We are required to be accomplished in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. As a result I had to spend most of time in improving my abilities. Besides of the regular courses, I often attended the lecture and went to the library to eich my knowledge, and I do benefit from what I learnt.

As to the after school life, what I consider most meaningful is joining the YVP to serve society. I think it is the responsibility for every university student to make contribution to the community. Little as my effort is, I tried my best to help the people around us. Once the YVP organized us to sell secondhand books and raise the money to help the people indeed.

In addition, I quite enjoy the travels and the bees. Travels let me experience the sunshine, fresh air as well as the special taste of the local customs and practices. While the bees keep the friendship shining, and friends are as if family members. Both of them lit up my life.

All in all, the college life is a journey, and I have long way to go; all the memory is the most precious treasure, and I will value every moment.

in the past, people could not often have meat, rice or other delicioufood. thecould onleat these during the spring festival. so everyear thehoped that the spring festival would come soon. now, although peoplelife imuch better, and we can eat the delicioufoodeveryday. people still like the festival. because most people can have a long holiday, and we are free to go on a trip or visit our friendor have partiewith our family. in the evenings, we can have a big meal in the restaurant or staat home with familand watch the tv programmes.

There are a lot of valid, rich and colorful legends about the origin of the Lunar New Year. They can be traced to thousands of years ago, among which the most famous one is the legend of Monster Nian. Monster Nian was a cruel wild animal. Ancient people believed that Monster Nian would come out to eat people on New Year’s Eve. It was said that Monster Nian was afraid of red, fire and noise. In order to repel it, people would put the red notes on doors and keep the torch alight all night as well as set off firecrackers. Early next morning, people greeted each other. The air was filled with the victory and the rebirth joy.

The Spring Festival,also known as the Lunar New Year, is the greatest traditional festival. It is usually a time between late January or early February, which means rest and relaxation between winter and spring after a years toil,and means celebration as well. Before the Spring Festival, people clean their houses, put red couplets on their gates,and set off firecrackers, according to fairy tale, for driving a demon ,named Nian ,away. On the eve of the Spring Festival, a gettogether banquet is a must, and the most popular food is Jiaozi, which is supposed to bring good fortune.On the first day of the new year, everybody wears new clothes and greets relatives and friends with bows and congratulations wishingeach other the best during the new year.

this summer vacation in the past month,this month i and my parents went to Vancouver to visit my friends.

Arrived in Vancouver on the first day,is already in the afternoon, so good friends mother decided to let our two people together to do a dinner .His mother cook the pizza. Hanburger, my mother and i do . In addition, the father is responsible for to buy drinks.

My brother and sister are in charge of eating.

After dinner, i and my friends and his younger brother ang sister to the courtyard behind the big swimming pool, especially fun.
