The Spring Festival, the most jubilant and important festival in China, is observed by most Chinese people at home and abroad. Our hometown is not an exception.

Similar with other places in china, we prepare for the festival about half a month before. With the lunar New Year approaching, the red lanterns are hung up along the main streets, making the ancient town filled with the festival atmosphere. While people clean up their houses, decorate it with traditional decorations such as Chinese knots and paper cutting. Each family pastes up Spring Festival couplets to convey their best wishes for the coming year.

On the New Year’s Eve, the whole family sits around, having a

sumptuous feast of reunion. It is worth mentioning that the food we have called maiyouzhi is unique. There is a flat piece of wheat sheet covering various vegetable and meat then rolling them up. What a delicious it is! After dinner, the family always watches the Spring Festival Gala Evening, and sets up fireworks to watch in the New Year.

On the first day of the New Year, people pay visits to the relatives and friends to send New Year’s greetings to each other and wish everything smoothly in the new year. The kids can get a lot of lucky money from the elders.

During the whole holiday, there are varied activities in the town such as lion and dragon dance, and all the citizens enjoy them very much.

People celebrate the festival until the Lantern festival. However, the wonderful memory and the joy of the Spring Festival will last long.

My College Life

How time flies! I have been in Zhejiang Gongshang University for a semester. In retrospect, my college life is busy but colorful. Different from my senior high school’s life, the whole new life I led is much freer. I arranged my time,

becoming the master of myself.

First of all, study is still the core of my life. I major in Japanese which is both interesting and challenging. We are required to be accomplished in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. As a result I had to spend most of time in improving my abilities. Besides of the regular courses, I often attended the lecture and went to the library to eich my knowledge, and I do benefit from what I learnt.

As to the after school life, what I consider most meaningful is joining the YVP to serve society. I think it is the responsibility for every university student to make contribution to the community. Little as my effort is, I tried my best to help the people around us. Once the YVP organized us to sell secondhand books and raise the money to help the people indeed.

In addition, I quite enjoy the travels and the bees. Travels let me experience the sunshine, fresh air as well as the special taste of the local customs and practices. While the bees keep the friendship shining, and friends are as if family members. Both of them lit up my life.

All in all, the college life is a journey, and I have long way to go; all the memory is the most precious treasure, and I will value every moment.

说起低碳生活，从我记事起，外公就帮我养成了一个很好的习惯——将一些废纸和纸箱都收集起来，然后拿到废品收购站去卖。那时我还不懂什么，只当是节约，现在想想，要是每个人都能这样做的话，那我们人类将可以少砍多少树呀!每次我和家人去超市购物，我都会提醒大人带上环保袋，平时我们买饮料会尽量买纸盒装的，那样可以减少“白色污染”。 记得有一回在超市，我妈妈看见一个可以挤牙膏的东西，就要买下来，说那样的话可以把牙膏挤的很干净，那可以节省点。我却说：“你看，这是用是塑料做的”。妈妈不明白是什么意思。我又说：“为了节省点一点牙膏而使地球上又多了一些白色垃圾，有什么好的”?妈妈恍然大悟，连说：“是呀，是呀!看来这个发明的确是得不偿失呀”!

低碳生活其实还有很多小窍门呢!比如洗脸过的水可以用来冲马桶，浇花;洗衣机里洗衣物的水可以用一个个盆子装起来，可以用来擦地板，擦家具……这些都是我们平时力所能及的一些小事。

我和高中的某一位同学在一起吃饭，偶而也有联系，我原来没有对她讲过太多关于高中的生活，因为我不愿意回忆高中的生活，那对我是一种不大不小的折磨，但是今天在一起吃饭，由于我是请客的，是主人，所以我要照顾到在座的每位人，不能冷场。于是我总是找些话题和每个人闲扯一番，刚好我旁边坐着的是我高中同学兼我老公朋友的妻子，我想我们的共同话题只有过去了，也就是那久远的发黄的高中生活。我本以为随便说上几句，也就完事了，但是我属于那种要么没什么激情，要么激情一旦燃烧起来，就难以熄灭的性格。结果聊上隐了，我把我高中的感受像弹珠似的发射出来，她唯有可怜的睁着略显惊异的双眼，听着我那平淡而又压抑的高中故事。

在乡里的初中，我学习挺好的，当时是老师认为满有把握考入重点高中的学生之一，但是由于我打心眼里讨厌学习，最后冲刺的两个月，我基本上是处于逃学、不听课的状态。所以我高中差了五分未被录取，当我知道这个消息的时候，我不知道何去何从、也没有方向，完全丧失了逃学时候的英勇、反判的劲头，整个暑假我都被夹裹在训斥声中，基本上劳改了一个暑假，接受了各种各样的体力劳动的惩罚，站在酷暑的田地里，大人问：“还想不想上学。”我心里想着赶快逃离这种苦役，我违心的、毫无底气的说：“想。”

结果我上一中的时候，别人已经上了一个星期了，当时我和十几个同学被安排在最后两排，当时的感觉是名不正、言不顺的，就像在单位里临时工的感觉，总是觉得低人一等。还有原来在乡里，大家都穿得土里土气的，也没觉着自己和人家有什么两样，可是到了城里，那女孩美得跟花似的，自己连个绿叶都算不上，本来就易于敏感的我，更是缄默不言了，自卑时刻咬噬着自己的心，那就甭提学习了，考上重点的本来都是好学生，我在这一群佼佼者中成为了垫底者。我就这样挣扎着度过了高一和高二。

在这期间还有一件事需要提一下，那就是退学。由于客观与主观的原因，我每天都想着退学，反正我在学校也跟不上课，家里人还辛苦的种地挣钱供我读书，上学已经没什么希望了，还不如回家帮家里挣钱，这不是一举两得的事吗?尤其是听到老师每次都苦口婆心的说：“一定要好好学习，你们能坐在这里安静的上课、学习，都是你们父母用赚的血汗钱供你们读书。”不听这句话还好，一听这句话尤如万箭穿心，更加坚定了我退学的念头。于是我骑着我的大轮自行车，载着我的箱子，回家了。回到家，什么也不用说，我妈就明白了，我想当时我妈的心沉到了底，粉碎性的痛苦，她望着自己的孩子，不知是哭还是怒，我低着头一声不吭，两腿软绵绵的，因为我一看到劳累的她，我就又开始怀疑自己做的是否对。我妈终究还是劝我回去，她说：“快点回去吧，你爸晚上回到家，要是看到你不上学了，他还不知道怎么打你呢。”我妈说到点子上了，我最恐惧的是我爸，他的歇斯底里的训话，不由分说的打人，还有最恶毒的语言诋毁，会把我整个人毁灭掉，我想我会死在他手里。一想起他来，我浑身都会发抖，我的胆小、懦弱促使我又回去了，回到了这所只有读书、背书、做练习题的地方。

整个高一、高二就是在这种极度沮丧、极度自卑、极度压抑的氛围中度过的，一圈圈的把我套牢，我一生中性格的大部分形成，也开始于这个时候。

高三的生活达到了我人生中最疯狂、也最不可思议程度，如果再有一个高三，我想我只有进精神病院了。因为我无路可退，因为我被无数的人、无数次的无情的训斥，进入高三的时候我就立誓，我要学习，我要疯学这一年，不管不顾，最终无论考上于否，都不要再来抱怨我，都不要再说是我的错，因为我要全身心的投入到学习中，我要把自己完全变成一台学习的机器。

进入高三暑假的补课，从第一节课开始，我在心里带着极大的仇恨，发了血誓，这种仇恨可能针对我父亲的，也可能是针对这万恶的考试，当时脑子里总是出现一个图像“自己咬牙切齿的拿着刀子，对着自己的父亲”，我想在当时我是恨他的，恨的唯一的方式就是让自己发疯。

An activity about low carbon living

Currently,my school is launching an activity whose theme is that actions change the world to advocate the low carbon living.

In the activity,we are required to go to school or some other place by bike or by foot as much as possible instead of by bus.And when the Christmas comes,sending e-greeting cards instead of tridional cards of which are made of wood as we know.Besides,we should use both sides of every piece of paper and we should save water as well as electricity.

I believe that only we do thus can we have a better living environment.

There are still many problems of environmental protection in recent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. the polluted air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. What is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.

To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

I am going to shool from Monday to Friday,and every day in school I am very busy.In the morning,I have four lessons,and in the afternoon I have three lessons.Of course I take two hours to go home for lunch.And we begin classes at 2:30,the school is over at 4:55.

After school,sometimes I’ll stay in the classroom.But sometimes I play games with my friends when I go home after school.I think my school life is busy but happy.

I have studied in my middle school for three years.My life in middle school is rich and I have learned a lot. I get knowledge from text books as well as from extra curricular activities. I studied hard in the past three years so that I got perfect scores. But, I also attach importance to other aspects, such as making friends, hobbies, health and sports. I build good relationships with my classmates. They become an important part of my life.I like to chat with them after class that makes me relax and comfortable. My hobby is swimming. Every Sunday morning, I go to swim with my friends or my father. When I have fun, I build a healthy body. Its so great to me. In one word, my life in middle is colorful and unforgettable.

五一黄金周我玩得可痛快了。

第一天，我们全家到赭山去玩。来赭山之前，妈妈给我买了吊床，让我到山上树林里荡。我们来到赭山，所有休息的地方都被别人占领了，我们好不容易才找到一块大石头上坐了下来。我想：现在好了，可以痛痛快快的玩一玩了。妈妈找了两棵挨得较近的树木把吊床系好，我就躺在吊床上，像一只大蜘蛛十分舒服坐在网中央。中午，天气有些热了，我又买了根冰激凌大口大口的吃了起来。

在回家的路上，爸爸妈妈让我当向导，我记忆力强，所以很轻松地把爸爸妈妈带出了这个“迷宫”。

啊!赭山真是休闲的好地方。
