The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most popular traditional festivals

celebrated in China, which is on the fifth of the fifth lunar month, also known

as Duanwu Festival. It’s said that it is to commemorate the death of a Chinese

patriotic poet, Qu Yuan, who was snared by corrupt officials in ancient China

and finally committed suicide by drowning himself in the Miluo River to protest

against them.

The traditions and customs held on this festival differ from place to

place, but there are some common in them. First, the most famous and great

tradition is holding Dragon Boat races, which are held by fishermen’s attempt to

protect Qu Yuan’s body against attacking by fishes and other animals in the

river by beating drums and row the dragon shaped boat. Nowadays dragon boat

These customs and traditions have been changed a little in recent years,

but they still make contribution to the spread and inheritance of Chinese

culture.

Study has been part of our life. For some people, they believe that live

and learn is the right attitude to life. I agree with it. As we have so many

things to learn, it is important to learn with efficiency. There are many

suggestions in the following.

First, knowing yourself. It is of great importance to get to know your

The Spring Festival, Chinese New Year,is the most important festival for all of us. Early in senior high school, we longed to be enrolled in a university. Now

the dream has come true. But how do we college students like our campus

life?

Certainly, some relish it, finding it colorful and rewarding. Besides

study, they spend considerable amount of time improving themselves in various

aspect. Yet others do not think much of their college life, thus do not benefit

as much. In their eyes, the university is just a bigger high school. The only

There are four seasons in the year. They’re spring, summer, autumn and

winter.

Spring is warm and sunny. In spring days, everything in our nature is

green, so we can go out to release ourselves and breathe the fresh air. I think

its a good way to enjoy our beautiful nature.

Summer is hot and rainy, but summer is the best season for entertainment,

because we can go swimming in the sea and enjoy the beautiful sunshine on the

Autumn is very cool and comfortable, and it is also the best season for

harvest. In autumn days, the farmers are busy in their fields. If we had a

Winter is very cold and freezing. In winter, our world is covered with

What is healthy diet? To the most people, healthy diet means more green foods, no junk foods. The meals of healthy diet should be cooked with fewer salt and oil. And the junk food is those low nutrition, high calorie, processed food with much salt or oil, such as the fries, fried chickens, salted eggs and so on. These foods will cause one get weight and increase the risk of many diseases. We should keep a healthy diet, abandon the junk food to keep ourselves healthy.

winter. Summer is hot and winter is cold. Spring and autumn are comfortable.

Spring lasts from March to May. Summers goes from June to August. From September

to November is autumn. At last is winter, from December to February. Among the
