Too many cars have created a lot of serious problems in our world. Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption, cars are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big cities. All the time, they are pumping huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere. These gases are very harmful, causing disease and even death.

One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. In Shanghai, some of the public buses begin to run on natural gas, which does not give off as much carbon dioxide as the petrol. But it may take decades for the new models of clean cars completely replace the traditional ones. Another solution is to develop modern public transportation systems and restrict the use of private cars. 过去，大家都爱护森林、树木，山就非常绿。走进山谷，简直是古木苍天，绿树成阴;挺凉快的。在公园里，没有人踏进草坪，更没有人乱丢垃圾。而现在，很多人无视法律，偷伐树木。使得山谷、森林中不在是绿树成阴，反倒是热的足以让人出汗的天气——烈日炎炎。公园里也好不了多少。进入公园，便会看见有许多人跨过护拦坐在草坪上或在草坪上走来走去，地上随处可见垃圾，更没有任何人把垃圾送回它们的家——垃圾桶。

在过去，水很清很清，清的能看底。这些水不被任何化工厂污染，就连水底的小鱼小虾也看的一清二楚，一点也不脏。现在因为化工厂越来越多，并都把污水河里，是、使河水不再清澈见底，气味臭不可闻。因此使得鱼类大批死亡。
