’t use them at all. Although there are seventy–five per sent of water in the world, we can only use fresh water, that there is only a little. So we should use little water when we need to use it. For example, I do not use too much water when I am washing my face or having a bath… It is important for us to keep the water clean. You may ask yourself, have I ever poured or thrown dirty things into the water? If your answer is “No”, that means you have already helped to protect the environment. It is our duty to protect the environment. You may ask yourself again, have I ever helped to clean up the water? If your answer is “Yes”, that means that you have already done something useful to improve the water. If we use up all the water, it is difficult for us to get it from anywhere, including the universe. It is terrible to think that people are too thirsty to live! Today, I went out with my best friend. When we arrived at the park, it

黄河岸边有座美丽的城市，那就是我的家乡三门峡。每到初冬的时候大批西伯利亚飞来的天鹅会来这里，为了让天鹅每年都飞回这温馨整洁的家，我和同学自发组织了洁城行动。暑假里的一天，我和赵若兰、赵若谷去南山开始了我们的洁城行动。

当我们来到南山脚下，我们都惊呆了，上往南山的楼梯上有许多烟头、瓜子皮、还有碎纸屑，我们一个个眼疾手快，动作麻利，拿起扫帚就扫，干得热火朝天。楼梯边缘的花丛下有脏物，若谷就用手拨开花枝捡垃圾，刺却无情地扎痛了她的手，血都流了出来，但她却很坚强，还大义凛然地说：“我没事儿，咱们继续干吧。”若兰拿着簸箕，眼见大颗大颗的汗仿佛珍珠般从她脸上流下来，我用扫帚把垃圾扫到簸箕里，在太阳的照射下，我粉粉的小脸早已变成红彤彤的，我们的衣服全都湿了。有一个上山的人顺手把烟头扔到地上，我们赶快阻止说：“叔叔您这样做不对，我们刚打扫完，你用一秒钟就让我们这个美丽世界遇上灾难，难道大人们就偏偏不爱护卫生么？大人应该起榜样作用。您是一只兔子，我们是大灰狼，请您把烟头捡起来！”那个人脸红了，赶紧把烟头捡起来扔到垃圾桶里了，我们的行为也影响了大人，我们仨笑开了花。

我们沿着崎岖的小路往上走，我们右手戴手套，左手拎着大塑料袋。这回我们仨开始捡垃圾比赛，看谁捡的垃圾多，我们说干就干，三下五除二低着头弯着腰认真地寻找我们的猎物。顺着路我们回头一看，原来脏兮兮的小路，现在干净得如皇家酒店一般。我们都倍感自豪！

终于我们到了南山山顶，看见有个亭子，走近一看，地上就像垃圾堆，有玉米棒、葡萄皮、瓜子皮、树叶，我和若兰扫地，若谷把大些的垃圾捡起来，我们干得热火朝天。汗水打湿了我们的头发，一个个小脸晒得又黑又红，但我们心里却像吃了蜜一样甜！

这次洁城行动让我认识到：我们每个人都要爱护我们生存的环境，养成爱护环境的好习惯，我们要用自己的行动影响身边的每一个人，让世界变得更美好！

地球是我们人类的母亲，是我们生命的摇篮。她是那样的美丽，壮观，和蔼可亲。但是，随着人类生活条件的提高，人类在享受娱乐的同时，却不由自主地破坏了她，因此我们的生活环境也在不断的恶化。

记得前几年，老家门前有一条河，朝河里望去，一眼就看到许多垃圾，塑料袋，各种废品，生活垃圾，很难想象这是一条河。原本翠绿色的河水，完全变成了灰黑色，散发着难闻的气味。这种现象是因为未经处理的工业废水、生活污水、农田排水，以及其他有害物质，直接或者间接进入河流，超过河流的自净能力，引起水质恶化和生物群落变化。有许多河流在这样的污染下，不再是清澈见底，并且各种怪味弥漫。但是这几年，政府部门进行了环境治理，控制了污水的排放，河岸用石砖砌好，并种上了许多树木。经过两三年的努力，河水明显变得清澈了，也能看到鱼儿或者鸭子在水里嬉戏玩耍，偶尔还有一些清闲的人来这里钓鱼。每天清晨，更有村子里的男女老少，来河边儿锻炼，或走上两圈儿。从这之后，我们整个村子的人都设法保护着这条河，让她变得清澈美丽。

前几年，雾霾也经常出现，尤其早晨起来，看见的空气是灰沉沉的，初升的太阳也是那么弱小无助，时而出现，时而不见，运动和呼吸都让人觉得无比压抑。雾霾还会诱发各种疾病，例如心血管疾病、咽喉炎、肺气肿、哮喘、鼻炎、支气管儿炎等等。雾霾是因为人们不保护环境，大气被严重污染后产生的空气垃圾。雾霾对我们的影响非常巨大，那么如何防治雾霾呢？这就要我们从保护环境入手，我在这里和同学们说几条建议：

1、不要乱扔垃圾，尽量按照垃圾分类回收分开处理。

2、多多步行或者骑车，尽量少开私家车，绿色出行。

3、尽量减少一次性物品的使用。

4、爱护花草，多种树木。

5、学习生活中，要勤俭节约，不要浪费，包括纸张，铅笔等等用具。

6、以身作则，宣传和带动大家一起保护环境。

保护环境的标语在生活中经常见到，尤其是公园内，更是随处可见，这些标语都在宣传和提醒着我们，要时时刻刻保护环境，也是在保护地球。我们虽然还是小学生，有些大事做不了，但是保护环境这个大事，我们却可以认真的从小做起，任何一个保护环境的行为都是事关未来的大事。

善待地球就是善待我们人类自己，保护地球就是保护我们的未来。让我们共同携手，还鸟儿一个湛蓝的天空，让它们展翅飞翔；还鱼儿一条清澈的河流，让它们自由戏水；还动物一丛幽深的森林，让它们追逐狂奔。让每种生物都能在美好的地球上和谐的生活着。

我是安阳市钢城小学六（一）班的一名小学生。这几年安阳的变化非常大。水变清了，天变蓝了，草变绿了……安阳的环境明显比原来好了，这可少不了您的功劳。不过地上还是有随处可见的白色垃圾。

3、在饭料外包装上写上：请勿乱扔。以此警告人们不要把塑料瓶乱扔。

My Views on Environmetal Protection

Nowadays, the world we live in is becoming more and more intolerable because of environmental destruction. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. Recently,haze weather has become a usual phenomenon here in large part of China. People are forced to wear the mask to avoid breathing poisonous air. Some people think it is impossible to solve the problem,however,from my opinion,if we find out the reason and take effective measures the environment can be better.

If we trace the cause for haze weather,the main points are as follows,first,our countrys air quality standards are rather lax and evaluation factors are limited,so you will see that current air appraisal system has defects. Second,some people just go for economic interests instead of turning out products according to relevant law and regulations. They tend to use obsolete equipment in which they are more likely to emit a great deal of wasted air. Third,across our society,the awareness of protecting the environment has not built up so that people havent formed a habit of using green product and saving energy as much as possible. If we dont take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to face an increasingly awful situation.

Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve the environment. In my opinion, to protect the environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, people should be educated to recognize the importance of the problems, to use modern methods of birth control, to conserve our natural resources and recycle our products. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the policy of population into practice, because more people mean more pollution. Finally,laws concerning environmental protection should be put into effect and enforce strictly just as our government has been doing. To sum up,if we work together to take out such measures,our environment will get better and better and haze weather will vanish completely.

Last week, I saw a very impressive documentary about panda. A professor

studied panda in the early 1980s went to the wild life and kept trace of wild

giant panda for many years. As a result, he found that it was human being that

made these lovely animals die out. At that time, many people believed that giant

panda became less because of the low rate of newborn babies. But it was not

true. People cut trees for making profit at that time. Panda lose homeland and

they lacked of food. Thanks to these valuable data, the government took the

policy to protect the animals. So today, the number of giant panda is

increasing. People realize the importance of protecting the environment and it

is the best way to protect wild animals, they are the indispensable part of the

nature.

我的家乡在沁阳，听爷爷说，以前的家乡美丽如画。山清水秀，小河清澈见底，像一面光滑的镜子，小鱼在河水里欢快地游来游去，有的好像在捉迷藏，有的好像在比赛游泳。

Today, when I awaked up, I found the air-conditioner didn’t work. I used

the control, but it still didn’t work. I knew the air-conditioner was in

trouble. I went downstairs. My father told me two air-conditioner and two

computer had been broken. Because my father used electric making machine to make

electric, so the voltage was not stable. It led to the trouble. Oh! Whenever the

government will let the factory use electric? If it lasts longer, I will be

Today I am very glad here to share my opinionsabout the protection of environment.

With the development ofscience and technology ,different kinds of pollution has been produced andcaused global concern recently.

As we know, people have beenliving on the earth for thousands of years, human activity damaged natural environment, such as excessive abuse of natural resources ,the sewage dischargedfrom factories ,the animal slaughter ,kinds of chemical fertilizers andgreen-house effect. All that is mentioned above has a bad impact on the eco-system .Now, many animals aredying out. We are suffering from unhealthy food and water, we are faced withharmful rays and global warming. It was ourselves who had made a series oftroubles. As you can see, we are the final victim.

Above all, if we human beings cannot recognize theseserious problems and try our best to solve them soon, we would finally lose theenvironment suitable for us to live. So, it is our duty to protect theenvironment ,but what should we do to protect it?

In my opinion, the first and important thing is tounite all forces ,that is to say---gather all hearts together. Next we shouldprotect and plant more trees, which can dispose of the dust in the air. As forfamilies, it is effective to ride bicycles rather than drive cars. Don’t litteranywhere as you like. In addition, sorting and recycling the rubbish also playan essential role in the protection of our earth. We’d better call on everyone aroundus to lead a low-carbon life, as it may make a difference to the environment.

Thus, it’s high time that we did something to improveour surroundings. Everybody should raise the awareness to protect our motherearth. Let’s appeal to more people to join us.

have quit many times - but he didnt and because he didnt quit, he became one

of the greatest presidents in the history of America.

Lincoln was a champion For the reason that ---he ,never gave up.

In short, no matter you succeed or not, you can learn something, no matter

what we learn will help us to become more confident. If we give up, we have no

每年，甚至是每天，全中国大概都要产生成千上万的垃圾吧，在读这篇文章之前，我只知道垃圾产生量很大，许多垃圾车每天都是“满载而归”，但现在我才发现，人类，正在用垃圾杀死自然，我们也是这众多杀手中的一员。

我曾经看过一个帖子，一种海龟，是世界上唯一可以消化玻璃的海龟，叫玳瑁，它没有任何天敌，却栽在了人类手里，因为其龟壳有很大药用价值，也可用来制成饰品，故遭到大肆捕杀，已成为国家二级保护动物，人类不仅制造垃圾，还要对唯一可以消化垃圾的生灵赶尽杀绝？而且许多动物都被发现尸体中有大量垃圾，有太多动物是因为进食垃圾无法消化导致死亡，还有许多水中的动物被塑料缠住，最后被活活勒死！以为这和自己无关，但你随手扔的垃圾，可能会来到你的餐桌上，慢慢杀死你！

我们点的餐，吃了多少？因为面子，所以有理由浪费？这才是真正没有素养的做法吧。

与其在墙上大肆张贴标语，不如从现在做起，大自然总会饶恕。

The animal is the friend of our human beings. We live in the same earth.

Animals and human beings can’t be separated from each other. But some animals

are getting less and less. So it’s necessary for us to protect animals,

especially wild animals. Some people kill wild animal because of money. It’s

illegal. Beside, because of the development of society, human needs more space

to live in, so we explore the forest. Animals have less space to live in. The

number of wild animals decreases year by year. It’s high time to take actions to

protect wild animals.
