幼长臂猿躺在放有热水袋的棉被里；黑天鹅的“卧室”放上了取暖器；体积庞大的大象周围也烧起堆堆炭火……南宁市这两天温度骤降，预计气温会降到5°C—7°C。天冷了，人会想方设法取暖，可那些不会照顾自己的动物们如何“熬”过这个寒冬呢?记者顶着寒风，来到南宁市动物园去“看望”它们如何过冬。

动物园里怕冷的动物有长臂猿、黑叶猴、松鼠猴、大象、黑天鹅、鳄鱼、蛇、犀牛等，记者一一对它们进行了“拜访”。

引人观注的鳄鱼池没有了往日的喧闹。饲养鳄鱼的师傅说，鳄鱼嘴里有一层鹅黄色的膜，它能吸收大量的热量。而此时因为水里的温度比岸上温度略高，所以它们全部潜到水里找温暖去了。动物园在鳄鱼池边建有暖气房，往年气温降到7°C以下时，工作人员就想办法把半冬眠的鳄鱼一条条拉入室内保温。今年略有些改变，只是在早上和晚上抽取暖和的井水换掉鳄鱼池中冰冷的水，这样，鳄鱼就可以在水里安全过冬了。

最可怜的要数国家一类保护动物长臂猿了，它们最怕冷，两只出生不久的小长臂猿被妈妈抛弃了，冷得嗷嗷直叫。动物园为了救活这两只价值数万元人民币的长臂猿，决定人工喂养，而保暖工作也是无微不至的，像哺育婴儿一样。记者在长臂猿馆里看到，它们暖和的小床上面有厚厚的棉被，还有热水袋，两只小猿已度过了危险期，在房里蹦来蹦去。

大象因为体积庞大，比较难对它保暖，动物园只能在圈大象的栏杆外烧起了炭火给它们取暖，员工们轮流昼夜值班，为大象“烧火”。美丽的黑天鹅没有攻击性，只需在房里放上取暖器就可以了，记者看到它们正在优雅地梳理着羽毛。冬眠的蛇在暖气房里乐不思蜀，一改冬眠的习性，蠕动着身子寻找食物，并作些健身运动。笨重的犀牛住在动物园的仿真草房里，全身披着铠甲似的厚皮，“床”上垫上了可以保温的木板，特别厚。

而那些不怕冷的动物在这样的气温里过得尤为惬意，海狮、狮子、虎、豹等非常活跃。准备参加春节大汇演的海豹正在碧绿的水中强化训练，它们追逐着、打闹着不肯停下。以往这些不怕冷的动物一到天寒地冻时便偷着乐，现在这种“几家欢乐几家愁”的局面已不存在了，有动物园的精心照顾，所有的动物都能够把冬天当作春天过了。

企鹅是唯一不能飞的潜水性海鸟。共有17个品种，分布在南半球，南极数量极多。

企鹅的头、颈、背和翼全都是黑色的，但胸部、腹部是白色的，看上去像穿着燕尾服的绅士。

成年企鹅平均高70—80厘米；体重4—6公斤。不到一米高的企鹅只有4——6公斤，但看他们肥嘟嘟的身材……真想不到，它们还是游泳健将呢！

企鹅是在平坦的地面上用小石块筑成的蝶形凹坑，直径约40——50厘米。这便是企鹅的家，专业人员叫企鹅的家为“巢穴”。

企鹅的天敌有两个，其一为一些动物，另一为天气。贼鸥是企鹅在陆地上的主要天敌，企鹅离开巢穴捕食时，巢中的企鹅卵（蛋）就很容易成为贼鸥的口中之食。刚刚能独立谋生的幼企鹅也因为缺乏生活经验，在陆地上成为贼鸥的啄食对象。另外，幼企鹅入海后又常常被凶猛的海豹吞食。

天气是企鹅的另一个天敌，夏季里时常出现的暴风雪常常把企鹅蛋冻坏，或者把幼企鹅冻死。

由此看来，幼企鹅对于天敌真是无可奈何，死亡率高达50%以上！

如今，人类登上南极后，更给企鹅带来了不幸，数以万计的企鹅因感染人类带去的病毒而死亡，难道人类也变成了企鹅的天敌？

人类总是一味地去观赏、认识企鹅，却往往忽略了保护它、爱护它，搅乱了它们正常的生活。

“喜欢它并不错，但喜欢就要让它们生活得更好”。如果因人类而使这些可爱的动物“灭绝”，不但我们这些喜欢企鹅的人会伤心欲绝，所有人类也会后悔的。

不仅仅是企鹅，我们应该爱护每种动物。不要“失去了才懂得珍惜”。
