Thanksgivingis a time for tradition and sharing. Even if they live far away,family members gather for a reunion at the house of an olderrelative. All give thanks together for the good things that theyhave.

In thisspirit of sharing, civic groups and charitable organizations offera traditional meal to those in need, particularly the homeless. Onmost tables throughout the United States, foods eaten at the firstthanksgiving have become traditional.

What shouldwe thank?

Seeing my whole education history, I have many teachers. But my favorite

teacher is only one. He is Mr Lu. He is my middle Chinese teacher and head

teacher. He is about fifty years old. Maybe he works too hard, so his back is a

little bent. He always wears a black glasses. He looks amiable but serious in

study. He always thinks us before everything. His class is very interesting and

full of different kinds of encouraging stories. He is very strict to us in

study. But whoever has difficulties, he would help us without hesitation.

Sometimes he plays the role of a strict teacher, sometimes he takes the place of

a kind father.

一个人的一生总有不少的梦想，特别在小时候。那时的我经常望着天空发呆，想天外的东西，想某一天能飞到太空去去看看到底有什么东西。这个梦想比较大，现在还没实现。但有些小梦想还是能实现的。我们生活着，就是去实现一些想实现的东西，为这个梦想拼搏。

梦想，总是随我的生活阅历的增长而变得更加的实际，并非那么难以触摸。等我稍稍长大的时候，感觉太空人梦想太遥远，于是决定梦想做一个科学家；到了初中我想到科学家没有什么自由，决定梦想做一个考上重点高中的学生。

生活中，当我看见整天只会吃喝玩乐的人，我心里感到惋惜。当我看见浪费时间，无所事事的人，我感到可笑。我庆幸自己的生活中始终有着梦想，它伴着平凡的生活而产生，也在不知不觉中改变着、丰富着我的生活。

梦想给予了我的生活很大动力，要我去战胜它，才能实现下一个梦想。生活中，忙忙碌碌一天放学回家，这样的日子很单调，有时候赶着上课还是一双睡眼。半夜，繁星在天鹅绒的夜空中安静地闪烁，城市安静地睡去了。桌上的台灯仿佛也现出抱怨的情绪，投下昏暗的影子。“唉，不写了，到学校补作业吧！”每当我有这样的情绪，就想起梦想向我招手的样子，顿时充满了勇气……

16岁，我的豆蔻年华，我的生活中并没有很多的大风大浪；而我自己想做的的是，为平凡的生活涂上五彩的颜色，而这只画笔，就是心中长存的梦想。

我相信，在实现梦想的过程中，会有很多的挫折和无数的磨难，要经历炼狱般的磨练。但我仍不会灰心丧气，因为我心中有梦想，我相信我的生活会因梦想而大放异彩。

时代在进步，经济在发展，人们却忽略了与生活息息相关的环境。大片的森林被砍伐，碧绿的青山被挖掘，美丽的草原变成了荒漠，清澈的河水变成了浊流。树林少了，青山秃了，草原荒了，清水黑了，地球上的动物植物种类和数量急剧减少，生态环境受到了严重的威胁。破坏环境终将得到大自然的惩罚。地球气候变暖，南北极冰川加速融化，灾害性天气频繁出现，沙丘吞噬了万亩良田，洪水拆散了千万个家园。难道要使时代得以进步，经济得以腾飞，就必须以破坏环境作为代价吗？

保护地球的生活环境就是我的梦想。保护这个生活坏境，是我们每个人的责任，这个梦想也要靠我们每个人的素质的提升来实现。我曾清楚地记得我国的学者胡适先生说过，“一个肮脏的国家，如果人人讲规则而不是空谈道德，最终会变成一个有人味儿的正常国家，道德自然会逐渐回归；反之，一个干净的国家，如果人人都不讲规则却大谈道德、谈高尚，天天没事儿就谈道德规范，人人大公无私，最终这个国家会堕落成为一个伪君子遍布的肮脏国家。”

我们不仅每个人身上都应该有素质的提升与体现，而且我们必须每个人都齐心协力。

俗话说得好，“人多力量大，众人拾柴火焰高。”当遇到有人破坏环境时，我们应该上前劝说他们，并告诉他们保护环境的重要性。因为每个人的环保行动就像一盏灯，当它亮起时，周围的黑暗就会少一些。如果大家都点亮自己那盏灯，整个世界将会变成一片光明。

众所周知，地球所拥有的自然资源是有限的，人类如果保护环境，我们的生活就会幸福美满。相反，如果我们破坏环境，不仅地球的生命会受到严重威胁，而且人类的生活也会发生巨大的改变，人类的生存也会受到严重的威胁。

如果某天，所有的心灵都被人为地禁锢在囚笼中，彼此因为漂泊得太远，再也无法寻觅各自的身影。因此我们每个人都不希望我们的眼泪变成世界上最后一滴水，也不希望一颗米会成为我们最后的粮食，更不希望世界上最后一棵树会成为我们共同的氧气。所以，保护地球就是保护自己！

Above

all, we should recognize our strengths and weaknesses. For example, I am healthy

and fit, so I can work hard. Im also optimistic, humble and polite. These are

my strengths. However, I also have weaknesses. For one thing, Im stubborn and a

little impatient. Im sometimes lazy as well and can spent a whole day just

watching TV and eating junk food. Im not ashamed to admit these bad pints.

Knowing what they are lets me focus on improving myself.

Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams.

However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. I dont think our school life is colorful. Because weve got so many classes every day. I wonder whether we can change our school life someday. You see, from Monday to Friday, I have to stay at school. the only relaxation is to listen to the radio or play ball games. At weekends, we need to go to school to have classes, too. I know its very important for us to study well now. As the saying goes, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. "I want to step into the nature. I hope we will have more activities such as visiting museums, taking part in different kinds of contests, attending some lectures and so on. Is it only a dream?

My dream is to become a doctorEver since I was little, Ive had a secret desire inside of me that Ive been almost ashamed of: I want to be a doctor. I dont know why, and Ive always known its ridiculous, since my worst subjects are math and science. Im not altogether terrible at them, but Im more of a literature person.

Im also pretty lazy, which makes me think theres no way I could survive medical school. Should I make myself stop? Is there any chance of me being somethign Ive always wanted to be?
