暑假里，我和爸爸妈妈去了海南省三亚市旅行。

放假了，我想学游泳，爸爸就带我去报名参加游泳班。学游泳的地方是我们县城的淯江河，这条河从竹海流来，绕城而过，学游泳的河段距离下游的拦河闸不远，所以这儿的水很平静，河床也比较平坦，河水的深度保持在一米四五，这真是一个学游泳的好地方!下水后，我发现河水很清，清得看得见脚下的小鹅卵石;水凉凉的，把身上的热气一下就带走了。教练教游泳就三个步骤：换气、手上动作、脚上动作。

每天六点钟，闹钟一响我就起床，换上泳裤，带上装备就出发了。教练先让我们做热身操，然后戴上泳帽和防水眼镜下水，一开始练习的就是换气。在齐胸的河水里，先深吸一大口气，然后迅速把头埋在水里，像鱼儿一样在水里缓缓吐气，一串串水泡就从脸边上往上溜走。气吐完了，便又露出水面深呼吸。这样反复练习，我做了一百多次。

接下来，教练就开始训练我们的手上动作。他先示范给我们看，手要像剑一样从胸前快速往前方射出去，再往两侧划水，最后要把手收到胸前。我练习这个动作时老是出错，双手划水后我总把手放在两肋。教练发现一次纠正一次，在他的耐心帮助下，我用了很长一段时间，终于纠正过来了。

手上动作会了就学脚上动作了。教练教我们两脚弯曲，小腿贴着大腿，然后分开，把脚掌向外翻并用力一蹬，身子就会往前游动。脚上动作配合手上动作，就不会往下沉了。我们练习了好一会儿，把手和脚练习协调了，就基本上能游动了。

最后是训练耐力，每次在教练指定的路线游20个来回。距离并不算远，估计只有10多米吧，但一开始我们都练得气喘吁吁，很是吃力。坚持几天后，我们就习惯了，还能直接游到河对岸再回来。

学会了游泳，我心里乐滋滋的。游泳不仅可以带来快乐，还可以锻炼身体，更重要的是，它还是一项求生的本领。

There were many activities which were funny and helped us to strengthen our oral English skills, such as, the Second Annual National Debate for Middle School Students,the Third National English Speech Competition for Middle School Students and English parties. We also visited many places of interest. Learning English was exciting and the teachers were very friendly and helpful. This camp was a real life-changing experience that I will never forget.

After the challenging College Entrance Examination, my anticipated summer holiday has begun. I will have a long winter holiday for almost three month. But I have already planned for it. Firstly, I will have a good rest at home and spend some time with my parents. I studied at school before, so I don’t have much time to company them. And then, I want to take a part-time job.
