我的名字叫汪博扬，出生在“鱼米之乡”的安庆。今年，是祖国成立六十周年，也是改革开放三十周年。在这个不平凡的六十年里，我的家乡安庆，在慢慢变得繁荣富强……

如今，时隔六十年，我们的祖国发生了翻天覆地的变化，而我的家乡，安庆，也悄悄发生了变化……

听爷爷说，他小时候可从来没住过高楼大厦，甚至都很少见过。那时，每家每户都只有一间小平房，条件好点的也只是多几间或门前有一个小院落。那时家里的地面可不像现在是一块块干净明亮的瓷砖铺成的，而是凹凸不平、尘土飞扬的黄土地！那时的屋顶也不是水泥制成的，而是一块块瓦片铺成的。所以一有瓦片掉落或破裂，又正好遇上下雨，那就会出现外面下大雨家里下小雨的现象；如果雨大的话，地面还有可能因为积水太多而出现一个个小水坑！

再看现在的安庆，高楼大厦一座比一座高；从前的小平房也摇身一变，成为了厂房幢幢；那坑坑洼洼的黄土地被一块块精致、优美，并且一尘不染的瓷砖代替了；曾经经常漏水的瓦屋顶，也由水泥屋顶“接班”了。而且现在，每个单元的门前，都有一个鸟语花香的小花园；晚上吃过饭，人们来到花园里散散步——既休闲，又优雅！

除了听长辈说的变化，我自己也亲眼见证了安庆的变化。

市民广场这个地方大家都很熟悉，可是在建成之前，这里完全是另一番景象：一块块不规则的大石头胡乱摆放在一起；坑坑洼洼的小路上不时冒出几簇野草，孤零零地长着；有时，路边可能还会有几包垃圾！所以，除非是万不得已，否则基本没人来这儿。

再看看现在的这里，晚上变色灯像七色的彩虹，把这儿照耀得犹如仙境！节假日的大广场上，人来人往：散步的、溜冰的、滑滑板的……有时，广场上的“音乐喷泉”还会开呢，每当这时，广场上可就更热闹了，欢呼声、叫喊声、笑声以及音乐声，合为一体，奏出了一首震撼人心的大型交响乐！

这就是我的家乡——安庆，发生的巨大的变化。这一切，都是党的“改革开放”政策带来的。在这里，我要感谢党带给我们的好生活，也祝愿：我的家乡安庆，今后变得更加美丽富饶，更加繁荣昌盛！还要向我的家乡深情地说一句：“我爱您！”

I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong

University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I

am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

Education background

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology

(NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During

the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among

the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I

got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission

test.

At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5%

in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is

given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer

Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the

ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university.

Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of

Excellent Graduation Thesis.

Research experience and academic activity

When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to

narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and

Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It

is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled

a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This

was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and

experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research

interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research

(especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid

system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

My name is ________. There are 4 people in my family. My father is a Chemistry teacher. He teaches chemistry in senior high school. My mother is an English teacher. She teaches English in the university. I have a younger brother, he is a junior high school student and is preparing for the entrance exam.

I like to read English story books in my free time. Sometimes I surf the Internet and download the E-books to read. Reading E-books is fun. In addition, it also enlarges my vocabulary words because of the advanced technology and the vivid animations.

我的家乡在广州，广州有一座美丽的白云山。白云山可漂亮了！白云山的空气清新，人们都喜欢。老爷爷和老奶奶每天都会上山晨运，星期六、日这里更是人山人海。山上的路两边是花草树木，绿油油的树木展开了手臂，好像正在欢迎前来欣赏风景的游客。小野花和小草苗围着大树妈妈做游戏，说来说去“沙沙沙……”。树木多，小鸟和其它小昆虫自然就多了，快乐的小鸟与鸟妈妈和鸟爸爸在天上自由的飞翔。夏天，蝉还会在树上不停地叫“知了、知了”以外，什么也不会了。来到山顶的亭子，可以休息一下，再继续赶路。

写到这里，我想起这段时间因为上课，上白云山比较少了，有点想它了，星期天有空要和爸爸妈妈上一趟，呼吸那里清新的空气，还有闻一闻花香和草味了。

虽然一直生活在西安，但有幸到我的家乡江西去考察旅行，这些地方在江西的时候我一直没有去过，这次让我重新去认识我的家乡。

婺源李坑，刚进景区，真的觉得回到了自己小时候的农村。进村后再看见这样的小桥人家，马上变化。但是李坑由于在修高速，整体的破坏了李坑的美，特别是在村的山上往下拍，一道高速大煞风景。另外就是李坑到处在大兴土木，到处听到锯声，李坑，真的没有想象中那么地美，来李坑，一定要买樟木的东东，无论是大的几百浮雕还是一块钱的小樟木驱蚊平安符小手链，如果方便还是值得拥有的。因为后来发现在其它地方没有如此优惠的价格。

后来我们到了彩虹桥景区，看到这样一座古老的桥，干净得可以洗菜的河水，真的安静得感觉是自己打扰了时光的感觉。

我最惊喜的发现是后来新开发的景区－篁岭，篁岭的古村落，徽派建筑。春夏秋冬都会看到四季花海，夏天可以坐看雨，秋天可以看到晒秋景色，冬看雪。刚下好雨，静静地呆在多年的房子里看对面的变幻的云海。怎一个美字了得。

离开中国最美的乡村婺源，来到我从来没去过的庐山，没有三清山的秀美，但是名气压倒一切。在这里，最便宜的一柱香要50起，所以当香炉都以钱论英雄的时候，神灵我只能说对不起。我不信佛，但是我尊重。因为外婆是忠实的佛教信徒，到有香火的地方我都会放点香火钱。到庐山之后，不由得怀念起在云丘山了的香火，十块钱可以烧，30还行，300多也行，至少还能接受，当然我就更怀念西安财神庙给点钱随心意而就可以点香的地方，更怀念南普佗寺千年的香火，直接可以免费领香，对所有人完全免费开放。庐山给我最意外的是如琴湖的美，刚出发的时候，竟然雾到连小亭都没有看到。美国著名的一位旅行家说过一句话：我觉得世界上最美的一把琴在庐山上。等下山之后，竟然雾变轻了，看见小亭，湖水，远处的青山，配上庐山的烟雨蒙蒙，真的如处仙境。

看庐山的美景真的只能说缘分，看到太阳很正常，下雨也很正常。一切的一切就在你去的时候天给你一个什么样的庐山。三叠泉很美，庐山唯一一条徒步线路，走过五座桥就到了，可是我等我花了几小时去到三叠泉的时候是雾色正浓。唯有风和雨的声音，对于美景，只能想象在心中。庐山上的猴子，对所有的感觉吃的东西非常敏感，背好包是必须的。甚至直接从客人手中抢东西。剥鸡蛋的水平很是了得。

个人觉得，对于外地游客来说，江西的整体服务意识有待提高，对服务生等还不能有太高的要求。作为江西人，对这片土地永远是无限的热爱的。

也许等我老了，我会回到我的家乡，到那里坐看花开花落。我要3月份的时候回去，去挖一挖翠竹笋，我再去感觉下我为什么连被笋绊倒也找不到它。我要4月份去看故乡满山的大红色映山红，没有任何的载培，大红的一树，紫红的一树；它们就静静地在那里；深山里的香花，以及深山里的幽兰花。到现在都不明白为什么幽兰花那么地香。还要去采一次茶，屋前屋后的茶叶树，嫩嫩的茶叶，与农药无关。我要6月份的时候回去，去摘野山上的杨梅。一盆盆在那放着，吃到牙倒为止。曾经我为之竟然旷过课。那天听小学同学说我不时候从来不怕迟到，我竟有点不相信自己。我要7月份的时候回去，去看远山的雨是如何以最快的速度到我的眼前，而且太阳就在那里，然后彩虹升起；我要中秋节的时候回去，去看我门口的金黄色桂花树，在那棵树上，我躺在最低的那个枝头上，唱过歌，也曾爬上过最高的那个枝头，跟鸟抢过枝头。更是曾经赶走过一批批想要一枝桂花的小孩们。中秋节，当风雨过后，整个村子的桂花香。当然，我会再次去捡板粟。我要过年前回去，和妈妈再做一次腊肉；磨豆腐做豆泡。

My Hometown

No matter where I am, I find it hard to resist the tempting call of my hometown. Situated at the northern tip of Anhui province, my hometown, Dangshan county, is the junction of four provinces. They are respectively in Anhui, Jiangsu, Shandong and Henan.

记得上次吃龙虾还是去年的事了。那天，好几家子人聚在我家吃饭。因为那天正好我们几个小孩闲着无聊钓了好多龙虾，我们又吵着要吃，所以爸爸干脆上街又买了很多，那天的情景可真是壮观啊。“吃饭啦！”听到这三个字，大家都不约而同地向餐桌靠近。“哇……”一听就知道是我们这些小馋猫的叫声，但也难怪，桌上好几大碗炸龙虾，一个个又大又红，谁看了不激动！

筷子都没拿，我们这些小孩就开始竞争，看谁抢得多。大人们看着都哈哈大笑。拿着一只超大的龙虾，啊，怎么办呢？是先吃尾巴还是吃爪子？管他呢，千万不要以为夹子不好吃，实际上龙虾最好吃的就是它，但可惜的是只有一点点肉。

“咔嚓”一声，终于咬破了，这夹子也太硬了，但是，为了里面的美味，付出这点力气是值得的。尾巴也是很美味的。先剥去壳，里面的肉本是白色的，但由于经过油炸之后，有的染了点红色，软软的，放在嘴里，咬上两口，天啊，简直像在天堂生活。

其实，还有好多好多好吃的食物，但是，我最热衷的还是炸龙虾，有机会，希望大家都去尝一尝，一定不会让你们失望。

我的家乡在新昌，那里群山环绕，树木茂盛，风景优美。

春天，你们来到我的家乡爬山的话，一定要去挑战天姥山，那里百花齐放，鸟语花香，山顶云雾缭绕，一片朦胧，与天相连，听说还有神仙住在那里呢。当然，我的家乡还有好多去处，比如穿岩十九峰、十里潜溪、沃州湖、大佛寺……

夏天，我的家乡到处绿树成阴，人们在下面乘凉，有的在河里游泳，有的在抓小鱼。去野外玩累了，还可以在草地上休息，渴了就舀一瓢清凉清凉的泉水喝个够。

秋天，我的家乡是丰收的季节。如果你来我的家乡，热情好客的人们会拿出最好吃的小京生给你吃，还会泡上热腾腾的自家茶叶让你品尝，临走前，还大包小包让你带走，比如板栗、白术、柿子、芋饺、米海茶等等。

冬天，我的家乡非常热闹，大家坐在一起聊天、烤火、品茶、讲故事，日子过得非常开心。

说起我的家乡——徐州这边过春节的事，那真是太有意思了！我们喜欢把过春节说成是“过年”，而且是“红红火火过大年”。

“买年货”是最最重要的。每到过年，妈妈都会把家里的大冰箱塞得满满的，鸡、鱼、肉、蛋、蔬菜、水果应有尽有，我们徐州人过年讲究年年有余，准备食品那是多多益善。另外就是要给全家人添置新衣，当然购买春联、鞭炮等喜庆物品也是必不可少的。

其次给我印象最深的就是“除尘”，其实就是“大扫除”。妈妈会提前一个月就开始打扫卫生，把家里里里外外、从上到下，全部擦洗一遍，而我一有时间就被抓去帮忙，每次都把我累得腰酸腿疼！妈妈说，这就叫辞旧迎新。哎！

贴“春联”和贴“福”字这两个活也是我的，得大年初一一大早就贴上。“福”字还得倒着贴，意思是“福到了”。屋里屋外、门上墙上，到处都是大大小小的“福”字，显得很是喜庆，寄托了我们徐州人民对幸福生活的向往。

“放鞭炮”和“拜年”是我最最喜欢的了。响炮、花炮，长的、短的，别人不敢放的我都敢放。拜年！那是为了赚“压岁钱”，每年这时候我都是满载而归！特“爽”！

说到“守岁”，那我可就是“说话的巨人，行动的矮子”了，一过了十二点，就困得上下眼皮直打架，早把自己说过的话丢到九霄云外去了！

最后就到了元宵节。吃元宵（我们徐州人叫吃“汤圆”，是团圆的意思）、点花灯、猜灯谜是我们徐州的习俗。我的书柜里有一个用面做的“老鼠灯”，是小时候带我的保姆奶奶给我做的，惟妙惟肖，活灵活现，真是神奇极了！

过完了元宵节，春节才算真正过完了。而每年的这时，我都是意犹未尽，真恨不得再重来一遍，没有办法，只好掰着手指头盼着下一个春节快点到来！
