人的发展与社会的发展是如此，人的和谐与社会的和谐也是如此。一个社会要和谐，一个国家，一个地区，一个人也要和谐。小和谐构成大和谐，大和谐促进小和谐，和谐是人与社会共同发展的目标，和谐才能更好地发展。和谐就是矛盾的统一，和谐就是平衡，和谐就是中庸之道，和谐就是科学发展观，和谐才具有亲和力，和谐才有活力，和谐才能可持续发展。全体社会成员共同努力，不断消除那些不和谐的因素，创造和谐的一切，那么和谐社会就会如期而至。

人的和谐，就是冷静与热情同在，就是刚柔相济，德威并存，就是身心俱健，活力四射。社会的和谐，就是全体社会成员共同进步，就是各地区、各区域共同发展，就是每一项事业可持续发展。让人和社会都和谐，让社会与人齐发展。

我们要有一种好的心态，社会是我们短期内无法改变的，所以我们只有持有一种好的心态去融入社会，更好的落实民主的生活，保持一个好的心态，一个好的人生价值观念，乐观的去面对重重事，你会发现生活是很简单的，从简单的生活过程中，你会发现生活是多么的甜蜜，好比生活中的一个简单的微笑，一个认可的眼神等等。

作为生活方式的民主是指一种约束主体行为的观念体系，它已经深入人心，成为人们的习惯性行为方式，贯穿于人们的日常生活中。严格地说，在工作日的八小时之内，人们的行为方式由所属的组织的规章规定，个人自由比较小。八小时之外的日常生活则可以充分展现一个人的价值观和精神风貌。民主的生活方式得以体现。

和谐则是人对自身与社会、自然的进一步认识，其实沟通也是和谐的一个组成部分。和谐是民族文化的一部分，儒家的“仁爱”、“仁义”，墨家的“兼爱”、“非攻”，道家的“鸡犬相闻，老死不相往来”，以及陶渊明的《桃花源记》等传统文化中，都蕴涵着和谐的思想。一个中学生要想真正体味和谐，就要先从体验社会和人生开始。
