I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion. Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a "rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.

让我们想想，自从人类诞生以来，一切的衣食往行及生产、生活有哪一样离得开我们生存的环境，我们生活在地球上，然而地球并不是有我们生存，还有很多很多的动物植物，所有生物的生存，又有哪一样离得开地球上的大气、森林，海洋、河流、土襄、草原呢？地球就是由所有的生物组成了错综复杂而关系密切的自然生态系统，这就是人类赖以生存的基本环境。然而，保护环境，在人们眼中就是这样渺小，几乎没有人去重视。人类把文明的进程一直滞留在对自然的征服掠夺上，却从来不曾想到对哺育人类的地球给予保护和回报，我们人类在取得辉煌的文明成果的同时，对自然的掠夺却使得我们所生存的地球满目疮疤，人口的增长和生产活动的增多，也对环境造成冲击，给环境带来压力。

这些年来。我们国家受到了严重的环境污染，特大沙尘暴在我国一次又一次发生，它将会掩埋草地、吞毁家园，严重地影响了人民的生活，使我们难以生存。绿色的草地将会变成沙漠，大树将会永远卧倒在地，而我们也不会快乐生活，没有了幸福，没有了亲人，连我们赖以生存的地球也会在茫茫宇宙中粉碎，就像玻璃摔在地上一样。而我们，难道就只能袖手旁观吗，难道我们只能看着这美丽而脆弱的地球永远消失在人间吗？从此，我们能看到还风吹草地见牛羊，白云下面马儿跑的那种景象吗？现在的地球，几乎都是黄色，绿色大量减少，这是怎么了？原来这是因为人们大量的砍伐树木，这不仅让鸟儿没了家，还造成了崩塌，洪水等。没有了树，我们的地球就好像少了一根支撑的梁柱。以前小河清澈见底，能看见小鱼，现在工厂为了提高效率，竟把小河当成了排放污水的好地方，小河被污水弄得肮脏不堪，过路的行人都飞快的离开。渗入地下时污染地下水或江河湖泊；一旦进入土壤水源，将会通过食物链进入人体，损害人的神经系统、造血功能、肾脏和骨骼，这样长期下去，人类将不复存在，地球将在我们的手中毁灭。

同学们，我们离不开我们美丽的家乡，离不开秀丽的山川河流，离不开我们赖以生存的地球。让我们行动起来，从身边做起，从小事做起，从一草一木做起，保护我们的花草，保护我们的森林，保护我们的河流，只有这样，我们的家乡才会更加美丽，我们的祖国才会更加秀美，我们的地球才会更加坚强可

亲爱的人类朋友：

你们好!

我是一只在被在类弄混浊的小河里生活的小鱼。自从我出生以来，清澈见底的小河就是我快乐的的乐园。我和我的好朋友在小河里玩，有时还有小鸟来陪我玩。可是好景不长呀。一天，我和朋友在玩耍，我却一天撞在了一堆垃圾上。我的朋友都被臭死了，我赶快游回了家，这样我才躲过了一劫。

我在家门口，看着灰暗的天空，不由的想起了以前快活的日子，我越想越伤心，不由得哭了起来。

我的同伴们渐渐消失，我想：人类呀!人类，地球不是我们共同的家园吗?我们不是应该一起保护她吗?而不是去破坏她呀，对吗?

一天早晨，我起来看见天空格外的蓝，还有许多小朋友在拾河里的垃圾，小河又变得清澈见底了，我看到这一幕就开心地笑了，我以前欢快的日子又来到了，我又开心地玩了起来。

我真心希望我们的地球能永远美好!

“问渠那得清如许，为有源头活水来。”最美的乡村，最美的小溪，我们应保护水资源。保护环境，从保护水资源做起。

两年以前，小溪里的水黄黄的，臭臭的，小溪两旁堆积着好多好多的瓶瓶罐罐，垃圾成山，杂草丛生。远远走去，就有一股刺鼻的味道飘来，有种想吐的感觉。

前年，推土机开进了河床，瓶瓶罐罐没了，垃圾没了，杂草也没了……水变清了，小溪的两旁变绿了。听爸爸说，我们村来了河道清理工程队。

从此，我的家乡有了一条美丽的小溪。

春天，小溪哗啦啦地唱着歌，告诉人们：春天到了。

夏天，小溪欢快地跳跃着。清澈的水里，游着快活的小鱼。小鱼一会儿穿过小石堆，一会儿扎进翠绿的草丛里，像是在捉迷藏。

秋天，小溪变得丰盈了。大人们收获着丰收的喜悦，一个个像喝了蜜似的。

冬天，小溪静默着。清清的水互相拍打着、跳跃着，正在奏响着保护水资源的赞歌；绿绿的水互相抚摸着、簇拥着，正在享受着人们保护水资源的成果。
