虽然全国各地各各机构都在呼吁人们保护环境，爱护家园，可是又有多少人真正付出行动了呢？滥砍滥伐树木的大有人在，私家车的数量与日俱增，那些随手扔垃圾、随地吐痰的也大有人在。现在各国政府又号召人民们值树造林。并把每年的3月12日定为值树节。植树是一些国家为激发人们爱林、造林的热情，促进国土绿化，保护人类赖以生存的生态环境，通过立法而确定的节日。近代最早设立植树节是美国的阿拉斯加州。该州把4月10日定为植树节，并于1932年发动世界上已有五十多个国家设立了植树节。由各国国情和地理位置不同，植树节在各国的称呼和时间也不同。

在植树造林这件事上，我们就要学习马永顺，马永顺是新中国第一伐木工人。在国家急需木材年代，他是伐木的模范；在国家需要保护生态环境时，他又是植树造林的英雄。马永顺坚持义务植树40年，栽树五万多棵。可是如今人们早已砍伐了不只五万多棵树，人们不但没有意识到错误，反而变本加厉地砍伐。

如今开私家车的人越来越多了，早晨新鲜的空气被汽车排气管所排出的有害物质污染，随着汽车数目的增长，树木也深受其害，渐渐地都枯萎了。还有那些工厂所排出的黑烟，原本湛蓝澄澈的天空，变得灰蒙蒙，那一朵朵洁白无瑕的白云，也因为黑烟而跑远了，那一只只可爱的小鸟，也因为害怕“毒气”而飞走了。

人们啊！为何还不醒悟，如果再这样下去，这个地球，这个蔚蓝的星球，终有一天会毁在人类的手里的，如果我们多植树造林，少开私家车，就已经为世界，为我们的家园，出了一份力了。既然可以让自己的家园变得更加美丽，又何乐而不为呢？

“亡羊补牢未为晚矣”。我们更为所有的人们敲响的警钟，我们大声疾呼，我们只有一个地球呀！我们一定要保护我们的家园，从现在起，我们应该刻不容缓地行动起来，治理污染，绿化环境，不让悲剧重演。争做“文明小卫士”。

我的家乡在绍兴，那里风景优美，名胜古迹众多，是有名的江南水城。

可是，人们的种种不文明现象让有些地方变得臭气熏天，就说说我家门前的小河吧。听奶奶说，以前的小河很干净，河水清澈见底，鱼儿在河里游来游去。可是后来小河边开了好多饭店，饭店里的废水都排放到小河里，附近的居民也把生活垃圾倒入河中，使小河又脏又臭。

不过，现在人们已经意识到了自己的错误，河旁种满了柳树、桃树，每天都有专门的人打捞河里的垃圾，饭店的废水也接入专门的管道，大家互相监督劝导不文明行为。现在小河慢慢地恢复了原来的面貌，游客越来越多，看着一条条乌篷船穿梭在小河间，真是美不胜收。

虽然小河还没有达到清澈见底，但我相信在大家的努力下会变得更加美好。

白色污染White Pollution

With the remarkable improvement of people’s living standard, people tend to buy more goods. As a result, a plenty of plastic bags are threw around and caused white pollution. Not only does it do harm to the environment, but also give people the impression that the city is dirty. As we all known, plastic bags are non-biodegradable material and it will stay in the soil for a long time. What’s worse, the poison released from the plastic bags is harmful.

随着人民生活水平的显著提高，人们购买的商品越来越多。所以，到处都是塑料袋，造成白色污染。塑料袋不仅污染环境，也给人城市很脏的印象。众所周知，塑料袋是不可生物降解的材料，会长期留在土壤里面。更糟糕的是，从塑料袋中释放的有毒物质是有害的。

Being current generation of young people, we should take measures to control the use of plastic bags .We can substitute them with cloth bags or reuse them. And the government can make rules to avoid using them. If we do our best, the use of plastic bags can be reduced, thus the white pollution can be controlled.

作为当代年轻的一代，我们应该采取措施来控制塑料袋的使用。我们可以用布袋来替代塑料袋或者重复使用。政府也可以制定规定来避免使用塑料袋。如果我们努力做好，塑料袋的使用就可以减少了，从而白色污染也会得到控制。

World Environment Day is started from 1972, which is established by the United Nations General Assembly for raising global awareness to take actions to protect the Nature. World Environment Day can be celebrated in lots of ways, for instances, planting trees, doing some recycling, participating the clean-up campaigns and so on. Certainly people can also do something simple, like going to work by bus instead of private cars. I believe if everyone takes environmental actions as a habit, we are doing a big difference for the better environment.庆祝世界环境日的方式多种多样，例如植树，对废物进行循环利用，参加清洁行动等等。
