The Forbidden City is rectangular in shape。 It is 960 meters long from north to south and 750 meter wide from east west。 It has 9，900 rooms under a total roof area 150，000 square meters。 A 52-meter-wide-moat encircles a 9。 9-meter—high wall which encloses the complex。 Octagon —shaped turrets rest on the four corners of the wall。 There are four entrances into the city: the Meridian Gate to the south， the Shenwu Gate (Gate of Military Prowess) to the north， and the Xihua Gate (Gate of military Prowess) to the north， and the Xihua Gate (Western Flowery Gate ) to the west， the Donghua (Eastern Flowery Gate) to the east。

Manpower and materials throughout the country were used to build the Forbidden City。 A total of 230，000 artisans and one million laborers were employed。 Marble was quarried from fangshan Country Mount Pan in Jixian County in Hebei Province。 Granite was quarried in Quyang County in Hebei Province。 Paving blocks were fired in kilns in Suzhou in southern China。 Bricks and scarlet pigmentation used on the palatial walls came from linqing in Shandong Province。 Timber was cut， processed and hauled from the northwestern and southern regions。

我跟很多男孩子一样，喜欢运动，喜欢打电子游戏。特别是一打游戏就把什么事情都忘掉。记得有一次，我在打游戏，妈妈打了个电话给我说今天自己会晚一点才会回来，叫我先煮饭，我答应了。接着我又去打游戏了，打着打着就入了迷，把什么事情都忘了。一直打到妈妈回来才停了下来，妈妈问：“你的饭煮好了没有?”我才记起自己没有煮饭。害的大家都没饭吃。

我的性格很内向，不喜欢主动和别人打招呼。妈妈教我很多次，但是我还是跟以前一样。我就是一个样的，死性不改。

以后，我一定要看更多的书，学更多的知识，还要改掉这些坏毛病，让妈妈放心，让所有的人都喜欢我。

我是爪爪，一个14岁的女生。

我的性格好像变色龙，经常改变。时而开朗，时而内向，对待新事物总有好奇之心，但又会胆小怯懦。我讨厌恶毒尖锐的事物，喜爱和平温暖的感觉。

我爱好优闲，平时爱读一读书，听一听音乐。自认毫无运动细胞，不管是哪个运动都很差。我喜欢看《哈利·波特》的小说和电影，也喜欢看动漫。

我擅长的科目是英语，数学和物理一般，语文还有待加强。当上语文课代表后，我一定会加强学习语文，争取在九次语文考试当中取得进步，达到令老师满意的成绩。

我梦想是能够有一座属于我自己的农场，而且我要把它开在城市的中心，养很多动物，还要种上最新鲜最绿色的蔬菜水果。我要我的爸爸妈妈和我一起经营农场，使它成为中国内地少有的美国式农场。我不一定要轰轰烈烈的生活，只要平和温馨而又不缺乏诗间与乐趣，我就很满足了。

大家好，我是xx，因为刚好出生在xx，老爸又刚好姓夏，于是“下xx”就首发出场了，而且妈妈也希望我如雨后春笋、天天向上哦！呵呵后来因为一部分人实在不忍心在晴朗的天气里叫我xx，为避免引起“混乱”，就只好舍弃了这个颇有个性的简单名字，退而成“小名“了。我的大名也简单，其实就一个“翌”字，因为我出生的日子刚好是爸爸妈妈结婚2周年纪念日的第二日。“夏翌”谐音宁波话“暇意”，大家希望我暇暇意意，呵呵，有点嫌”翌”字太文绉绉，就把它给拆了，一分为二成羽立了。

大家都说我是个阳光女孩，因为我是开心果啊。我老是坐不住，呵呵，能跟小椅子成为好朋友，是老师和爸爸妈妈现在的最大心愿。我喜欢跳舞，但最好能跟着音乐自己起舞，不用按老师的要求练基本功；我喜欢画画，但最好是信手涂鸦，把小朋友的脸画成绿色也没关系；我喜欢溜冰，但最有趣的还是约上三五好友，一起练习如何摔跤??

长大了，我想成为炒小菜的师傅，当然我也想念最好的大学。
