Every honest citizen should have such a historical vision and sense of urgency: to build our country into an ideal modern power, we must do the development of economic and environmental protection simultaneously, to achieve economic development and social benefits of unity.

人们喜欢把现代化比作宏伟的大厦，那么这座凝聚着高度精神文明和物质文明的大厦应矗立在怎样的环境之中呢?如果天空烟雾弥漫，大地草木枯败等等，这是人们心中的现代化社会吗?不，不是，这是历史的讽刺，这是人类的悲剧。

人生活在地球上，要生存，要发展，首先就得靠地球，靠有山有水，有森林有草原的大自然。可是有人误以为大自然是取之不尽，用之不竭的宝库，于是毁林而种，竭泽而渔，连连受到自然的惩罚而不自知。年复一年，森林变成了荒丘，绿洲沦为沙漠，致使世界上每年有2000公顷农田被沙漠吞噬。这样下去经过若干年，地球上的绿地将全部被沙漠侵占，我们的子孙将无法生存!前些年，农村包产到户后，哄砍山林成风，我国务川县一个乡的近2000亩杉木林，在一周之内被砍为平地。听到这个消息，我头疼，我愤怒，这样做的农民太愚昧，太自私。还有很多正在干着类似务川的贻害子孙的事情：任滚滚浓烟弥漫天空，让高分贝的噪音刺激人的神经。

对此，我们应该深思。现代化社会使我们生活得更美好，现代科学也已充分揭示了环境保护的重要性。每个正直的公民，都应具备这样的历史眼光和忧患意识：要把我国建成一个理想的现代化强国，必须做到发展经济与保护环境同步，实现经济发展效益与社会效益的统一。

事实也是这样，几年前，大连污染严重，经过一系列的保护措施后，不仅使市容面目美观了，还带来了良好的经济效益，外商投资，中外合作等等，因此让大连成为现代化的大都市。

让我们伸出自己的双手，来保护自己的家乡，来建设自己的家乡吧。

今天在报纸上看到一条新闻：湖南大米里镉超标。从文章中我了解到是因为土地和水源遭到污染，所以大米中也有了镉，而镉会对人的肾脏、骨骼造成危害。真是可怕的消息！

晚饭时，我看着碗里的米饭问妈妈：“我们家的米里有没有镉？”妈妈笑着解释：“并不是所有的大米里都有镉的，这是老家的大米。”我点点头又看看桌上的排骨：“猪肉能吃吗？”爸爸解释：“上海江面的死猪只是偶然的事件，并不是说猪肉都不能吃了。”

我嘟啷着说：“一会说猪肉不能吃、一会儿说牛奶不能喝，现在又说米饭不能吃，怎么回事啊？”看着我垂头丧气的样子，妈妈摸摸我的头：“以前人们没意识到保护环境的问题，所以造成了很多不好的后果，现在有了报道了，大家认识到这种情况就会注意了，以后这样的情况肯定会得到控制，就像以前人们会乱丢垃圾，现在我们都会将垃圾分类丢弃了，我们生活的环境肯定会越来越干净的，是不是？”我点点头。

我相信妈妈说的话：只要我们每个人都做出自己的努力，周围的环境一定会越来越好,我们的家园会变得美好，中国也会越来越美丽！

我热爱地球，热爱我们赖以生存的家园。爱她的青山绿水，爱她的碧草蓝天。

可是有些人不珍惜地球给予我们的一切，破坏大自然，乱砍乱伐，大量捕杀野生动物。这些破坏环境的做法，给我们的大自然带来越来越多的灾难。漫漫黄沙代替了绿色的林海；波涛汹涌的江河变成了干涸的河床；美丽的景区变成了荒野；地震海啸不断发生；还有大气污染、臭氧层被破坏等现象，都是人们不保护环境所带来的恶果

我们是21世纪的主人，应当树立起时代的责任感，从我做起，从小事做起，从现在做起。一片纸，我们捡起；一滴水，我们节约；一度电，我们节省；一堆垃圾，我们打扫；一朵花，我们珍惜；一棵树，我们爱护。

倡导绿色低碳生活，用自己的石级行动保护环境。不要让茂密的森林，辽阔的草原，无边无际的海洋变成回忆。

敬爱的老师、亲爱的同学们：

大家好！今天我演讲的题目是《保护环境》。

绿树成阴，春风抚面，清新的空气，清澈的河水，想必大家都喜欢住在这种城市中，不错，湘乡曾经就是这样的。

但是现在，随着我们生活所需，还有环境变化，更重要的是我们环保意识变弱。现在湘乡城随处可见垃圾，道路上，院子里，草丛里，还有涟水河，这是为什么呢？因为大家现在更依赖于机器了，越来越懒惰了，看见附近没垃圾桶就随手扔了；还有，人们为了赚钱，滥用化学品，排污水。我们这片土地已经是面目全非了。

所以，我呼吁：大家一定要携起手来，告诉身边的人捡起一份垃圾，丢进垃圾桶，这并不丢脸，而是荣誉，湘乡是我们大家的，如果我们每人都献出一份力，湘乡就有可能变成原来的样子。我再告诉人：保护环境，人人有责。

地球，是我们人类唯一就居住的星球。它无私地为人类提供各种资源，为人类生存作出了巨大的贡献。然而，地球却只是一个微小、美丽而脆弱的星球，我们大家都应该同心协力地保护它，维护地球的生态环境，让地球永远美丽、壮观。

尽管如此，生活在地球上的每一个人是否都在维护着地球的生态环境呢?不是的。就说我们东莞吧，许多外来员工十分不懂得保护环境。在街道、广场等地方乱扔垃圾。再加上工厂排出的废气和汽车的尾气，污染了城市。不仅使空气变得混浊，还对人类生存作出了威胁，有害我们得健康。

还有，如今世界上的许多不可再生资源正在面临着危机。如石油，在1973年10月，阿拉伯国家利用第四次阿以战争爆发的机会，在西方工业化国家已高度依赖石油进口维持其经济发展的情况下，突然大大减少石油产量。世界石油市场每天短缺500万桶以上，因而引发了世界第一次“石油危机”。像石油这样的不可再生资源，“危机”只是一个警告，枯竭才是它的归宿。它既可以把人类的物质文明高高托起，也可以在一夜间使之荡然无存。按目前的生产速度，世界石油储量将只能维持45年。

大家听了以上的资源情况，是否正在为此而焦急呢?对了，就让我们一起行动起来，保护资源，保护环境吧!现在不仅石油资源短缺，世界上还有许多自然资源正在面临着危机。从今天起，就让我们当起保护资源、环境的小卫士。首先，我们必须从身边的小事做起。一是节约水资源。如今，我国的水资源短缺是十分严重的，平时，我们应该节约用水量。开水龙头不能开得太大，开大了就会溅得四周都是水，很浪费。二是节约用电。我国发电量虽居世界第二位。但由于我国人口众多，每个人的电占有量很少，远远少于世界上的发达国家。特别是广大农村，用电更加困难。因此，在家中，或学校，我们都应该懂得节约用电。三是保护绿化。绿化对美化城市环境起到很大的作用。我们必须爱护花草，不要踩踏草坪，这样，我们的城市环境就会变得更美更宜人。四是不随地乱扔垃圾。乱扔垃圾是不保护环境的典型行为。我们人类不能随地乱扔垃圾，破坏环境。

美好的环境，丰富的地球资源，不仅需要大家共同的保护和建设，还需要我们从小养成良好的生活习惯——节约用水、节约用电、保护绿化、不乱扔垃圾等。记住：保护环境，保护资源，从我做起。
