however， reports about food problems have often been seen in the newspapers，

The reason for this problem is that some of the food producers are too fond of

normal because people just cannot live without eating anything.

Christmas is one of the most important celebrations of the year for the western countries. It falls on the twenty- fifth of December and has the same importance as Chinese New Year to people with English backgrounds. The celebration is for the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the son of God in Christianity. Now days Christmas is no longer only celebrated by the Christians, but by most people from all over the world.

On the twenty- fourth of December everyone gets excited for it’s the day before Christmas which is called Christmas Eve. The children are usually sent to bed early and are warned that “Santa Claus will only come and give you a present if you be good.” The younger kids actually believe that Santa will come down the chimney on the sleigh that’s pulled by his reindeers. Food like short bread and beer are prepared for Santa when he comes, however most times parents just eat them. They look into their presents with a big smile on their face and oh dear….I hope no one’s disappointed. I feel sorry for anyone that got pink underwear. Children play while dinner is prepared by the adults. The Christmas dinner are usually eaten together by relatives. The tradition of Christmas pudding and roosters are usually eaten with deserts afterwards. The rest of the day is usually games and fun before the good days all come to an end.

写好记叙文，首先要头绪分明，脉络清楚，明确文章要求写什么。要对所写的事件或人物进行分析，弄清事件发生、发展一直到结束的整个过程，然后再收集选取素材。这些素材都应该跟上述五个" W "和一个" H "有关。尽管不是每篇记叙文里都必须包括这些" W "和" H "，但动笔之前，围绕五个" W "和" H "进行构思是必不可少的。

2. 突出中心，详略得当

在文章的框架确定后，对支持故事的素材的选取是很关键的。选材要注意取舍，应该从表现文章主题的需要出发，分清主次，定好详略。要突出重点，详写细述那些能表现文章主题的重要情节，略写粗述那么非关键的次要情节。面面俱到反而使情节罗列化，使人不得要领。这一点是写好记叙文要解决的一个基本问题，也需要一定的技巧。如：

One night a man came to our house and told me, "There is a family with eight children. They have not eaten for days." I took some food with me and went.

When I finally came to that family, I saw the faces of those little children disfigured (破坏外貌) by hunger. There was no sorrow or sadness in their faces, just the deep pain of hunger.

I gave the rice to the mother. She divided the rice in two, and went out, carrying half the rice. When she came back, I asked her, "Where did you go?" she gave me this simple answer, "To my neighbors - they are hungry also!"

3. 用活语言，准确生动

记叙文要用具体的事件和生动的语言对人、事、物加以叙述。一篇好的记叙文的语言既要准确、生动，又要表现力强，这样才能把人、事描写得具体生动，其可读性才强。试比较下面一篇例文修改的前后效果。

原文：

One day Xiaoqiang was wandering away. He was soon lost among people and traffic. He could not find the way back home and started crying. Just then, two young students who were passing by found him standing alone in front of a shop and crying. They went up to Xiaoqiang and asked him what had happened. Xiaoqiang told them how he got lost and where he lived. The two students decided to take him home. Mother was pleased to see Xiaoqiang come back safe and sound. She invited the two students into the house and gave them some money, but they didnt take it. She served them with tea but they left.

修改后：

The other day, five-year-old Xiaoqiang left home alone and wandered happily in the street. After some time, he felt hungry so he wanted to go back home. But he found he was lost among the crowded people and heavy traffic. When he could not find the way home, he started and crying. Just then, two young students who were passing by from school found him sanding crying in front of a shop. They immediately went up to him.

"Little boy, why are you standing here crying?" they asked.

"I want Mom, I go home." said the boy, still crying.

"Dont worry, well send you home."

And they spent the next two hours looking for the boys house. With the help of a policeman, they finally found it.

When the worried mother saw her son come back safe and sound, she was so thankful and she invited the students into her house. Gratefully, she offered them some money, saying it was a way to express her thanks, but the young students firmly refused it and left without even a cup of tea.

That was spectacular. Tonight, the world was able to join in a magnificent tribute to the athletes and the Olympic spirit. It was an unforgettable and moving ceremony that celebrated the imagination, originality and energy of the Beijing Games.

We saw 204 national delegations march into the beautiful new National Stadium in the age-old tradition of the Games. Millions of people around the world were able to experience the thrill of seeing their heroes in a sea of team colours and national flags.

We witnessed athletes from these 204 countries and territories united in peace in one place. And for the next 16 days, they will be a part of one of the most thrilling competitions in history. As an Olympian, I can tell you that they will carry this memory with them forever.

This iconic stadium is one of the worlds new wonders. It was a fitting setting for an amazing Opening Ceremony, I look forward to an equally exciting and unforgettable 16 days.

一、瞧我们这家子

我们一家三口，如一个小小的三角形，不大却牢固不已。

一日，阳光明媚。但看了半天书，我正烦躁不已。“两个大懒虫，还不出来帮忙?!”妈妈大声呼喊着。我和爸爸赶紧奔出房间门，一看：妈妈抱了一大堆被子正站在院中。爸爸疾步上前，从妈妈手中取过几床。妈妈舒了口气。我刚准备接过自己的棉被，却被她拉住了手，仔细审视着，数落道：“这么脏，自己的被子都不珍惜，真是的……”“好啦好啦。”爸爸解围道，一边还冲我挤了个眼色。我立刻挺直身板：“是，母亲大人，下次我一定注意，决不再犯!”妈妈被我逗乐了，摇摇头：“唉，你们这对父女啊……”

我们这家子可不简单，一刻都静不下来。这不你瞧，又闹开了。

放学了，我兴冲冲地冲进家门，迎面扑来饭菜的香味。我扔下书包，赶到桌前，呦!饭菜都热腾腾地摆着呢!爸爸放下茶杯，到桌前坐定，便笑眯眯地问：“今天讲了什么?” 哎呀，这可是老话题了!今天嘛，呵呵：“政治视野中的历史与现实!今天主要分析蒋介石这个人物。当然啦——”猛一抬头，爸爸的脸上似乎有一种按捺不住滑稽的焦急的神情，哎，肯定有一肚子话想往外倒呢!我们家言论自由，不能不让人说话，对不对?我优雅地伸出手，做了一个“请”的动作。爸爸也不客气，立刻滔滔不绝起来：“蒋介石这个人，自尊心太强，所以他的猜忌心特别重，你看他……”“聪明!我们老师也是这样讲的。老师还把他和毛泽东做了比较，他们俩还是有相似之处的。”“那当然，领袖气质嘛!”妈妈忙里偷闲从厨房探头出来，和爸爸一样一吐为快。“老毛这个人嘛……”说实话，爸爸的话匣子一旦打开，就没得停了。哎呀呀，大有名家之风，学者之势!讲得可真是眉飞色舞，口若悬河!可我呢?也发挥了小迷糊的禀赋，左耳朵进右耳朵出，当然心里还偷着乐。

兴许你还不知道，今天吃排骨呦!火候正好，糖醋适当。咬一口，哎呀，学校食堂里的哪能比呀!我的筷子毫不客气，一下，两下，真不错，妈妈做的!可正当我的神思随着那香味飞入那美丽的乌托邦，似乎是一眨眼，眼前那一大碗热腾腾地排骨变成了一碗青菜——继而是妈妈的声音：“别光顾着吃肉，多吃点青菜!”唉，美好的时光总是那么短暂。爸爸不知什么时候讲完了，也应和着：“哎，就是这样，你不是想苗条吗?少吃点肉。”“我才不要苗条呢。”唉，算了，吃素菜，彼此相爱。

看到了吗?一顿兴许仅有一刻钟的晚饭，却一秒也没有安静过。不像温馨的烛光晚餐，却像一场时间的抢夺，一秒钟也不放过。可每一秒钟，我们都能感到幸福的洋溢。我们的心在一处，不是吗?我们彼此真心相守，寸寸光阴不能浪费。如今的我正值花样年华，而爸爸妈妈，也尚未年老。如果能让我许一个愿，我就希望我们彼此平平安安，去演绎和品味每一寸光阴的幸福。

三、瞧我们这家子

跟您直说了吧，我这一家子没什么特别的，但也不时会发生点出人意料的事。瞧——

“明天是我跟你老爸的20年结婚纪念日!”妈妈冷不丁的一句，让我惊讶得说不出话来。

别奇怪，我惊讶是有原因的。大抵所有的男人都会被女人同一个问题所困扰，“今天是什么日子?”男人便绞尽脑汁地猜“情人节?你生日?还是端午日?”但这样的对话往往在女人的叹息中结束，“唉，今天是我和你约会一周年纪念日呀!”但记忆中爸爸从未被问过这种问题。真的，我们家绝不是一个浪漫的家庭，没有“艺术人生”式的煽情，也没有美丽的玫瑰和烛光晚餐。

你现在一定可以想象到我当时近乎“惊悚”的表情。我扬起眉毛，问妈妈：“二十年?原来您是‘晚年得子’啊!我以前怎么不知道?”妈妈笑着说：“以前哪兴什么结婚纪念日啊，可现在我同事好多都这样，我也想跟个风，潮一把。”当我还想追问细节时，妈妈已经转身和洗衣机打交道了。酷!不知道我在我的二十年结婚纪念日时，是否也能这样从容。难道妈妈真不在乎?那她又为何要提?我开始搜索爸妈在一起的片段——

记忆中爸妈很少在我面前牵手或拥抱，即使是拍照，也是爸爸搂着妈妈，拍完就分开了。难道他们恋爱时也是这样“不瘟不火”?难道婚姻真是爱情的坟墓?又或许是这爱藏在某个角落，不易被察觉?

我突然想到了爸爸看妈妈穿新衣服时傻傻的笑，想到妈妈每天为爸爸打领带的情景，想到爸爸为正在做饭的妈妈将垂下的一缕头发抚到耳后的瞬间……原来爸妈的爱是融入生活的，它虽不轰轰烈烈但却能温暖我们的心，维系着这个幸福的家庭。

“叮铃铃”电话铃响了，是爸爸。“叫你妈接电话。”爸爸说道。“结婚纪念日?”我小心试探。“你也知道?”爸爸惊讶地说。我回头看了看妈妈，她正坐在沙发上若无其事地看电视呢，可嘴角却已抑制不住地上扬了。

瞧我这一家子，虽平凡但不乏温馨，我们彼此相爱，就像磁场吸引着磁铁一样紧密不分离。
