兰州这几年变化特大，变化的让人难以置信。曾经听姐姐说，有一个南方的同学给她写信，其中有一句是这样的：你好，兰州现在还是沙漠吗?还是个贫瘠荒凉，四处光秃秃的不毛之地吗?我看见了便想起了以前的滨河路。

以前的滨河路，并没有北滨河路，那里只是光秃秃的黄土地，中间只有一条马路，旁边什么都没有，后来人们为了开辟黄河市场，以西的北滨河路，经过不断延长，不断的修整，成为了现在的北滨河路。而以前的滨河路，臭气熏天，垃圾满地都是，旁边只有土苍苍的老树，整个树枝也长不出几片绿色，都快变成不毛之地了，仰望天空，就连蓝天的一点蓝都看不出来，严重破坏了环境。

而现在的滨河路，以前的臭气没有了，垃圾也没有了，更看不见有人乱扔垃圾，人们种植花草树木，把以前都快变成不毛之地的滨河路装扮的可爱，漂亮了。站在街心花园仰望蓝天，天是那么的大，满天白云都好像镶在蓝天上，夕阳西下后，滨河路上夜灯都一闪一闪的。像是小朋友在不停的眨眼，还有黄河大桥旁的巨大音乐喷泉，华灯初放。看着滨河路上车水马龙，人头攒动，你会沉浸在这现代的都市夜晚浮想联翩，而且滨河路有着风情线的美称。

兰州的变化，真是惊人，我怎么能不深爱我居住的地方呢?

地球是我们的家园，我们是地球的小主人。谁不想让我们的家园变的更美好，更漂亮？而在这个时候，那些卖水果、小吃、蔬菜的叔叔阿姨们，在各个地方摆摊而等到晚上就收摊走人，可他们却没有看到在他们周围到处都是他们丢弃的垃圾，等到再过几天，那些垃圾在地上发臭，苍蝇、蚊子都飞来飞去，让过路的行人都得捂着鼻子，快步走过去。你们有没有想过，就是你们这样乱丢垃圾，让我们美丽的家园肮脏了。所以，我希望居委会的叔叔阿姨们，让那些摆小摊的小贩在走时带走自己的垃圾，让他们学会爱护好我们美好的家园。

自从全运会以后，这些现象都不见了。如：节水保泉，使泉水干净了。取缔地摊，使苍蝇减少了。扩大绿化，使空气新鲜了。还有拆迁的，把空下的位置建造成更美的家，等等。因为这些，让天变蓝了，让水变轻了，让空气清新了，让地球更美了……

住在地球上的每一个公民，让我们共同努力，以使我们的地球更美丽、可爱，使我们生活的环境更美好吧！

“人人那个都说哎，沂蒙山好。”听，你们都知道这首歌吧，这就是描写我的家乡——临沂!

过去的时候，这里山清水秀，小山包像碧绿的大绒球，山上草木郁郁葱葱，尤其是果树，有山楂树、有樱桃树、还有栗子树。每一座山上都有一片不大的橡树林，野生灵芝就生长在那里。山间的流水像一条银河，落到了人间，游人们有的在泉边喝茶、有的泡脚、还有的戏水游玩。天空湛蓝深远，像一个巨大无比的蓝宝石。牛羊成群，它们在山间走来走去，给这里增添了许多生机。

但是，村民们抱着一种侥幸心理：这里群山环绕，开采几座没什么大不了。村民们就在村里建造了一个小型水泥、石灰工厂，他们立刻行动把大块岩石粉碎成大量小石子，天空布满了灰尘，再也看不见太阳公公那灿烂的笑脸了，水质严重污染，变成了一条臭水沟，路过那里的人捂着鼻子真想一步就迈过去，小鱼一条一条从河里浮出水面。由于水源被过度污染，成群的牛羊很少去河边吃草，也很少看见河边有茂盛的树木了。

我真想对人们呼喊：“还给我一个温暖的、环境优美的家!”

Today there is more and more pollution and the environment is becoming worse and worse. So we have to know how to protect the environment. Here are some ways.

First, we can stop driving our personal cars. We can go to school or work on foot or by bus. Not only can it protect environment, but also it is good for our health.

Economic development and environmental protection are a pressing issue primarily for developing countries where, in trying to catch up with developed countries, they have to consume natural resources on an unprecedented scale. This has seriously polluted our environment and, with the global environmental campaign gaining momentum, many people in China call for the precedence of environmental protection over economic development.

Any attempt to pose economic development and environmental protection as diametrically contradictory is simple-minded. Since no country is willing to stop its economic development, the best way is to strike a balance between the two and to heighten the environmental awareness of those solely concerned with economic development.

European countries both economically developed and environmentally friendly can serve as perfect examples for China. Their success story in both undertakings illustrates that environmental protection does not mean a complete standstill of economic activities or exploitation of natural resources, but rather an active development and application of effective technologies to minimize environmental consequences. In Germany, environmental protection has become part of economic development as it boasts the world s most successful environmental industry. With a developed economy, we are well equipped to develop sophisticated technologies that can effectively safeguard our environment.
