Summer can be very hot in southernxx where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come. With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.

The summer vacation had come round again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it. First, I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them. Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. It stood to reason that with such a good plan I should make the best of my vacation time. I did, because I lived up to what I had planned.

If you want to ask me what my drem is. I can’t reply you immediately because I have so many dreams.

When I was very young, I always sang a song to my neighbours. When I finished, they laughed and cheered. At that time, I made up my mind to be a singer. I want to sing many songs in my own style, and spread my happiness to everyone.

At the age of 8, one day, I went to an amusement park with my parents. There were many interesting and exciting things. I played happily. When I wanted to play another one, my mother took me home. So I dreamt to open up a park and let many children play in it while day.

But now, I have grown up. I have ever seen many places of interests in the picture, including White House, Great Wall, Pyramid and so on. How beautiful they are!for this reason, I dreamt to be a traveller and travel round world.

But I know “too many dreams stands for no dream”. So I must try my best to achieve one dream, and I believe I can be successful.

3.How time flies! Today was the forth day since I came here. Everyday was different. Today Mr. Brodie let us Wtch a movie. It’s called “pride and prejudice”. The heroine was very beautiful and clever. The environment was beautiful too. The movie was interesting but I thought our teacher was more lovely than it.

Miss Zhang taught us grammer. It was difficult but important. So we must learn it. It was important for us to learn English. It helped us to talk with foreigners.

In the night, we will have an exam about vocabulary. Our teacher said it was easy so I am sure I can do it well.

4.A good day begins from the morning. In the whole morning, we watched “pride and predudice”. One is lovely and the other is lyrical. They enlarged my idea. I liked them very much. Hello, I am Fan Rong. I am from China . This is my family’s travel plan. We are going in to travel around China during the summer holidays. We are going to stay in China for two weeks. Last summer, my father and mother decided to take me to England for a trip. On that day, we were on the plane in Hongkong, and my father told me we had to fly to Holland first and then transfer there. On the plane, stewardess stewardess is very polite. But Im still happy. Because Ill soon see my fathers friend, uncle Mike and his family. After a period of flight, our small plane finally landed at Liverpool John Lennon Airport in england. My mom and dad couldnt speak English when I was out of customs, and I was the only one to act as their interpreter. Its very troublesome to go through customs. To verify our passports, we need to cover chapter after chapter, and also to pick up our luggage. After all the customs formalities, we were tired out.

We dragged the trunk out of the airport and dads friend, uncle Mike, had been waiting for us outside. Suddenly, dad asked Uncle Mike, "what time is it for you in England?""

Uncle Mike immediately said, "its seven in the morning."! You have worked hard all the way!"

After greeting each other for a while, a coach with 7 people could drive us straight to uncle Mike. Uncle Mikes wife is Grace, a native of Hongkong, very friendly and friendly to people. 我们摘好了柠檬，放在篓子里，回到了屋子里准备挑柠檬。把比较生的和比较熟的分别挑出来，其余的用来做成调料。很快我们就已经把柠檬分好类了。奶奶拿起那篓熟的，去了皮，把汁液滴进了几杯冰水里。我拿起一杯，咕咚咕咚地喝了起来，结果酸得我五官变形。挤眉皱眼的我大叫：“这也太酸了吧?我要加糖!”奶奶笑眯眯地说：“不能加糖，这是纯天然的绿色食品，加了糖就不好喝了……”我被奶奶教训了一大通，看她没有停的意思，我连忙说：“好奶奶，我听您的，不加糖，我这就喝!”说完，便捏着鼻子，把这杯水给喝了。

接下来，我们把生的柠檬切成片，去掉籽，扎上洞，把它们铺在太阳底下，让它晒成柠檬干。第二天，柠檬晒干了，奶奶把融化了的麦芽糖糖汁洒在柠檬片上，我拿起一片，含在嘴里，甜丝丝的，很好吃。
