我的家乡——九台，近几年来发生了翻天覆地的变化。

I first came to the park, I saw there was rubbish everywhere. I have an aunt, she sat on the bench, eating melon seeds, the seeds were strewn across the floor. I saw aunt is very angry, to dissuade. She has a pair of NIMBY, superior. I saw street cleaners cleaning the health, but the surrounding people throw garbage much faster than they clean the much faster.

我又来到了公园东侧的小河边，看见水面上漂浮着塑料袋、饼干包装袋……甚至还飘着几条小鱼的尸体，散发着一股股令人作呕的气味。

I went to the park on the eastern side of the river, saw floating on the water with plastic bags, packaging bags of biscuits...... Even with a few small fishs body, exudes the smell shares turn ones stomach.

我来到了菜市场，看见地上尽是烂菜叶、烂水果，还有还有家禽的羽毛及内脏，这么脏的地面让我的脚都不敢踩下去了。哎呀!糟了!我踩在香蕉皮上摔跤了，裤子都被弄湿了!我赶紧爬起来，慌忙逃离。

I went to the vegetable market, saw the ground was full of rotten vegetables, rotten fruit, as well as poultry feathers and visceral, the dirty ground make my feet have not stepped on. Oh! Bad! I stepped on the wrestling on a banana skin, pants are wet! I quickly got up, hurried away.

周围的环境简直糟透了，若再不注意保护，我们人类定将无法生存。让我们一起行动起来吧，保护环境，从“我”做起。

The surrounding environment is bad, if we do not pay attention to the protection of the human, we will not survive. Let us act together now, Protect environment, from "I" to start.

新世纪，祖国日新月异，咱们小区了不落后。瞧！汽车穿梭往来，高楼鳞次栉比，万物焕然一新……

我听妈妈说，原来这儿可不是像现在这样繁荣昌盛。以前这里是一片荒芜的农田，在旁边有一家小机械厂和几户人家。人们外出走着泥泞的小路。到了晚上更是死一般的寂静，伸手不见五指；人们煮饭的炊烟呛得人喘不过气，熏得人睁不开眼。如果下雨天，雨淋到农田，水出不去，就会导致禾苗淹死、腐烂，发出一股令人厌恶的臭味，但如果是旱天，出会造成禾苗干旱而死。所以，这里是一片瘦瘠的农田。

后来，小机械厂逐渐扩大，变成国家企业，就把这片瘦瘠的农田建筑成一座繁华的小区。

现在，我们生活的小区已旧貌换新颜，一幢幢楼房拔地而起，玉柴大厦巍峨耸立。厨房里也安装了抽油烟机，不会再呛得人喘不过气；走出家门，更是一片繁荣的景象，车水马龙，灯火通明。放眼望去，像星星一样耀眼；现在，琳琅满目的超市、商店给我们带来了方便。社区还建设了美丽的花园，为了让大家在玩的同时也能够锻炼身体，于是在花园里一阵阵笑声；每到早晨，人们都会纷纷出来锻炼身体，有的跑步，有的舞剑，有的打太极拳……其它小区的人也闻名而来，我简直为我生活的小区感到骄傲。

这就是昔日农田的小区，经济发达给它镶上了一道金边，在众区之中绽放光彩，你难道不为它感到骄傲吗？

About Environmental protection

The air we breath, the water we drink, the animals with us...We are engaged in building a harmonious relationship between the nature and we human beings.

As a supervisor of HSE management in an oil company, I can see the environmental protection in a different way.

In 1989, an oil tanker hit a rock off the northwest coast of Alaska. 35,000 tons of oil poured into the sea. The accident was one of the worst in history. More than 34,000 birds and 10,000 animals were killed. 4,800 square kilometers of ocean were polluted.

The poured oil long-time coverd the surface of ocean and the bodies of marine creatures.We call oil as "black gold",at that time, it turns out to be "black killer".When I saw the famous French film"The travelling birds", thousands of birds are stuck by black sticky oil and died in a few days,many species are no more exist. Ill never forget that sight-shocking scene.

Therefore, we ought to bound up environmental protection with industrial safty control.

Secondly, when oil tankers use ultrasonic waves to test underwater oil stocks, many whales sensing system is spoiled by the instant powerful ultrasonic bolt. Once they were hit by a ultrasonic bolt,they were almost deaf. They cant effectively respond dangerous surroundings around them and are liable to be reeled in the engine of oil tankers or be killed by whaler and other natural enemies.Thereby,we can see the quantity of whales declines very fast.

Its a shame that a great many oil companies havent even realized that. Highly attentions needs to be paid on to keep improving the exploring technology of drilling work on the sea.

All in all, Enviormental protection is an extremely wide subject, In my short essay I can hope at most to lift one small corner of that field and yet it is a critical corner
