The Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year occasion to the Chinese people. It lasts about the first four days of the year, during which people do not work except for the workers on duty. Students do not go to school, and shops are closed.

Several days before the new year, people begin to prepare. Farmers kill pigs, sheep, cocks and hens. City dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables. Houses are cleaned; couplets are posted on the doors. Colourful lanterns are hung at the gate.

On the eve of the new year, each family has its members gatherd together and eats a family reunion dinner. After the meal they watch TV until the clock strickes twelve. Then every family sets off long strings of small firecrackers and other fireworks to welcome the new year. On the first day of the new year, almost everyone is dressed in his or her best. Whenpeople meet on the way, they say to each other "Happy New Year". Friends and relatives pay new year calls and gives presents to each other. Children indulge themselves in games.

travelingis usually boring. There are always too many people in the places

of interest in China and it is crowed everywhere, when it comes to the golden

weeks, this situation could be worse. Just imagine that you are waiting in line,

hungry and thirsty. All you want is a ticket that can get through the door to

see the beautiful view. You may complain: “why am I coming to the terrible

place? Why I do this to myself?” If you are unlucky, you may encounter a bad

guide who forces you to shop here and there. How horrible it is! What’s worse,

you may spend more money than usually does.

Why don’t you just stay at home and enjoy the cozy life? You don’t need to

go outside to see the view, you can just turn on the TV or computer, the amazing

view will represent in front of you. You not only save a large sum of money, but

also your precious time. And you can do other things too, such as watching a

classic movie, chatting with friends on the phone or surfing the Internet. This

could be so much fun! Therefore, I prefer to stay at home instead of going

outside.

As an outgoing junior school student, I have many interests, such as

watching movies, reading books, searching the Internet, playing computer games,

attending various sports. In the spare time, the one thing I like most is

watching movies, because it’s very convenient and interesting. Usually, movies

tell wonderful stories to us. They are humorous, sad, happy, intricate or

thought-provoking. You can get many from a good movie. Besides, my favorite

sport is basketball. Every time after I play basketball, I feel relaxed. I focus

on the game and I don’t let anything to influence on me. It’s really a wonderful

feeling.

Ideal is good, is happy, is the ideal starting point for success. Healthy eating habits are very important for our health. We should build

healthy eating habits. We should eat fresh vegetables and fruits everyday.They

supply rich and the necessary vitamins for us. We also should eat less meat

everday.And we had better drink a glass of milk in the morning or at night.

Besides, we should focus on abalanced diet, which assures us the necessary

nutritions. Junk food is a fatal killer for our health so that we should stay

far from them. It is said that most of students do not eat anything at all in

the morning. It is very bad for our health. Breakfast is the most important meal

这位队员一边看着书，一边虎视耽耽地望着老师。瞧，他刚翻一页，就抬头看看老师，接着又翻一页，然后有抬头望望老师，这样重复循环，真不知道他把内容看进去没有。看见老师的目光没有扫向他，他赶紧抓住机会连翻几页，然后突然抬头，盯着老师。

敢死队员2号：动作怪怪型

这位队员可有点怪了，看着书，一会儿掏掏鼻子，一会儿打打哈欠，一会儿摸摸耳朵，一副惟恐天下不乱的样子，好像不让老师发现他的举动就不甘心似的，真是个怪人。

敢死队员3、4号：谈天说地型

这两位同学有些不把老师放在眼里了，边看书边聊天。我隐隐约约听见他们说冒险岛OL，说漫画内容，说小说，说娱乐咨询，就连老师和同学的目光扫向他们，也无济于事。

敢死队员5号：边学边看型

这位同学好像有些明白学习的重要性，看了几分钟的书，马上立起来听老师的讲课。课上一半时，老师为了扫查班上的敢死队，把同学们一个叫起一个问问题。这下可让这群敢死队员们开始惶恐不安了，他们连书都顾不着看呢。而这位队员呢，看一会儿就学学，这一招算是对他的MISS了。

敢死队员6号：理直气壮型

这位同学可是班上的霸王级分子了（注：别乱想，不是我啊），他可是一人之下，几十人之上，谁敢对他不敬，他的落雷马上就落在你头上了，（注：我已经欠了他3顿打了，要不是我能帮他弄电脑作业，我早就魂飞天了）因此每人敢告发他。不知是她的好运还是老师放水，他这样看了一堂课，竟然都没半点被批评，真太不公平了！！

谁知道，老师从天而降，为了抓住敢死分子，居然来个背后突袭，到所有座位后边地毯式搜索。5名敢死队员唰地一声，在同一时间内放下书，装起乖乖。只有敢死队员6号稳如泰山，而老师的目光明明瞄准了他，可老师却好像在放水一样，竟纵容他在自己眼皮子底下活动，真气死人了！而其他5位的敢死队员便无机可乘，只好乖乖停课，唯独6号占了便宜。

years,especially among young people。

Volunteering is of tremendous benefits to both those in need and

society.Take the Wenchuan Earthquake as an example.Hundreds of thousands of

human being a lesson. In the movie The Day After Tomorrow, people were in the

great disaster that caused by the greenhouse effect, it just like the end of the

world, there was no way for people to avoid such great disaster. The movie

reminds people of the result they did harm to the environment, it will revenge

people, people have to face the disaster. It is very important to protect the

environment, people should get along with the environment.

A fun-filled， pain-free lifestyle equaling happiness actually reduces their

chances of ever obtaining real happiness. As a result，many people avoid the very

attempts that are the source of true happiness.And the real happiness always

contains some pain .In the other hand， true happiness has nothing to do with

fun. All those who always have so much fun actually may not be happy at all.

I have a bitter experience. When I was a child， I lived a poor life，and I

respecting each other. And now we have some money，and our life has improved a

What impresses me most in Beijing is the Great Wall which is one of the

greatest projects in the world.

Its not only the cultural heritage, but also a symbol of China. "Its

glorious." I think. It looks like a big dragon running across the mountainous

area. It starts Shanhaiguan in the east to Jiayuguan in the west.Its so long that nobody can walk from the beginning to the end.It was firstly built in Qin Dynasty and prolonged in Ming and Qing

dynasties.It was used to protect the enemies from invading in the past, but now it

has become the place of interest which attracts so many tourists both at home

and abroad.

When I was standing on the top of the Great Wall, I felt as if I were in

ancient days.

I could see many laborers working very hard. How could they finish this

extremely difficult task by hand?

以前，老师排座位时，我大部分都是和男同学同桌，很少和女生同桌过。这个学期，老师让我和易娟同桌，我心里那个高兴啊!终于可以和女同学“久别重逢”了，可是麻烦也接踵而来。

有一次，我们一起写数学作业时，突然她的胳膊撞了我的胳膊一下，弄得我字也写丑了，要知道我可是极度重视书写的，她还把我的胳膊撞得生疼，我的怒气慢慢上升，瞪着眼睛望着她，她却不知道事情的“严重性”，仍然拿着本子对我说：“吴哲炜，你知道这个题目怎么做吗?”我望着她明澈的眼睛不知该说什么，只好对她说：“易娟，我们画个‘三八线’，都不能超过对方的‘边界’，超过了就任凭对方处置。”“画就画，谁怕谁呀!”易娟叉着腰，头仰着天不服气地说道。于是，我们画好线，开始了激烈的“地盘争夺战。”

“喂，你超过了我的地盘哦!”“你怎么到我的地盘来了呢?”……我们不仅打口水仗，还做地下战争呢!上杂课时，我们表面上认真地听老师讲课，下面却正叫劲呢!不时的拳脚相加，将对方打得连连后退，最终不得不退出战场，灰溜溜地“逃走”。我常以胜利者的姿态向易娟示威，正当我洋洋得意时，“易娟大军”来了个突然袭击，将我的“手臂大军”打得全军覆没，还将我干净又漂亮的“字宝宝”“摧残”得“面目全非”了。我决心报复，趁她不注意，我向她进攻，她被我这一举动，吓得惊慌失措，“大军”连连后撤。“哈哈……”我高兴得又拍手又跺脚的，而易娟只好垂头丧气地站在一旁。

虽然平常我们总是开战，但是如果对方有点小困难或什么东西没带时，我们都会尽力帮助对方，有题不会做时，我们都给对方讲解，直到她明白为止，这使我在学习上又多了一个小帮手。

总之，形容我们是一句话——不是冤家不聚头。

May 12th, 2008. That’s the most mournful day for our Chinese that will

never be forgotten, because a horrible earthquake happened in Wenchuan, which

caused tens of thousands of children’s death.

On hearing the news, I felt so sorrowful. “Why was the god so cruel to

them?” I asked. They were still at the entrance of the life. They seemed like

little eagles that were willing to open their wings and hover in the sky. Maybe

they would have their brilliant future. What a great loss to our nation! I had

my deepest sympathy on the people in the disastrous area. So I donated some

money and clothes to them. And I also prayed for the dead people sincerely. I

eagerly hope that there would be no earthquakes in the future, so that we could

live a more peaceful life.

时光飞逝，短暂而又愉快的假期生活已经结束了。接下来我所面临的是紧张而又愉快的新学期的教育教学生活。为把新学期的教育教学工作做好，特此作如下教学计划：

一、指导思想。

坚持马列主义，毛泽东思想。高举邓小平理论伟大旗帜，认真学习教育理论，贯彻“三个代表”重要指导思想，积极响应和贯彻素质教育钻研素质教育的实质。“减负”的内在，并以此指导自己的教育教学工作，遵循教育教学规律，紧扣大纲，把我教学层次，不断提高自己的业务水平。

二、基本情况。

这一学期，我继续担任初一(1，2)班的英语教学工作。这两个班级，每班各有学生三十五人左右，但是，基础却不尽人意。初一.1班的学生基础还可以，但是2班的基础却相差很远，学生基础参差不齐，两极分化严重，没有学习的兴趣。因此，教学工作开展的相当困难。

三、教材特点。

初中英语第一册(下)主要介绍了日常生活的交际用语以及一些西方国家的文化背景和风俗习惯，教材通俗易懂，旨在使初一级学生基本能用英语进行简单的交流。

四、教学目标。

力争在期末考试中优秀率打到30%左右，及格率达到60%左右。缩小学生间的差距。为下一学期的英语教育教学工作打下以良好的基础。

五、具体措施。

1、每天背诵课文中的对话。目的：要求学生背诵并默写，培养语感。

2、每天记5个生词，2个常用句子或习语。实施：利用“互测及教师抽查”及时检查，保证效果并坚持下去。

3、认真贯彻晨读制度：规定晨读内容，加强监督，保证晨读效果。

4、坚持日测、周测、月测的形成性评价制度：对英语学习实行量化制度，每日、每周、每月都要给学生检验自己努力成果的机会，让进步的同学体会到成就感，让落后的同学找出差距，感受压力。由此在班里形成浓厚的学习氛围，培养学生健康向上的人格和竞争意识。

5、对后进生进行专门辅导，布置单独的作业，让他们在小进步、小转变中体味学习的快乐，树立学习的自信，尽快成长起来。

6、关注学生的情感，营造宽松、民主、和谐的教学氛围。

7、实施"任务型"的教学途径，培养学生综合语言运用能力。

8、在教学中根据目标并结合教学内容，创造性地设计贴近学生实际的教学活动，吸引和组织他们积极参与。学生通过思考、调查、讨论、交流和合作等方式，学习和使用英语，完成学习任务。

9、加强对学生学习策略的指导，为他们终身学习奠定基础。

10、认真钻研教材，备好，上好每一节课，向45分钟要质量。

总之，新的学期已经开始了，我要以上一学期的基础为起点，树立信心，全身心的投入到新学期的教育教学工作中去。争取在新的一年里，把教育教学工作推向一新的层次。

It is reported that thick fog and haze surround many parts of China. People

have to wear masks when they go out.As air pollution is getting increasingly

worse,it has become the main concern of people.

Air pollution can have serious consequences for human’s health and also

severely affects natural ecosystems. Millions of people die of illnesses related

to air pollution every year.Due to particles from exhaust emissions,green house

effects result in warmer weather,acid rains corrode the earth,and frequent haze

causes traffic problems.

Confronted with such situation,positive measures should be adopted. The

government should keep its regulatory role for properly supervision. Related

rules should be made out for reducing emissions of new vehicles and limiting

high-emission vehicles.Factories should meet standards for curbing emissions of

pollutants in surrounding cities.Meanwhile, provinces and municipalities in each

target region should set up a mechanism for the joint prevention and control of

air pollution.

Recently, the movies about the old people happen to have the magic and then

come back to their 20 years old time are very popular. The old people do all

kinds of crazy things that they never have the chance to do. These movies tell

people that given another chance, they will do whatever they want to do. I

always hear my parents said when they retired, they could carry out all kinds of

their plans and enjoyed the life. In my opinion, when we are young , we shuold

enjoy our moment and chase our dream. It is a little to carry out the plans when

we are old. Youth is the advantages.
