The summer holiday is coming. Our class have had a discussion about what to do during the holiday. Some are in favor of staying at home. They think its both convenient and comfortable. On tuesday, i went visiting my uncles family with my parents. we went to celebrate our good time at a fancy restaurant in shanghai. later that day, we sang karaoke in my uncles house. we stayed for the night.

On wednesday, i went shopping with my cousins. we bought some brand name t-shirts and pants. in the afternoon, my cousins gave me a fun ride on the city highway. they also taught me how to drive their fancy car, so i tried to do some turning and parking. it was not easy first. but i learnt quick.

My mother has no idea that her ninetieth birthday is coming up. She has no notion of the time of day, the day of the week. the season of the year, the year of the century. As a chinese, I was really ashamed of having a little knowledge of dragon boat festival. So I have never see the dragon boat contest since I was born. So the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating Zong Zi. My mother made Zong Zi when I was a child. 一天晚上，我们刚吃完饭过不久，爸爸就叼着一支烟，在家里散播“迷魂烟雾弹”。妈妈见了很不高兴，生气的看着爸爸，爸爸却嬉皮笑脸地说：“就一支，一支!”可是，没过多久，他又抽起来了，而且一支接一支，变本加厉。屋子里到处弥漫着抢人的浓烟，熏得我和妈妈不停地咳嗽。我忍不住说：“爸爸，从今天开始，你再也不能抽烟了。如果再抽，我就对你实行”无产阶级专政“!”爸爸一听立即提出抗议，说：“我反对!”“那你知道抽烟的危害有多大吗?……”我就以理服人“那——好吧，我戒!”爸爸也意识到了错误，也接受了“命令”。

自从家规颁布以后，爸爸抽烟的毛病收敛多了，我们为爸爸感到骄傲。
