One night Mr Lee was driving his wife home from work. She was a nurse in a

hospital. It was almost midnight and she was quite tired out. She soon fell

asleep. Mr Lee looked at her and smiled.

Mr Lee was a careful and experienced driver. He knew it was safer to drive

slowly on a dark night. After some time he noticed a car following him. It was

travelling very fast. Suddenly it overtook his car.

The driver of the car was in a hurry. He did not see the approaching lorry.

To avoid hitting it, he suddenly tuned his car. It skidded off the road and hit

a big tree. The driver and his passenger were injured.They were badly cut by

glass from the broken windscreen.Mr Lee quickly stopped his car by the side of

the road. His wife got out of the car to help the injured. The lorry driver also

stopped to help. Mr Lee drove off to telephone the police . About twenty-five

minutes later, a police car and an ambulance arrived. The injured were carried

into the ambulance and taken to hospital.

The policemen took down details of the accident. Mr Lee and the lorry

driver told them all they could remember. The policemen thanked them for their

help. Mr and Mrs Lee got into their car and continued their journey home.

It is summer vacation and school is out. During summer vacation, most children stay home, watch TV and play with their friends. Some take part in a neighborhood sports program and some go camping. A camp is summer vacation place for children. They can go swimming, mountain climbing or boating. Now, there are computer camps. At this camp, children learn how to use computers, which is very important today. Most children enjoy playing computer games. 暑假里，我的舞蹈班组织去大连参赛，我们来到大连，比赛后，我们得了第一名的好成绩。为了庆祝我们取得了好成绩，老师带我们去海边玩耍。

来到海边，“哇”我不由自主的赞叹道，海是那么宽广，怪不得人们都说世界上最宽广的就是海。海水深绿深绿的，望眼放去，像翡翠一样，太阳照在海面，闪着亮光，海滩上的沙土地上有许多五彩缤纷的小石头，我真想一下子都把它带回家。风吹过来，海面上浪起层层浪花，美丽极了!

我和同学飞快地跑到海边上，就被那层层浪花冲倒在地，我们赶站起来拿起游泳圈跑到海水最浅的地方玩耍。有的男孩子拿着水枪“打”我们女生，我们被“打”得措手不及，因为男生“打”我们女生，我们女生也报复他们，悄悄地用水泼他们，你泼泼我，我泼泼你，玩得可开心了!还有的同学在海滩上晒太阳，伙伴们见他们没有去玩，就用些沙子洒在他们身上，害得他们全身是沙子......连老师都被我们欢笑声给感染了，也不禁放下了矜持，大笑起来。

在欢声笑语的一天中，时间飞快地就过去了，太阳慢慢地向西边落下，我们也带着玩耍后的笑声中回到宿舍。

多么开心的暑假呀!多么有趣的一天呀!在这次暑假，我们玩得可开心了，可快乐了!

暑假在悄然之间已然到来，快乐的暑假生活也来到了

我在暑假里去了很多地方，其中最使我记忆深刻的是去山海关和长城的起点——老龙头。

我们全家来到了山海关景区。刚一进景区，就看见了一座大城门，城门上有两个大字——迎旭进去之后，看见了一个牌楼，名叫“进士坊”。再往前走，就又能看见一个牌楼，写着“维藩首善”四个字。就在这牌楼的后面就是我们期盼已久的“天下第一关”——山海关。我仰望着山海关，眼前是雄伟壮观的城楼。宽大的城门，足有七八米高;再往上是高大而结实的城墙，给人一种磅礴的气势;城墙的上面则是一个两层的阁楼，上面是红色的，下面是灰色的，再衬托着蓝色的天空，更显现出山海关雄伟的气势。我看着这些，心中不禁赞叹道：我国古代人民是多么伟大呀!

之后，我们又驱车来到了老龙头——长城的起点。沿着海边的沙滩小路，我们先来到了一个叫“海神庙”的水上建筑，门前是一条石路。我怀着好奇的心情走进海神庙。进去正对着有两只神兽，两边是攀着石雕的栏柱，后面是一座很高的宫殿，名叫“天后宫”，让人觉得这里很有灵气。

出了海神庙，我又怀着激动的心情，爬上了老龙头的城墙。刚一上去，就看见了一个阁楼，阁楼的牌匾上写着“澄海楼”三个字。出了澄海楼，就看见了一尊大炮。它伫立在那里，跑口对准了防御的地方，让我不由得想象出当年那些守卫边疆的战士门，舍弃自己的生命，用他们自己的血肉，保卫祖国的情景。

后来，我望着老龙头的龙头那一座塔楼，虽然他不大，但在我的心中却十分高大。我走到塔楼的里面，望着大海，心情是无比的兴奋，我看到了历史，也看到了未来。

我好开心啊!2个月的暑假来到了，心想：这下可以无忧无虑的玩儿了，可以出去旅游了!但是，我转念一想，暑假有两个月，妈妈前几天还说要给我报班呢。一想到这，我的精神头就减了一半，只好耐心的等着妈妈的安排了。

从放假的第一天，我就开始上着妈妈给我报的“补习班”。天天都要上课，早上起的很早，晚上也回来的很晚。刚开始上几天，我一直吃不消，心想：天天都这么累，还要放假干什么呀!要不然我不上了吧。可是，上课虽然累点儿，可还是对我有帮助的。我坚定地对自己说：“不要怕，咬咬牙，坚持过去，不就是一个月嘛。”随后半个多月，我把上课当做一种乐趣。上课认真听讲，回家来除了写暑假作业，我还提前预习，这样，七月份很快被我用掉了。我自己认为：这个七月份很有意义，我过的很充实、快乐。如果我当初放弃了，我也许会碌碌无为一个月，一个月的美好时光就会被白白丢弃。我很庆幸当初自己选择了“坚持”这条阳光大道，这一个月，是坚持让我硕果累累;是坚持让我满载而归。

因为我七月份表现的很好，作业也完成了，所以妈妈奖励我去泰山旅游。

那天，我们一家三口坐火车到泰山游玩，好高的山啊，我和爸爸爬得很快，只有妈妈体力不够，落在我的后边很远的地方，我就跑上跑下的，就像一个撒了欢的小兔子一样兴奋。就这样，我们一边吃，一边爬，一边赏着美景，手中的好吃的越来越少，可是垃圾越来越多。转眼快到“五岳至尊”的地方了，看到有一面峭壁上写了很多的大字，好漂亮的字啊!我一边说着一边朝着那些大字跑过去!心里那个高兴劲就别提了!欣赏完了书法后，我坐在城墙边休息，还是吃着水果，那个高兴劲就别提了。一不小心，就把垃圾袋调到墙外边去了。我心想，反正也不是在路上，就别管了吧，看到墙外边就是陡峭的悬崖，心想我一定要小心!就离开了那里，走出不远，我越想就心里越感觉不是滋味，要是大家都和我一样，把垃圾掉到墙外边，岂不是垃圾就比城墙高了?想到这里，我马上往后跑，就在这时，我看到了感人的一幕：一个外国的大姐姐正拿着我的垃圾袋朝我们走来，我的脸一下子红了!外国姐姐的环保意识真好啊!我与她相比真是逊色了。这个时候爸爸妈妈都走过来了，妈妈不好意思的走到外国姐姐的跟前，接过我们的垃圾袋，不知道该怎么和她解释……我发誓我以后一定要做一个环保的小卫士。

在山中要走很多的路，虽然我感到很疲惫，但我还是坚持了。因为我们做了一件很丢脸的事情!经过了当天那感人的一幕，我的心灵得到了一次彻底的洗涤。

也就是从那一天起，不管在什么时候，什么地点，只要我看见有垃圾，我都会主动的弯腰捡起来，只要我看见有乱扔垃圾的人或事，我都会去进行劝说，让我们的社会多一些和谐的因素。我因此也受到了老师和同学们的好评，这其中的原因只有我自己最清楚。

所以我觉得，有时候一件事情就能改变一个人的一生，我希望每一名同学都能够做一个对社会有用的人，做一个道德高尚的人!
