She sleeps on the window ledge, in the open drawer, in the empty shoe, on the grass, between the flowers, under the tree, on anybody’s lap, in a cardboard box, in the cupboard, or on my dress. Sally doesn’t care! She sleeps anywhere. She likes sleeping on my lap best.

I feed Sally every day and give her clean water. Sometimes I brush her fur and she enjoys it very much.

Sally is a very good friend, but she is quite lazy! She never worries because we take good care of her. She is always a happy cat.

Friendship is a kind of human relations. It is a human instinct to make friends.When in trouble, we

need friends to offer us help, support and encouragement. With success achieved, we also need friends to share our joys.

Friendship is also one of the greatest pleasures that we can enjoy. It implies loyalty, cordiality, sympathy, affection,and readiness to help. No man can make the most of his life without carefully and conscientiously striving to win the right kind of friends as he goes along.

Knowing how valuable friendship is, we should be very careful in making friends. Real friends are those who have good character, superior ability and kindness of heart. Real friends can share all our sorrows and double all our joys.While making friends, we should take care to select those who have such fine qualities. Then we should treat our friends with courtesy, be careful not to interfere unreasonably with them,and not to ridicule their proceedings. Nowadays, football has become one of the most popular entertainment sports for human beings. In the daily life, people ranging from kids to adults play football when they have spare time. It can help people relax and gain a healthy body. But not too many people know the special meaning of December 9th every year. It is World Football Day. It is because of the demonstration of students in December 9th, 1935. Under the leadership and organization of China Communist Party and leadership, Peiping Students Federation leading the students in Peiping city, which was more than 6000 held demonstrations. The students shouted the slogans of “overthrow Japanese imperialism,” "stop the civil war, and close ranks". Their demonstration resulted in a new upsurge of nation-wide Anti-Japanese Democratic Movement. In order to memorize this student movement, the United Nations made December 9th as World Football Day in 1978.

如今，足球已经成为最受人们欢迎的娱乐体育运动之一。在日常生活中，从小孩到大人有空的时候都会踢踢足球。它可以帮助人们放松，获得健康。但却没多少人知道每年的十二月九日的特别意义。这一天是世界足球日。这是源于1935年12月9日的学生游行。在中国共产党的组织和领导下，北平市学生联合会率领北平市6000多名学生举行示威游行。学生们高呼“打倒日本帝国主义”，“停止内战，一致对外”等口号。他们的示威引起了了全国人民抗日民主运动的新高潮。为了纪念此次学生运动，联合国于1978年把12月9日定为世界足球日。
