People have questioned what caused this problem and what can be done to improve the situation. In my opinion, two of the most critical causes of this waste material problem are the increased consumption and a shortage of space for landfill.

To begin with, modern lifestyle has contributed greatly to the increasing amount of waste and garbage we produce everyday. In other words, we have turned into a materialistic and mass-consumption society where we use more and throw away more than ever before. Moreover, countries are running out of space to store garbage and waste material. In fact, securing land for waste disposal raises controversies in many countries.

To solve this intractable problem, every citizen needs to participate in producing less garbage. For example, we can bring our own personal shopping bags instead of using plastic bags provided by stores and shops. Indeed, this alone can eliminate much of the waste which is sent to at land fills. Companies can also contribute by developing new raw material which is recyclable and will ultimately lead to less garbage. 这几天，全国各大新闻媒体都在关注一个地方——云南砚山县。因为那里350公里沿途已经半年没有下过一场透雨。我从电视画面上看到，那里的农田已经干枯龟裂，树木大面积枯死，连人们正常的饮用水也快“弹尽粮绝”了。一场百年不遇的大旱情，正在威胁着那里所有的生命。井水干了，池塘里的水也见底了，试想现在那里一个人每天只能用4两水，那是一个怎样的情形？没有到那里去体验一下，你真的也许无法想象。大家都知道水是构成人体的重要成分，约占成人体重的60-70%。血液中含水量达90%以上，因此大量丢失水分，会导致死亡。

我们焦急，我们担忧，灾情看似一夜间到来，但追根朔源，我们应该清醒地认识到那是人类自身多少错误行为和疏忽所种下的“恶果”啊！

五水共治是治污水、防洪水、排涝水、保供水、抓节水这五项。是平安浙江建设的题中的意思，也是一举多得的举措，既优化环境还惠民生。浙江“缺少水”主要是污染造成的质性缺水。“江南水乡没水喝”，就是因为太依赖资源环境消耗的粗放增长模式。

西溪国家公园湿地公园环境清幽、水道纵横，我们在这里宣传“五水共治、保护生态环境、你我共行”。

活动开始了，老师安排三人一小组，“认养”一块绿地，做“荒岛求生”的游戏，我们在绿地上发现了一处小山洞，我们爬进去，里面虽然有点黑，但可以清楚地看到洞壁上有许许多多的小生物、错综复杂的树根，小生物们可以在里面挖一处自己的窝遮风挡雨。树根上的一些小昆虫，还在悠闲地爬着，在如此生态的环境下快快乐乐的生活着，小生物、昆虫、树木、清澈地溪水，这是一个多么和谐的世界！

我们不能乱扔垃圾，比如塑料制品是不可被分解的，它会在土壤里很多年很多年，就会影响到小生物等的生存，它们就没地方去了，多可怜呀！我们要关注有些企业偷排污水，不能让清澈地溪水变得黑黑的臭臭的！
