A hobby can be almost anything a person likes to do in his spare time. Hobbyists raise pets, build model ships, weave bas-kets, or carve soap figures and so on. In a word, hobbies offer en-joyment, friendship, knowledge and relaxation.

Then, what is my hobby? Well, what I like most is singing. I began to sing songs when I was very young. My uncle was studying in a college then, so he could sing lots of songs, and he taught me several songs. I showed great interests in the music then, for they were pleasing to ears and easy to sing. My uncle told me they were called pop songs.

When I grew up, my music teacher found that I had a good voice, so she sent me to the Childrens Palace to study vocal mu-sic. From then on, I began my vocal music training. And then I knew there were several kinds of songs, like folk songs, pop songs and so on. What I had learned most was the songs for children. They were all simple ones but our teacher trained us very strictly. We practiced how to produce sound and how to make our expres-sion more natural and more pleasing. Those simple training didnt reduce my interest in singing at all and I won awards one after another in several kinds of competition. Actually I began to make up a dream of becoming a famous singer in the future.

As time went by, I came to realize that my dream wouldnt come true for there were strict conditions of being a singer. But I still took singing as my hobby since I found in music the interests which were lost in the exams. When I put all my emotion into singing a song, it gave me very good and very pleasant feelings, and a good chance to relax. Besides, it was a good way to learn things that couldnt be easily found in life.

Now as Im saying goodbye to my childhood my voice has changed into a deep male voice, and therefore I can sing a lot of songs written for adults. I am often deeply moved, by the melody or by what the song.

my summer vacation of this year was very enjoyable. i went to the countryside to spend my summer holidays. it is very beautiful there. there are green plants, clear rivers, lovely animals kind people. i spent two weeks helping my grandfather do some farm work there. i wrote down what happened in my diary every day.

My university life has been one of the most colorful parts of my life. I will never forget the day when I first stepped into the university. First, studying on the campus gives me lots of pleasure. After some very arduous military training, I became absolutely absorbed in my studies. I am a sophmore of Nanchang University.Now i want to introduce to you guys about my university.It has a long history back to the fifties of last century.

As it locate far away from the city center ,the most prosperous place,you may think the traffic is totally unconvenient,then you are wrong,instead of unconvenient ,there are a lot of transportation tools that will take you to where you want to go at any time.when it going to say about facilities and faculites,i will say they are excellent and helpful.I cherish friendship and like to make as many friends as i can and i found out that the students there are have a heart of gold ,and are hospital.So,thats my university,it is not the best one but i still love it .I can foresee that i will enjoiy my life on campus from now.

高三是一首幽怨的歌，唱出学习的艰难，喝出人生的苦短;高三是一首沉重的诗，写出求知路上的酸甜苦辣，记下寒窗生活的春夏秋冬;高三是一个疲惫的梦，映照心领神会的患得患失，翻滚脑海浪涛的胡思乱想。梦醒时分，梦失何处?

蓦然回首，那梦却在灯火阑珊处。

人在高三，身不由己。不断地做题，不断地拼搏，不断地追求。我们为梦想而疲惫，顾不上那轮皎洁的明月;我们为梦想而疲惫，顾不上那弯绚丽的彩虹，我们为梦想而疲惫，顾不上那抹斑斓的彩霞。然而我记得，太阳每天都是新的。这个，我不敢忘，也不能忘。忘记了这个，就动摇了信念，懒惰了灵魂，就失去了梦想，迷失了追求。然而既然是梦想，就有实现的可能。没有耕耘，就没有收获，这是一个亘古不变的真理。我明了，所以心中无数的包袱终于放下。但能不能真正放得下所有的包袱呢?

高三，如梦如幻的生活。习题如雨丝，如雪花，如沙子，如米粒，数不清，解不完。专心地听讲，细心地答题，循环往复着三点一线的生活。然而我们并不觉得痛苦，因为有成就感的存在。开心时则开心，牢记为什么而开心;烦恼时则烦恼，尽早忘记为何而烦恼。在叹息失去的同时，我们已经收获了很多。不会埋怨，不会气馁，不会与别人计较，因为自己才是自己最大的对手。虽然知道高三有永远解不完的题目，但还是不断的告诉自己，放弃是最大的魔鬼，它会侵蚀你的心灵，让你一日复一日地变得空虚，直到留下一副七尺躯壳。这样的生活，任何人也会觉得心疲。恨铁不成钢，或许更恨自己不成才，徘徊在希望与失望之间，这段历程好艰难。没有力气追问，是被安逸的生活惯坏了，还是自己的心情变了，让我们不留遗憾又奈何?

路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求梦。

高三有许多的压力，许多的恐惧，许多的烦恼。无法估量的压力来源于父母，来源于学校，来源于社会，更来源于自己。自己犹如一匹老马，肩负太重的担子，然而还是得前行，最多泣下几滴眼泪而已。害怕自己落榜，害怕辜负厚望，害怕别人嘲笑。一切恐惧交织着，埋藏在心底，一触即发。我们就怎样怨天尤人了吗?不!我们岂能做一介懦夫。挺起胸膛，我们都是一个像样的人。高三是一道坎，是为有准备的人而设的，谁畏头畏脑，犹豫不决，谁准跨不过。有信心的我们，憧憬着跨过这道坎，坎外就是自己美好的未来。

朋友，不起乞求帮助，因为毅力源于自心;朋友，不要选择放弃，因为放弃滋生懊悔;朋友，不要犹豫徘徊，因为犹豫将蹉跎人生。朋友，挺住!挺住高三!

My new college life is going to start, so I cannot help feeling excited. How many times I have dreamed my beautiful and meaningful university life!

When my new life begins, I think the first thing I should do is to focus on my study. I will try my best to learn as many subjects as possible. Besides, I think I will take part in some school activities to improve my comprehensive ability, such as communication ability and so on. At the same time, I am supposed to join some student unions or clubs to make my life colorful.

I know there are many differences between high schools and universities, so I will change my study habits. In high schools, it is the times of teachers forcing students to study, but in universities, we should arrange all the things by ourselves, so I will study by myself. I will make study plans such as time schedule or something like that by myself.

Of course, I will practice myself to be more independent. Independence is a rather curtail ability for future development, so if there are any problems, I will do my best to solve it personally, and wont ask someone at first as before.

This is what I arrange for my new life, and hope it will start soon. I am ready for it!

Summer can be very hot in southern xx where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim.

In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.
