我是太阳妈妈的孩子，我的名字叫地球。我以前生活的很快乐：早上一醒来，小雨就“哗啦啦”地给我洗澡;人们在我身上种了很多花草树木，把我打扮得漂漂亮亮的，然后，干干净净的我就围着太阳妈妈转来转去，让太阳妈妈看看我的新裙子。下午，孩子们放学了，就和我一起写作业，一起和我玩。晚上，人们也把我打扮的很漂亮，他们给我身上安上路灯，把我打扮的金灿灿的……太阳妈妈说：“人类还真好，不仅把你打扮的很漂亮，还和你一起玩，你真是太有福气，太幸运了!”

可是现在，人类也不像太阳妈妈说的那么好了。他们在我身上乱扔垃圾，把我搞得浑身脏兮兮的，人类的“车”还爱排放尾气，雨下下来的全是脏水，把我越洗越脏;人们还爱乱砍伐树木花草，破坏路灯，把他们给我的衣服也搞得的烂烂的，脏脏的……太阳妈妈劝我说：“你还是摆脱那些人类吧!”可是好心的我又不忍心丢下他们。因为这件事让我每天吃不好饭，睡不好觉，所以，我就生病了，经常发洪水、地震……还有人说2012年可能是我的末日。人们在这些灾难中，意识到了这都是他们破坏我而造成的，于是他们又开始关心我，爱护我了!我相信以后的日子里，我一定会变得更加美丽、漂亮的!

光阴似箭，日月如梭，转眼间几年过去了。我的家乡—河南发生了翻天地覆的变化。

几年前，孩子们玩耍的小土坡和稻草堆不见了，替代他们的是充满欢声笑语的游乐园。一下雨就会变得泥泞难走的土路也被宽广的柏油路代替了，一条条大路通向每个村庄。街道上也不是冷冷清清的了，而是车水马龙，高楼大厦一个接一个。以前一片片低矮的茅房不见了，你会发现矗立在你眼前的是一座座崭新的小洋楼，家家户户都摆着电风扇，彩色电视机，洗衣机……现在家家户户驾驶着私家车，可神气了！

家乡最令我惊叹的是厕所，以前厕所不能叫厕所，而是叫茅坑。那时候上个厕所都得小心翼翼地不让自己瞄偏了，还有一些没有公德心的人，卫生纸随便扔，上个厕所也不瞄准，搞得整个厕所臭气熏天，苍蝇嗡嗡乱叫。要是你看见那副场景，肯定就是尿裤子也不愿意上厕所。上完厕所你肯定要洗手吧，但是老家的厕所根本没有水龙头，用的都是从河边挑回来的水，而且用不了多久就臭了。而现在呢？白色的马桶只要一按按钮就把脏东西全冲走了。洗手只要一扭开关清澈的水就流出来了，墙上还贴了标语：上完厕所请冲水！整个厕所比以前干净多了。

这一切都是因为改革开放。改革开放给我们带来了很多好处，让我们认识到学习科学知识的重要性。
