从前，垃圾都被混合在一起，常常给人带来了不便，例如：一些可以再回收的垃圾，因为被其他垃圾混合在一起，变成不可回收垃圾，而且，垃圾桶有时太满，人们都把垃圾倒进小河、小溪里。小河里的水受到了污染后发出了阵阵恶臭，致使河里面的小鱼也活不成了。如果我们继续这样污染环境，那我们的环境就会变得很肮脏、不堪入目。

不过，很快就会有人带着一群人来治理了，他们添加了几个垃圾桶，还增加了几处倒垃圾的地方。他们还把河里的垃圾捞起来，把脏水排掉，放上干净的水。

经过了几个月的治理，小河焕然一新，鱼儿产下的鱼卵变成了小鱼，在河里自由自在地游来游去。

我们一定要爱护地球，爱护祖国。不能随意扔垃圾，一起做个讲卫生的好孩子。

保护环境，从我做起！我和好几个同学想了解杭州的环境保护情况，便开展了关于保护环境的调查活动。

那是一个艳阳高照的上午，我们来到了政苑公园，那里环境挺不错。公园旁边的小河波光粼粼。好几棵大树长得郁郁葱葱，遮住了不能直视的阳光。一眼看去草坪一片碧绿碧绿的，要近看仔细观察才能发现小草之间夹着一些零零星星的、害羞的小花。每个人都得到了一些调查报告纸，以便了解当地人对杭州环境的满意程度。在调查的过程中，我们发现那里的花很漂亮，还有些香气扑鼻，但没有一个人去采摘；不会有人去故意去很用力地踩小草；几乎没有人往小河里扔垃圾；也不会有人去很用力地摇大树，把树叶摇下来。同学们一看到有其他人，就会像风一样飞快地冲过去，纷纷递给他们调查报告纸和笔。活动结束了，我们发现大部分人都觉得杭州环境不错，但优美的曲子里总会有不和谐的音符，也有一两个人并不怎么满意我们杭城的环境。我们还觉得大家对世界地球都还不太了解。看来我们不仅要会保护地球的方法，还要了解关于保护地球的知识。

地球是大家的，需要我们共同保护。相信几年后杭州的会更湛蓝，水会更清澈，空气会更新鲜！让地球成为一副美好的蓝图！

今天我从小区里看到了这样一幕。

小区里的广场边有几个垃圾桶，垃圾桶旁边总会有一大堆的垃圾，还有许许多多的苍蝇在上面乱飞，散发着令人呕吐的气味，臭气熏天，不过每天都会有一位清洁工阿姨去清扫，她忍着恶心，一点一点的把垃圾清理干净，让空气变得清新。可是有一些人还是改不了乱丢垃圾的习惯，有些人把没喝完的酸奶直接扔到了正在清理垃圾的阿姨旁边，她依然辛勤的为大家清理垃圾。

是我感悟到：保护环境，是我们最基础的事，难道连“保护”两字也做不到吗？你想想，如果将垃圾扔到河里，可能会让河水污染，甚至会让鱼儿们死亡；如果将垃圾扔到空中，或许会污染空气，使天空雾蒙蒙的。

如果人人都意识到乱扔垃圾的害处，或许会给城市增添一份干净。这样，天会更蓝，空气更清新。

Cars and Air Pollution

Too many cars have created a lot of serious problems in our world. Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption, cars are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big cities. All the time, they are pumping huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere. These gases are very harmful, causing disease and even death.

One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. In Shanghai, some of the public buses begin to run on natural gas, which does not give off as much carbon dioxide as the petrol. But it may take decades for the new models of clean cars completely replace the traditional ones. Another solution is to develop modern public transportation systems and restrict the use of private cars. If the price of petrol rises constantly and the public vehicles are efficient and convenient enough, most people will not buy private cars. And the total number of cars in big cities will reduce greatly.

On the whole, the elimination of air pollution needs the collective efforts from the government, the public and the environmentalists.
