水是世界上最宝贵的一种资源，也是维持生命的理想液体。哺乳动物体内60%至65%是水，人类体重的2/3、大脑的99%、骨骼的44%也都是水。缺了水，人类和地球将不能存活，森林将不复存在，植物将灭亡，地球上将出现无边的沙漠，生命的迹象将消失。

目前全世界的淡水资源仅占其总水量的2.5%，其中70%以上被冻结在南极和北极的冰盖中，加上难以利用的高山冰川和永冻积雪，有87%的淡水资源难以利用。人类真正能够利用的淡水资源是江河湖泊和地下水中的一部分，约占地球总水量的0.26%。

鉴于全球淡水资源不仅短缺、许多国家将很快陷入缺水的困境，经济发展将受到限制，1993年1月18日，第47届联合国大会作出决议，确定每年的3月22日为“世界水日”。1988年《中华人民共和国水法》颁布后，水利部即确定每年的7月1日至7日为“中国水周”，考虑到“世界水日”与“中国水周”的主旨和内容基本相同，故从1994年开始，把“中国水周”的时间改为每年的3月22日至28日，时间重合，使宣传活动更加突出“世界水日”的主题。

With the improvement of our living standard， more and more people can afford a car。 As a result， our roads are more often than not crammed with cars。 However， with more and more waste gas being discharged by the cars， the problem of air pollution bees even more serious。 So nowadays we advocate to lead a low-carbon life。

My suggestion is we should ride bikes more often instead of driving cars。By riding a bike， we can not only exercise our body but also protect our environment。 Why not have a try， my dear friends?

水是一切生命的源泉，保护水资源就是保护我们自己的生命。地球上的水总体积约有13亿8600万千米立方，其中96.5%分布在海洋，淡水只有3500千米立方左右。若扣除无法取用的冰川和高山顶上的冰冠，以及分布在盐碱湖和内海的水量，陆地上淡水湖和河流的水量不到地球总水量的 1% 。 还有我们人为的污染使水资源更加紧缺，如果没有水，将没有生命的存在。

现在水危机已威胁着人类!联合国已将水危机列为未来十年人类面临的最严重的挑战之一。中国目前年刚水量为4500亿立方米，农业用水4000亿立方米，城市与工业用水500亿立方米。农业年缺水量约300亿立方米，城市与工业年缺水量达58亿立方米。我国人均用水量为2200立方米，是世界人均用水量的30%左右。现在就世界而言，工业的高度发展，不仅对淡水的使用量越来越大，排放的大量污水污染了江河湖泊以及大海。另外，人饮用受污染的水或吃了中毒的鱼后，至使人体患病而死亡。人为的污染和不善于节约用水使我们面临着严重的危机，我们应该竭尽全力去节约和保护水资源。

1.要从自己做起，惜水、爱水、节水。还要从家庭做起，让家人了解到破坏水资源的危险，让他们也不破坏水资源。还要让别人跟你一样保护水资源。

2.在家中用水要勤俭节约。洗完菜的水不要倒掉，还可以用来浇水、浇花等。还要让家长在工作单位上也节约用水。不要以为公家的水就可以浪费了。这是不正确节约水的表现。也是不负责任的表现。

3.如果见到有人故意破坏水源，应勇敢的向他劝说，并说明破坏水源会给我们带来极大的危险。而且让他以后要保护水资源。遇到劝阻不听的，并且情节严重的，要直接报告有关部门，用法律来惩罚他们。

4.在学校里，同学们在冲拖把的时候，浪费水极多。应该在冲拖把的地方设立两个水池，一个是冲脏物，一个是清洁的。同学们在拖完地时，上面有许多脏物，先到冲脏物的水池里把脏物冲掉。再到清洁的地方冲干净。这样就节约了不少水既节约了水，又把拖把冲干净了。

同学们，让我们为保护水资源，保护大自然做出一份努力吧!让我们从现在开始，就养成惜水、爱水、节水、保护水的意识和习惯，不仅为了人类，也为了我们每一个人的生命!不要让最后一滴水成为我们的眼泪。
