A new year ，a new start，when I stand on the edge of  a new year，I cant help thinking about my plan of next year.

Just as the old saying：“Well began is the half of the success.”So I decide that I should be at work while the others are still relaxing ，and then ，at the beginning ，Im quicker than the others and of course I will get better result than the others.

But ，what I really decide to do is that I must make good of anytime I can spare though it seems impossible. While，I will do my best to live up with what I have planned，and the result will prove it.

There are many customs in our hometown of ezhou: the Dragon Boat Festival is the leaves, the Mid-Autumn festival is eating moon cakes, qingming festival worship... Today I will tell you about the Spring Festival of ezhou!

"Spring Festival, Spring Festival to, the streets and alleys are really lively", I believe that you are not strangers to the Spring Festival. The Spring Festival is a traditional Chinese festival. When it comes to the beginning of the month of the twelfth lunar month, every family begins to get busy: salted fish, cured meat, and sausages. The grown-ups have to prepare presents for the children. Everyone was jubilant and filled with sweetness and warmth.

我们家乡鄂州的风俗很多：端午节系艾叶，中秋赏月吃月饼，清明节祭祖……，今天我就给大家讲讲鄂州的春节吧!

“春节到，春节到，大街小巷真热闹”，相信大家对春节一点都不会陌生吧。春节是中国的传统节日，到了腊月初旬，家家户户就开始忙碌了：腌咸鱼，晒腊肉，做腊肠……大人们还要给小孩子们准备礼物。每个人都喜气洋洋，心中泛着甜，窝着暖。

腊月二十四鄂州过小年，天一黑下来，鞭炮就响起了。许多人都开始穿新衣，家家户户也开始准备各种精美的菜肴。

除夕到了，各处都洋溢着过年的气氛。门外都贴上了红红的对联，有的家门外还贴年画。夜里，家家户户灯火通明，鞭炮声一夜不绝。屋里热气腾腾，大家开开心心吃着年夜饭，碰着杯，笑声连绵不断。吃完饭，一家人围在炉火旁，观看春节联欢晚会。这一夜，几乎所有人都会守岁。

“ 红红火火过春节”，这可一点都不夸张。看!红色的春联，红色的鞭炮，红色的红包。红色寓示着吉祥!

大年初一早，许多人都因除夕晚守岁在家睡觉，下午才会拜年。小孩子最喜欢到处拜年，因为“拜年”——“收钱”。

正月十五，元宵节到了。一些大型超市举办猜灯谜活动。几乎每次的灯谜活动，我和表姐都会参加，而且每次都会猜对几个，得到一些小礼品呢!晚上，许多店铺都会挂上灯笼，但几乎都是“电子灯笼”的世界。这一天，家家户户都要包汤圆，吃元宵。当然，这一天爱放鞭炮的孩子们也得抓紧，因为过了这一天，春节就结束了，也就不能玩爆竹了。

“ 爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏。”春节带给了我们欢乐和幸福!虽春节已过，但它的余味还在空气中弥漫!

In china,people regard Spring Festival as the most important thing.People studied and worked throughout the year.No matter how far and how busy, they must do their best to go back home.Thats a tradition and now becoming a habit. During this time,transport is extremely busy.Although the way is difficult,it cant reduce the urgent feeling of going home.I cant describe this feeling,only the people that experienced it can understand.Actually,on one hand,people miss their family,and they need to get comfort in the family.On the other hand,getting together is a symbol of blessedness and auspiciousness.People in other country dont have this consciousness that going home is necessary.For example,American could celebrate the Christmas in everywhere they like or with anybody.This diversity is occasioned by different culture between two countries.

On Spring festivals eve,the whole family prepare the dinner.Of course,dumplings is essential.In the

evening,family members always sit at the television and watch Spring Festival Gala.At 0:00,people set off firecrackers and fireworks,at the same time,children pay New Year,s call to old people.The old people give money to the children as a lunar new year gift.Usually,people stay up late or all night.

On lunar New Years Day, the Chinese family eat vegetarian dumplings which imply they will plain and neat in this year. People change their new clothes,this stands for a new beginning.Next,people visit relatives with some gifts.The second day is son-in-laws festival,the husband and married women visit their side of the family.In a word,Chinese attach great importance to Spring Festival.

Spring festival is on the first day of the first lunar month. Chinese people most like the Spring Festival. During Spring Festival， Chinese people like having meals with their families， playing fireworks in the open air. My sisters and I played fireworks on that day. We had many fireworks. They were very beautiful. They were running into the sky and breaking into pieces. They looked like flowers in the sky. We were very happy and excited. After that， I made a wish.
