虫虫

一天傍晚，我和妈妈去公园运动，我发现一些不太和谐的现象。

我们刚走进公园，一个小朋友在大榕树下吃零食，吃完了就随手把包装袋往地上一丢，包装袋就留在树根上，真不美观啊！我和妈妈继续往前走，来到一片小树林。正在锻炼的老人用手抓住树枝粗壮的树枝，做着各种不同的动作。我还注意到小树林里有些树的树干上都钉上了钉子，有的树还钉着好几根铁钉。有的挂着水壶，有的挂着衣服，原来这都是锻炼的人们为了贪图方便钉上去的。

Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University. After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

As a result of the publication in 2003 of my article in New Scientist entitled "Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ", which was based on a survey of 37 patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

Despite their help, I feel that I cannot make real progress in this field unless I can actually have day-to-day contact with these specialists. I would therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study in Britain for two years.

Many people are active in fighting against unfair treatment to colored people, women , animals and so on. Right now I am talking about fighting for respect to our environment. Though the environment doesn’t have a mouth to deprecate what humans have done to her, she retaliates through action. In the early years the Chinese cut down large quantities of trees, at the source of the yellow river, which led to the disappearance of big forests and terrible floods. 很多人都活跃在对抗不公平待遇有色人种、妇女、动物等。现在我谈论要争取尊重我们的环境。尽管环境没有嘴巴来反对人类对她所做的一切，她通过行动来报复。在早些年中国人在黄河的源头大量砍伐树木，导致了大森林的消失和可怕的洪水。结果，曾经一度覆盖草地和森林的黄土高原变成了植物稀少的荒漠。另一个例子是在一些发达国家。因为许多化学工厂没有过滤就排放有毒气体，城市充满了如此多的有毒气体，人们通过呼吸这些空气收到伤害。这是多么可怕的场景!

我们所痛苦的是只有一小部分的自然曾经收到破坏。如果我们不采取行动，尊重环境，我们将不得不面对一个日益糟糕的情形。

保护环境应采取我们依赖的措施。首先政府应该禁止污染植被、河流和湖泊、海洋和大气。第二，应该宣布公众保护环境的重要性。第三，企业应特别注意对环境的影响和解决方案的问题。

只有通过改变我们对待环境的方式，我们才可以相处得很好。只有拯救环境，我们才能拯救我们自己。

In the last several decades, our earth has been extremely polluted, such as

air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and so on. In recent years, the

extreme weather becomes more and more frequent. Winter gets colder and summer

becomes hotter and it rains more frequently. All of these warn us that

protecting the environment is a serious and emergent event. As our general

people, we should build proper lifestyle. We should pay attention to water and

light saving. When we go out, we should firstly choose the public

transportation. The most important is that we must realize that we can do a lot

of things to protect our environment. Its our duty to make our home better.

Let’s change from ourselves.
