今年寒假期间，我和爷爷奶奶一起到北京游玩。终于见到了我心仪已久的长城。

我们去的是最有名的北京八达岭长城，听爷爷说，它是万里长城的精华，远远望去，它真像一条游走的巨龙，横卧在条条山脉之间。走进入口，长城上人山人海，都是和我们一样慕名而至的游人。

一级级陡峭的台阶出现在我们眼前。导游介绍说：“这里是长城的一个隘口，长城是我国古代劳动人民创造的奇迹。自秦朝开始，修筑长城一直是一项大工程”

我和爷爷奶奶都惊叹不已，当时没有任何机械，全部劳动都得靠人力，而周围又是崇山峻岭，真是无法想象，我们的祖先是经过怎样艰苦的劳动，才开凿出如此宏伟壮观的长城的。

往上走，台阶越来越陡峭。奶奶实在上不去了，她无奈的说：“雅雅，咱不上了吧，反正我们也来过了。”

我想：奶奶和爷爷年龄大了，要上就是困难；可不上吧，大老远来了，没登上长城，太可惜了。 看我不说话，爷爷发话了:“上！毛主席都说了，不到长城非好汉嘛。奶奶在这休息，我陪我孙女上去。”

我高高兴兴的拉着爷爷的手向上跑起来。

不一会，我远远就看到了“不到长城非好汉”七个潇洒的大字，爷爷告诉我，这几个字是毛主席写的。我不由得肃然起敬，认真的观赏起来。

爷爷问：你知道歌颂长城的是个都有哪些？我就边走边背给他听，有“秦时明月汉时关，万里长征人未还”，“劝君更进一杯酒，西出阳关无故人”

就这样，我们说说笑笑不知不觉就上到了最高处。我兴奋的大叫：我上来了，长城！

爷爷笑着说：“我们雅雅也是好汉了。”

站在长城的高处鸟瞰，一片绿茵茵的大地上穿行着一条巨龙，婉蜒曲折、奔腾起伏，在威严地俯视着龙的传人。那能让人感到当年秦始皇的军队在上面击鼓呐喊、燃放烟火的烽火台就像是巨龙拱起的背部；旁边有弯弯曲曲、连绵起伏的通道，那些厚重的砖块就像是巨龙的鳞片。巧妙地搭配真使人惊叹。

万里长城是我们民族的骄傲，它象征着中华民族坚强不屈的精神，这种精神也将一直激励着我勇往直前！

Last Sunday morning, my friend and I went to visit the Beijing Zoo. We went by bike. It took us about half an hour to get there. When we got there, it was already crowded with people. There were a lot of foreign visitors, too. It is said that the Beijing Zoo is the largest in Asia and one of the largest in the world. There are hundreds of different kinds of animals. It world take a whole day to see all the animals there. So we decided to see some of the most interesting ones. We saw the elephants first and then the monkeys. Chinese. In fact, it s more than 6 000 kilometres long. It winds its way from

west to east, across deserts, over mountains, through valleys till at last it

reaches the sea.It is one of the wonders of the world.The Great Wall has a history of over twenty centuries. The first part of it

was built during the Spring and Autumn Period.

During the Warring States Period, more walls were put up to defend the

borders of the different kingdoms.It was during the Qin Dynasty that the kingdom of Qin united the dif ferent

parts into one empire.

Lily and I are very interested in science, so we decided to visit the Science Museum today. It is not too far from our homes.It is about two kilometers, so we thought it was better to go there by bike.

At eight we set off. It was very nice and sunny. When we got to the gate, there were many people waiting there. We met some of my classmates and teachers. It the time to go back. We were fascinated by the scenery and reluctant to leave. We really had a pleasant time.
