Dear Sir,

I saw your advertisement for "the perfect lighter" in Sunday Times last week and immediately sent off a ￡2 postal order and the completed form for the lighter.

Imagine my surprise when all I got in return was a box of matches! I could understand a mistake. I might even pardon a joke. But in this case, your advertisement is a deliberate lie since a friend of mine who also sent the coupon got the same result.

I think its a shame to promise an economical lighter when in fact you are not selling a lighter a1 all. Instead of saying it works quickly, you should admit that you are offering matches. And what about "only" ￡2: I usually pay 10 pennies for a box of matches, and they are often given away free.

I regard your advertisement as a serious deception and demand that you send me my money back immediately. Otherwise I will take active steps to make sure the Consumers Association hear about it.

I have a dream. When I grow up, I want to be an actor. Being an actor can

One day my mother asked me， "Son， do you think you have grown up?" I said，

"I have grown up， I am now a pupil， a glorious young pioneer! I am not so

naughty， nor arrogant." My mother smiled at me.

Now， I learned to do a lot of things. At night， I dared to sleep by myself.

I learned to organize my schoolbag. I learned to buy salt and soy sauce for my

mother. I learned to lead my grandmother across the street. I learned to help my

mother do some housework. One night， my mother came back from work to say that

she had a sore back， so I let her lie on the bed and beat her back. The mother

laughed again and said， "Son， you really grew up!"

The weather of these days is really bad. Its foggy and there is haze in

the air.So， we cant see the things very far.Every morning， when I pull back the

curtain， I only can see the building dozens miles away.When I go to school， I

must be very careful when I go across the street.Besides， the air is dirty

because of the haze. I even feel hard to breathe.My mother tells me to wear a

respirator. I do as she tells.Because of the bad weather， car accidents happen

more frequently. I hope drivers can drive more carefully and keep safe.

A boy lives near my house and I never know his name. Every day, he will

bring some food to the homeless dogs and cats. Sometimes when I am passing

through, I see what he does. He is so kind that I decide to make friends with

him. He is talkative and have a lot of funny things to share. What a lovely

boy.

I like reading books so much, especially the comic book. When I start

reading, I can’t focus my attention for a long time if the books are words

everywhere, then I find comic book is perfect for me. I can not only read very

quickly, but also won’t feel bored. It is a good way for me to gain

knowledge.

Everybody has a daily schedule. We do the same things almost every day. My

day is probaly like yours.

Heres my daily routine. I get up at 6:30 every morning. I take my time

waking up,but then I wash up quickly. I brush my teeth,comb my hair and put on

I either eat at home or eat on the way to school. But I always eat hurry. After

school,I go to a cram school like all my friends. I study and finish my homework

for the day. Finally,I go home and I take a break. I have dinner with my

In the east of China， there is a small city---Haimen. I was born there.

Today， I am telling you about my hometown. Haimen is not far from Shanghai. It’s

at the mouth of the Changjiang River. Haimen is a modern city. There are lots of

high buildings in it. Most of us live in flats. We like to live in flats because

we can be close to our friends. In the center of Haimen， there are many shops.

I am working on a new project which is called A Survey of New Industry in the Maywood District. According to the design of our district, we need information about firms that have recently moved into this area.
