As a child, when people give me the things to play or eat, I will be very

happy and then accept them. But recently, as there are so much news about the

children being cheated, my mother starts to worry about me, she tells me that I

Almost every child likes to play firework, especially in the holiday. The

shape of firework is various and colorful, which attracts children to play it

all the time. Every year, I will ask my mother to buy firework for me and I

moment I see firework, I make a wish.

During the years of suffering, a super hero called Maze was facing the war

of the Americans. One day he was planning a vacation, that was going to be

amazing; when a big giant octopus attacked the whole city…

He had no choice but to stop his vacation, and to stop the octopus. He was

transforming into a big octopus, and ready to battle Maze. Maze was ready; he

got his sword and shield ready for battle. When he came, everybody cheered for

him; the octopus was not very happy…

He used his legs and arms and kicked Maze right up into the air. Maze said

to the people; “I have a plan, but I’ll need you guys to help me with it;”

everybody agreed to help Maze, and so they all gathered around to listen to

Maze’s plan. He said to the people, “I need a person, to help and pull a string;

that way, when the giant octopus reached me, you guys just pull the string, and

it will trip; then I will need a guy that is good at tying knots, that is when

the giant octopus trips, that guy will tie his up and give it to me; then rest

of the problems I will deal with it…”

Everybody agreed to his magnificent plan, and so they got to work. First

Maze went to get a very long string, and gave it to two people that were very

good at strength to pull it, instead of pulling it let us make it that Maze’s

plan was not at length that good, for the octopus knew all about his plan; and

so could very easily pass the test…

When they failed, Maze thought about this problem; they all knew that the

octopus it always listening to their plans. Now what? Well since Maze could tell

the other people his plan, he had decided to show them his plan. He drew it on a

piece of white paper, and showed it to the people, he made some moves of how it

was done; they all understood, but the giant octopus didn’t. His plan was the

same, but the giant octopus didn’t know it.

He decided to be careful, but he couldn’t, because the string was

invisible; instead of the string part, Maze changed it into plastic paper; that

way the giant octopus couldn’t see what they were up to; this plan was good, but

let us see how it ends.

Then two men were pulling the plastic, the plastic paper broke; and so

maybe Maze didn’t think it all the way through. He changed a magnificent plan:

First of all, some people distract the giant octopus; and then Maze tied his

legs and arms; and threw him into the ocean, where he was gone and 100 percent

drowned with his legs and arms tied behind his back.

And so Maze saved the day once again, and when his mom and dad returned

home; they were very proud of him. But maze was still sad, his mom and dad

asked; “What is the matter Maze?” “Well, I did save the day Hooray! But I still

didn’t get a chance of relaxing like little children, they were like holidays!”

then his mother and father decided to hold him a holiday celebration, and lived

happily ever after.

The octopus did return, and it was all to his mom the scientist. Maze did

defeat him again and again; until the octopus was tired, he knew that he was not

the guy to beat Maze, so he changed his mind and left the city and gave lived to

Maze’s fans in peace.

2、密切关注孩子的行踪，做到知去向、知归时、知同伴、知活动内容。

What is music, no one can explain.

I like music from my childhood. My father often says when I was a baby I

would never go to sleep without soft, beautiful lullabies crooning around my

ears . Now music is a part of my life. When I feel tired, disappointed or in low

spirits, I usually turn to music. Music, nothing but only music can have so

wonderful an effect on my heart, on my pond of feeling.

Music comes with us. Where there is life, there is music. Where there is

music, there is hope. It lies in everyday life, in everyone’s life, in

everything we see, in everything we hear-- in the rhythm of the sea, in the

whisper of a gentle wind, in the melody of a bird’s singing, in the harmony of

village chimes. You can hear music wherever you may go . A man who doesn’t know

In the grave yard of Africa, there was an old gentleman that seemed just

like a normal garden, but yet it didn’t seem like it at all.

When the time had passed in order to make the world’s life come true, some

of the famous writers like Todd Marin were provided in the group’s mayor of

Pairs. It was an odd word, but also inside the effects of programming on a

website; I have a funny story.

One day I was going out on the road, I found out that I had left my wallet,

and so I had to go back and fetch it; after that I started away again. But I

found out that going on foot my feet was like very sour, then I had to go back

and ride on my bike. When I road it almost half way to school, I figured out

that my project was at home, I had to go back again; that made me exhausted, but

I prefer that way since my teacher is going crazy the past few days. I went home

and got my project, then I hopped on again; I knew that all of my stuff was

packed up, but my bike tires were out of air; at that time, I was full of anger

and stamped my feet.

I had to walk home and park it, after that I walked to school. When I was

walking and walking, I was wondering what time it was; since I had my watch on

my wrist, I know what time it is. But, when I just lifted my wrist to my face to

see what time it was, Ah! Time gave me the answer that: There was only two more

minutes until school starts!

I rushed to school as fast as my legs could carry me. When I arrived, the

teacher asked me, “Why are you so late?” I didn’t answer, the teacher gave me

extra homework, but it was just like usual. In the noon my dad didn’t question

me about it, and so I was safe.

It was a very funny story, and it was like that I had a very unlucky habit;

it was actually nothing to worry about since I got my grades up my schoolwork

was always finished in time, and so I had nothing to worry about anymore. It was

a very glad day.

But I just wish that life is better than this.

I am a December 2003 graduate from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a bachelors degree in International Business. As part of my career planning, I am very interested in supplementing my international business education with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language. I already have information from BLCU and hope to study there for at least one full year starting with this summers program continuing through the fall and spring semester 2006. Can your office advise me if such scholarships might be available to me?

I have been studying Chinese for one year now. I am not sure what level I belong to. I was told that there will be an HSK test in our university in September. I am planning to attend the test. They impart their lifes knowledge to us without reservation and patiently teach us. I remember that one of our international trade professional teachers often give us lessons in sickness, listening to her hoarse voice so far I can not imagine; We did not have water to drink in the training room. She brought us water to drink by boiling it herself and took care of us like a kind mother.

"A day as a teacher, a lifetime as a mother," in the life of the teacher meticulous care to take care of us. 就本次学校运动会我班学生的表现，向您做一个通报，并期望在今后的日子里，进一步良性互动、协同教育。

对本次运动会，要通报的不是比赛成绩，而是同学们在运动会前、运动会期间的表现。这些表现，值得我们老师和家长正视与深思，甚至反思。

本次运动会，我班的同学值得肯定的是：

第一，蔡柏莹、朱嘉仪在1500M中长跑比赛中，虽然耐力不足，但仍勇敢地坚持;虽然蔡柏莹因不适最后退出比赛，表现仍是很顽强。

第二，在朱嘉仪、蔡柏莹比赛结束后，徐颖怡、陈思朗、韦浩妍、郭淑琦、郭睿等同学陪伴她们，为她们扇风、端水，体现了同学之间的互助友爱。

第三，最后留下的几名男生赵力、刘晓奇、叶汇霖等，积极主动，组成4*100M接力队伍参加比赛，体现了良好的集体意识和荣誉感。

第四，星期六上午，张涵同学主动为同学买水，体现了体育委员的负责精神和对同学的关心。

第五，蔡柏莹同学因病住院，后须提前回家，在病床上向老师履行请假手续，这是高度自觉纪律意识的体现。

本次运动会上，我班的同学更存在着许多值得注意并引起高度重视的问题：

第一，严重的非正常减员，到运动会结束，本班只剩下10人(全员22人)，他们分别是：女生徐颖怡、陈思朗、韦浩妍、郭淑琦、沈志妍、朱嘉仪，男生郭睿、赵力、刘晓奇、叶汇霖、吴浩睿。

其中，履行请假手续的有：赛前因病、因事请假的4人，陈碧珠、黄斯琪、陈昱夫、冯永聪;中间因病请假的1人，蔡柏莹。其余7人均未履行请假手续，其中赛前私自回家的1人，造成实质性旷课两天半;其他私自回家的，有的有比赛任务在身，有的有班干责任在身。

对于请假的、不请假的同学，我们都得有一个深刻的认识、深入地分析。

(一)请假的同学，有回家看病的，有因伤在家的，有回去办事的。这些同学的理由或原因，是不是及其必要的：比如有的同学可否到现场观看比赛?可否给学加油、服务?家长的请假，有没有受到孩子的影响?或者直白地说，有没有对到孩子的迁就?

(二)不请假私自回家的同学共有5人。这些同学，有请假未按时回校的，有放弃比赛任务的，有放弃班干管理岗位的。这对于任何一个管理者来说，都是极其不安甚至紧张的。紧张的是，学生不在老师管理的视线之内的人身安全;不安的是，学生对班级利益、责任的漠视与放弃，对家长不尽诚实的态度。

不用多说，大家也都明白，运动会期间也是上课时间，是学生学习和教育的一个组成部分，私自回家，就是变相的实质性的旷课。

第二，留在学校的个别同学，无故逗留宿舍，不能遵守纪律到达班级观看比赛的位置。

第三，最后留下的几名女生，弃权4*100M接力比赛，事前既不向老师汇报，广播多次点名时也不及时向检录出说明，显得无动于衷。

对于以上的表现，作为老师有很多值得检讨的地方，当然也有一些反思，且与各位家长交流。

第一，批准学生请假，有的是为尊重家长的意愿，有的是为顺应对学生的教育;但是不可否认，这也引发了一股请假潮，引发了一股回家潮，使得运动会在部分学生的心里变成可以回家休息的良机。作为老师我有处理不够成熟的地方，值得检讨。

第二，星期五下午我与指导老师约定：没有我批准的请假条，学生不得放行;家长前来接孩子的，也必须直接与我联系。但是，指导老师并没有严格执行。对此，我代指导老师检讨。

第三，从管理上说，放手是对学生的一种信任;从人格上说，信任对学生是一种尊重。这对于学生而言，却又是一种更高的要求，一种更高的自律的要求。

运动会期间，一同学对我讲了一则故事：一个老和尚，有几个徒弟，老和尚最疼爱的徒弟，反而在最后背叛了师门。这个故事对我是一个触动：信任，呵护，难道真的会带来相反的回报?我们的孩子难道真的享受不起家长、老师对自己的信任?难道我们的学生，就像成龙先生所说的那样，“中国人还是需要管起来的”?

这确实使我非常困惑：是继续放手和信任学生，还是就此收手，把学生严格地管起来?

但是，我们的学生都将是考入国外大学的，国外的大学更强调学生的自主、自律，更强调学生的自主意识、独立意识、团队意识、责任意识、参与意识、服务意识，如果严管不放，对这些意识没有一个积极养育的过程，没有通过这个过程促进学生自觉地养成这些意识，对于他们将来在国外大学的学习生活有利还是有弊呢?

虽然本学期我刚从中国部到国际部来，对国际教育的理念实践不够;但是，对于国际教育的理念还是比较熟悉的：我校引进国际教育项目的时候，我在学校从事教育科研，是参与的;后来也曾一起参观过国内的一些国际学校。因此，我坚信要让学生更好更快地融入国外大学，国内中学阶段的提前教育与准备是非常重要的;而学生的自我教育与养成，比老师的强制教育则更加重要。

更何况，履行必要的请假手续，对学生是最低的要求。作为高一学生，作为将来有志于就读国外大学的高一学生，有课就上课，有活动就参加活动，不迟到、不早退、不旷课，这样的起码要求都不能自觉做到，我的心里是很难过的。难道我们的学生只有到了外国学校让外国教师管，才可以或者才有必要自觉?而对国内学校和教师的管理，就不必太客气?

第四，这里也不得不讲一点我对家庭教育的认识。我的孩子已经大学毕业开始读研究生了。孩子一路走来，在家庭教育上虽然有成功的地方，也有很多遗憾之处。

家长与孩子，总有一根割不断的情感脐带，无论对于男孩还是女孩，总怕委屈了孩子，因而不免有所迁就，总是更多地满足孩子的需求，总想让孩子多待在自己的身边。

其实，天下所有的爱，都是为了聚合;而唯独母爱、父爱，却是为了分离，为了孩子的远走高飞。有这样第一个故事：小鹰开始长大一点的时候，鹰妈妈就会用自己的嘴巴咬小鹰，驱赶小鹰离开鸟巢。当小鹰从鸟巢里向下坠落的时候，正是小鹰振翅学飞的绝好机会。哪怕是有风，有雨，鹰妈妈也是如此的狠心;而这种狠心，对于小鹰来说，却是最大的母爱。因为，小鹰不能学会飞翔，不能学会在风雨中翱翔，那就只有饿死，或被更为凶猛的动物猎杀。

在家长会上我曾说过，将来的社会竞争必将激烈，而且将是近乎无性别化的竞争。因此，无论是男生还是女生，无论学生、家长愿意还是不愿意，孩子都将无法逃脱这种激烈的竞争。检讨自己，我在家庭教育上的遗憾就是，呵护、关爱有余，有时甚至有些迁就、溺爱，而放手、放胆锻炼不够。说实话，我现在还在对儿子进行补课。这对于一个父亲来说，心里也是很着急甚至痛楚的。我愿意将自己的遗憾或教训，作为一面镜子，供各位家长借鉴。

尊敬的各位家长，在教育孩子的问题上，我的观点是，我和你们是合作者，是真朋友。因此，我将自己的一些想法通报给你们，希望得到你们的理解;如有不当之处，也请你们直接地批评指正。因为我们的目标是一致的，所以，心和力也应该是一致的。

这封信，请您的孩子认真地读一遍，结合自己在运动会上以及开学一个多月来的表现，自己写一个体会或认识;也请您认真地看一看，了解孩子的说法和想法。同时，请您在阅读之后，签上您的名字，以示收读;如果您有好的建议，更希望您抽出时间写下来，我会虚心、诚恳地接纳。

Dear Tom,

Im just writing to let you know that were all well, and I hope you are, too. Unfortunately, Ive got some rather bad news for you: Im afraid I made a bit of a mess of Johns car. Anyway, heres what happened.

We were on our way to Carols after a long party, and I suppose it must have been about eleven o’clock. Well, the last few miles back home were really dark and deserted. I now realize I was probably going a bit too fast for a country lane because, although the road was fairly straight, I drove up onto the curb and went into a tree.

Of course, John was absolutely furious and started shouting at me and cursing. After we d argued for a few moments, we decided to look at the damage, and he calmed down a bit. Well, we found we could move the car, but the wing was caught on the wheel, so we couldnt drive it. I tried to pull the wing clear, but I didnt succeed.

Anyway, John went off to phone for a breakdown lorry, but while he was away, I had another go at the wing and this time succeeded in pulling it right off. I threw it onto the back seat, and by that time John got back and we were ready to go?so we didnt need the breakdown lorry at all. John has more or less forgiven me now, but he was very angry with me for a few days. I suppose I was a bit careless.

Well, thats all for now. Next time I write I hope Ill have better news for you.

Since I was very small, my parents have sent me to learn many skills, such

as dancing and drawing, but I am not interested in them. I want to play tennis.

I tell my parents my real idea, then they respect me and let me do what I like.

Now I spend some time with my friends to play tennis when we have time. I feel

so happy.

Everybody has an idol in their heart, who will set the good example for

them. In my eyes, a good idol should bring the positive side to the public, so I

don’t mind whether they look pretty. My idol is the real hero. He works so hard

and never gives up. His persistence helps him to make the great achievement. I

should learn from him.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in

Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University.

After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in

Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a

two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

As a result of the publication in 2003 of my article in New Scientist

entitled "Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ", which was based on a survey of 37

patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital

and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and

advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the

acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

Despite their help, I feel that I cannot make real progress in this field

unless I can actually have day-to-day contact with these specialists. I would

therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH

as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study

in Britain for two years.

I enclose a detailed curriculum vitae and an offprint of my article,

together with two letters of recommendation from Dr. Li Ming and Dr. Ma Li.

Today, I saw the notice on the blackboard under the school, this week

Saturday for the mid-term examination. Mother wants me to Chinese more than 90

points in the mid-term exam, math more than 95 points, I was very nervous.

Because only three days, so I want to read quickly review unit of one to four in

the morning. Because I must surpass mother request!
