One of my classmate studies in American now and before he went aboard he told me his American dream is he can stand at the top of the New York. To be honest, I also dream that one day I can get the Green Card living there happily and successfully maybe working at the Wall Street. When Xu gets the award he thinks he entirely melted in the melting pot neglecting the multicultural obstruct, later the plot goes against the way he thinks. And later Quinlan asked Xu ‘why you be the scapegoat of your father?’ Xu answers ‘because he is Chinese.’ Then maybe Xu knows that there is always a wide gap between Chinese and American cultures.

The fifth and the last point is the humors, Quinlan says ‘you can’t fall, your health security is the company paid.’ ‘Datong, welcome home, maybe next time, you can come from the front door.’ ‘dady, why you come from the window’ ‘ because we don’t have a chimney.’ I really adore this distinguished American humor, especially in dangerous situations, which is quite rare in China.

In the winter holiday.I read a book.It is very wonderful.Its name is "The monkeys paw".The book tells about the Whites and a paws story.Mr.Whites friend gave him a small and dirty paw.He said "It can makes your dreams come true.But youll feel unhappy."Mr.White wanted ?3000.And after some days,he got ?3000,but his son deid.The end is Mr.White and his wife were very sad.

I think “The monkeys paw” is very useful.Because it tells us some important things.Such as "get something for nothing." is impossible.We must do every things by ourselves.And we must know learn by doing.

When I was 10 years old.I was not good at math.And I had tried to find many escape solutions.But no one is good for me.My mother tolds me,"learn by doing",and I did some test questions.Now,my math is ok.I think my story likes "The monkeys paw".And in the new future,I will do every things by my self and do not rely on my father and mother.I know I am the best.

Recently， I have read a very interesting book， the Adventures of Tom Sawyer。 And the companion volume is the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn。 This book described an American boy， Tom Sawyer’s fantastic adventure。 The author of this novel is one of my favorite writers， Mark Twain， who was honored as the literary giant and was good at writing satirical novels。 The reason that I enjoy Mark Twain’s composition is that he always brought me into a funny world by using very simple description but perfect writing skills and attractive story structures。 Nevertheless， when I finished reading his words， I would think some deeper and serious things that he wanted to convey to us。 The style of Mark Twain’s composition is humorous but actually very sharp， which exposed the weakness and the hypocrite of human nature and expressed his desiring for a perfect and ideal world。
