The Pilgrims set ground at Plymouth Rock on December 11, 1620. Their first winter was devastating. And the remaining colonists decided to celebrate with a feast -- including 91 Indians who

had helped the Pilgrims survive their first year. It is believed that the Pilgrims would not have made it through the year without the help of the natives. The feast was more of a traditional English harvest festival than a true "thanksgiving" observance. It lasted three days.

This "thanksgiving" feast was not repeated the following year. But in 1623, during a severe drought, the pilgrims gathered in a prayer service, praying for rain. It wasnt until June of 1676 that another Day of Thanksgiving was proclaimed.

有一次，叔叔他们在农场捉到一只小狐狸，这只可怜的小狐狸被栓在一根木桩上。它孤苦伶仃，不住地嚎叫，我向叔叔提议把它放了，但却被叔叔拒绝，他已找到了买主。

我和堂弟喂小狐狸食物，它却不吃。堂弟悄悄告诉我，两只老狐狸在附近地下做了窝，一定是它们在照顾小狐狸吧！后来，我俩也遇到老狐狸，也许发觉没有伤害它们的意思，对我俩也不再防范，甚至让我轻轻地抚摸它。

一天，我去看小狐狸，却不见小狐狸的踪影。堂弟沮丧地说：“小狐狸被唐先生买走了。一我们一定要把小狐狸还给老狐狸！”我拉着堂弟的手，朝买了小狐狸的唐先生家走去……

当我俩到了唐先生家，看到他坐在冰凉的地上。他不小心被一块石头绊倒，令人情惊异的是，两只老狐狸围在唐先生的身边，

也许嗅到了小狐狸的气味，两只老狐狸找到了唐先生，它们守在他的身边，这种以德报怨的行为，真令人类汗颜啊！

最后，唐先生放走了小狐狸，小狐狸获得了自由，两只老狐狸带着小狐狸跑向密林深处……

啊！这动物的故事，不也充满了爱和亲情吗？

我的老家有一只小动物，它是一只惹人喜欢的狗它的名字叫“妞妞”，它是>我的朋友，一个非常要好的朋友。

它的眼睛黑黑的；它的耳朵又长又黑；身体像天上的满月的月亮 那么的圆；尾巴长长的，像一条长长的绳子；

又一次，妞妞生了一只小狗，我便把小狗放在妞妞身边，妞妞仔细地在照顾着小狗，让它不受到任何一点伤害。如果我想抱了一抱小狗，妞妞就不肯让我抱小狗，即使是我妹妹它也不肯。在晚上，如果很冷的话，妞妞会把小狗抱在自己的怀里，让小狗不会被一股股冷风吹到，当我看到这一幕时，心一酸，便从柜子里拿出一件小衣服，盖在妞妞和小狗的身上。妞妞和小狗便>温暖了许多，我的心便高兴了许多。
