Suddenly, a strange thing took place, and he began to make use of something

that he wanted to try. After a short time, he came back from the basement with a

ruffled shovel in his hand. When it was time to finish the work that he was to

earn money, he smiled happily.

His work was to shovel snow for the other neighbors in the winter, because

most of the times when snow was very, very big; some of the house doors got

block, and they need to pay $100 for a builder to come and shovel the snow out

of way. But now the boy will help shovel the snow, and they need only to pay $10

in return. At first the boy was not good at it at all, but soon he got the use

of it, and earned lots of money. When it was time to use the money, he figured

that he didn’t have enough to pay for the grammar book that he wanted for

school. It was not that big of a deal of very much; but was not quite things of

time.

He kept on this work for 4 years, until he had finally got enough money to

buy the grammar. He was so very excited, that he jumped about in the room from

brick to brick. When he went to the store, he figured it was closed; all the

grammars are sold out, but in the other hand in opened because he shoveled the

snow away which let him get enough money to buy another grammar in another

store.

It was almost summer and the snow melted away, a statue of him was made up

in the town square where he lived; for making the snow disappear. He was also

the first in the class every morning, because he was willing to learn some

identities to learn grammar. He loved grammar. And when it was time for him to

head home and buy another harder one; he used the same plan just a little

better.

And when people saw his statue shimmering in the morning sunlight, they

would remember his gratitude for everybody in the town.

It was a “Magnificent” day; it was already beheld the shoveling day.

第五，蔡柏莹同学因病住院，后须提前回家，在病床上向老师履行请假手续，这是高度自觉纪律意识的体现。

本次运动会上，我班的同学更存在着许多值得注意并引起高度重视的问题：

第一，严重的非正常减员，到运动会结束，本班只剩下10人(全员22人)，他们分别是：女生徐颖怡、陈思朗、韦浩妍、郭淑琦、沈志妍、朱嘉仪，男生郭睿、赵力、刘晓奇、叶汇霖、吴浩睿。

其中，履行请假手续的有：赛前因病、因事请假的4人，陈碧珠、黄斯琪、陈昱夫、冯永聪;中间因病请假的1人，蔡柏莹。其余7人均未履行请假手续，其中赛前私自回家的1人，造成实质性旷课两天半;其他私自回家的，有的有比赛任务在身，有的有班干责任在身。

对于请假的、不请假的同学，我们都得有一个深刻的认识、深入地分析。

(一)请假的同学，有回家看病的，有因伤在家的，有回去办事的。这些同学的理由或原因，是不是及其必要的：比如有的同学可否到现场观看比赛?可否给学加油、服务?家长的请假，有没有受到孩子的影响?或者直白地说，有没有对到孩子的迁就?

(二)不请假私自回家的同学共有5人。这些同学，有请假未按时回校的，有放弃比赛任务的，有放弃班干管理岗位的。这对于任何一个管理者来说，都是极其不安甚至紧张的。紧张的是，学生不在老师管理的视线之内的人身安全;不安的是，学生对班级利益、责任的漠视与放弃，对家长不尽诚实的态度。

不用多说，大家也都明白，运动会期间也是上课时间，是学生学习和教育的一个组成部分，私自回家，就是变相的实质性的旷课。

第二，留在学校的个别同学，无故逗留宿舍，不能遵守纪律到达班级观看比赛的位置。

第三，最后留下的几名女生，弃权4*100M接力比赛，事前既不向老师汇报，广播多次点名时也不及时向检录出说明，显得无动于衷。

对于以上的表现，作为老师有很多值得检讨的地方，当然也有一些反思，且与各位家长交流。

第一，批准学生请假，有的是为尊重家长的意愿，有的是为顺应对学生的教育;但是不可否认，这也引发了一股请假潮，引发了一股回家潮，使得运动会在部分学生的心里变成可以回家休息的良机。作为老师我有处理不够成熟的地方，值得检讨。

第二，星期五下午我与指导老师约定：没有我批准的请假条，学生不得放行;家长前来接孩子的，也必须直接与我联系。但是，指导老师并没有严格执行。对此，我代指导老师检讨。

第三，从管理上说，放手是对学生的一种信任;从人格上说，信任对学生是一种尊重。这对于学生而言，却又是一种更高的要求，一种更高的自律的要求。

运动会期间，一同学对我讲了一则故事：一个老和尚，有几个徒弟，老和尚最疼爱的徒弟，反而在最后背叛了师门。这个故事对我是一个触动：信任，呵护，难道真的会带来相反的回报?我们的孩子难道真的享受不起家长、老师对自己的信任?难道我们的学生，就像成龙先生所说的那样，“中国人还是需要管起来的”?

这确实使我非常困惑：是继续放手和信任学生，还是就此收手，把学生严格地管起来?

但是，我们的学生都将是考入国外大学的，国外的大学更强调学生的自主、自律，更强调学生的自主意识、独立意识、团队意识、责任意识、参与意识、服务意识，如果严管不放，对这些意识没有一个积极养育的过程，没有通过这个过程促进学生自觉地养成这些意识，对于他们将来在国外大学的学习生活有利还是有弊呢?

虽然本学期我刚从中国部到国际部来，对国际教育的理念实践不够;但是，对于国际教育的理念还是比较熟悉的：我校引进国际教育项目的时候，我在学校从事教育科研，是参与的;后来也曾一起参观过国内的一些国际学校。因此，我坚信要让学生更好更快地融入国外大学，国内中学阶段的提前教育与准备是非常重要的;而学生的自我教育与养成，比老师的强制教育则更加重要。

更何况，履行必要的请假手续，对学生是最低的要求。作为高一学生，作为将来有志于就读国外大学的高一学生，有课就上课，有活动就参加活动，不迟到、不早退、不旷课，这样的起码要求都不能自觉做到，我的心里是很难过的。难道我们的学生只有到了外国学校让外国教师管，才可以或者才有必要自觉?而对国内学校和教师的管理，就不必太客气?

第四，这里也不得不讲一点我对家庭教育的认识。我的孩子已经大学毕业开始读研究生了。孩子一路走来，在家庭教育上虽然有成功的地方，也有很多遗憾之处。

家长与孩子，总有一根割不断的情感脐带，无论对于男孩还是女孩，总怕委屈了孩子，因而不免有所迁就，总是更多地满足孩子的需求，总想让孩子多待在自己的身边。

其实，天下所有的爱，都是为了聚合;而唯独母爱、父爱，却是为了分离，为了孩子的远走高飞。有这样第一个故事：小鹰开始长大一点的时候，鹰妈妈就会用自己的嘴巴咬小鹰，驱赶小鹰离开鸟巢。当小鹰从鸟巢里向下坠落的时候，正是小鹰振翅学飞的绝好机会。哪怕是有风，有雨，鹰妈妈也是如此的狠心;而这种狠心，对于小鹰来说，却是最大的母爱。因为，小鹰不能学会飞翔，不能学会在风雨中翱翔，那就只有饿死，或被更为凶猛的动物猎杀。

在家长会上我曾说过，将来的社会竞争必将激烈，而且将是近乎无性别化的竞争。因此，无论是男生还是女生，无论学生、家长愿意还是不愿意，孩子都将无法逃脱这种激烈的竞争。检讨自己，我在家庭教育上的遗憾就是，呵护、关爱有余，有时甚至有些迁就、溺爱，而放手、放胆锻炼不够。说实话，我现在还在对儿子进行补课。这对于一个父亲来说，心里也是很着急甚至痛楚的。我愿意将自己的遗憾或教训，作为一面镜子，供各位家长借鉴。

could not understand. I failed every math exam, my dad was very angry, he

2、注意孩子外出的交通安全。教育孩子外出时要遵守交通规则，注意礼让，养成良好的行为规范，孩子外出时必须有大人陪同。

3、防止台风等自然灾害。7、8月份是台风、暴雨多发期，在台风、暴雨等期间，教育并督促孩子不要独自外出，并教育孩子自救、自护等方法。

4、要加强消防安全的教育。在家不能玩火，要加强防电、防盗、防暴力、防抢劫等安全预防教育，提高孩子的防御能力和自卫能力。

5、养成正确上网习惯，关注孩子身心健康：每天收看电视节目、玩电脑智力小游戏总量不得超过2小时。教育子女不能上网吧等娱乐场所，告诫子女在家上网要有所节制，引导孩子自觉遵守青少年上网公约和守则(具体见附表)，并鼓励支持子女多参加有益的文娱、体育活动，让子女在假期中身心都得到健康发展。

6、鼓励孩子参加家务劳动、社区活动甚至打工：体贴父母的辛劳，坚持每天做力所能及的家务。

二、为孩子创设良好的学习环境，督促孩子按时完成暑假作业。

1、认真完成作业：指导孩子制定一个合理的学习计划，有步骤地认真地完成各科暑假作业，不突击、不拖拉、不抄袭，做到干净、整洁。家长每天及时检查作业情况，并给以鼓励。

2、多看有益书籍：每天坚持阅读课外书。并督促孩子坚持积累好词、好句、好段，提高语言的表达能力。

3、关心国家大事:每天能通过电视、网络等渠道了解国内外大事，查阅学习资料，养成每天收听、收看时事新闻的好习惯。

4、家长自身不要参与，迷信等活动，说文明话，做文明事。尽量抽时间陪陪孩子，孩子白天一个人在家，晚上千万不要再冷落孩子，给孩子创设一个清静、安逸、向上的生活、学习环境。

5、让孩子在暑假期间，积极参加社会实践活动，接触社会，服务社会，家长有机会多带孩子外出走走，增长见识;从培养孩子的兴趣特长出发，为孩子提供学习和表现的机会，培养孩子“学科学、用科学”的兴趣，如可与孩子一起开展水质调查小实验、调查周围水资源环境或开展节约用水调查，撰写科学小论文。

暑假对孩子来讲是一段丰富多彩的时光，如果我们能帮助孩子合理地安排它，将使他们在健康成长中获得无穷的欢乐。让孩子以崭新的面貌迎接新学期的到来!

8月31日学生报到，老师检查暑假作业后即可接回;一年级新生报到时间另行通知。

For some reasons, I never get up before nine oclock on Saturdays.

Sometimes I stay in bed until lunch time. Then Ill do some exercises, read

English, play computer games. In the afternoon, I go to school for writing and

playing table tennis. I play table tennis well. In the evening, I go to the

teachers home to play Chinese chess, I like it.

What an interesting day!

Laba rice porridge was first introduced to China in the Song Dynasty about

900 years ago.

Buddhism was well accepted in the areas inhabited by the Han Chinese， who

believed that Sakyamuni the first Buddha and founder of the religion， attained

enlightenment on the eighth day of the twelfth month. Sutras were chanted in the

temples and rice porridge with beans， nuts and dried fruit was prepared for the

Buddha. With the passing of time the custom extended， especially in rural areas

where peasants would pray for a plentiful harvest in this way.

There is， however， another touching story： When Sakyamuni was on his way

into the high mountains in his quest for understanding and enlightenment， he

grew tired and hungry. Exhausted from days of walking， he fainted away by a

river in India. A shepherdess found him there and fed him her lunch -- porridge

made with beans and rice. Sakyamuni was thus able to continue his journey.

一个学期的学习也是要告一段落了，这一学期我相信您的孩子也是在学校里面有他的收获，而这个假期的到来，也是希望学生可以继续的去努力，有所收获，有所的成长，而在暑假里面，也是需要家长的一个监督，才能更好的让孩子愉快的度过这个假期，同时也是有所进步。

首先学习方面不能松懈，老师们也是给学生布置了假期的作业，可能和在学校相比没有那么的多，但是也是希望学生们不落下学习，同时也是要为下一个学期的学习而去做好准备，并且在学习之中也是要更加的自主自觉一些，特别是假期那么长，不能太过于懒散，这些也是需要家长们去提醒，去做好监督，同时也是希望学生能在家里去看看自己感兴趣的书籍，去培养自己的兴趣，不能只把假期花在玩乐方面。

安全问题也是要重视起来，在假期里面，也是和学校的环境是不一样的，学生也是会出去玩，而这一方面也是希望家长清楚孩子们是去哪里，一些安全方面的知识要给孩子去讲解，让他们了解安全的一个重要性，不能去危险的地方玩水，不要去一些不合适未成年玩的地方，同时在外也是要注意安全，无论是个人的安全，或者身处的地方的，都是需要考虑到这些方面。特别是外出的交通安全要重视，不要横穿马路，不能不遵守交通的规则。也是要尽量避免去车流多的地段玩耍。夏季的气温也是全年最高的，细菌的繁殖比较的快，而食物的安全问题，家长们也是需要去重视，避免吃到不干净的食物，或者一时贪图享受，吃太多冷饮或者对健康无益的食物。

学生养成好的习惯，不能在假期松懈下来，像早起，每日的学习，运动，这些好的习惯要在假期请家长们也是督促孩子去做好，一个好的习惯养成并不是那么的容易，但是松懈下来却是非常的轻松，而假期也是有这样的条件，我们老师也是知道家长们平时也是忙碌于工作，但是必要的监督，以及一些事情也是要多和孩子们讲好。

假期也是即将来临，孩子们也是可以短暂的放下学业，去好好的玩耍，去休息好，但同时每日必要的学习和习惯也是要继续做好，也是希望家长们做好监督的职责，同时也是希望孩子们这个暑假过的开心，有意义。
