How to Learn English Well

English is one of the most important subjects in middle school.  Almost everyone knows that we should learn English well, but few of us know how to learn it well. 上午我们在高速公路上开车行驶经过河南省的最后一个县邓州，进入湖北省界，匆匆午饭后，马不停蹄往前赶。

正当我感觉坐车太别无聊的时候。爸爸忽然喊道，快看，我们进入恩施大山地界了，我急忙齐声隔着车窗向外望去，一座座连绵起伏的山脉随身而过，山上的绿树郁郁葱葱，太漂亮了，忽然感觉眼前光线一暗，我说:爸爸，怎么这么黑了。爸爸笑着说：闺女，是告诉公路穿越隧道了，高速公路为了大家行走快捷方便，从大山中挖出一条隧道，就不用大家再走盘山路，会节省很多的时间和路程。

就这样我们一连钻了大约有10几个隧道，有长有短，最长的那一段有14800米长，换算下来14.8公里长呢，修路的工人叔叔们真是伟大啊！从一座座大山中开出那么多条隧道，方便大家出行，真的很了不起，值得我们致敬啊!

不知不觉我们在连绵的群山高速路上中走了很久，太阳慢慢要落山了，阳光越来越柔和，天上的云慢慢的变成了淡红色，我们的车行驶在落日下的山林中，像是在画中行走，太美了!

晚上8点多，终于到了恩施市，已经是灯火辉煌，我们赶紧去找宾馆休息，爸爸说今天的行程1150公里,坐车坐的好累，不过爸爸开了一天肯定更累，一会我给他敲敲背，让他轻松一下。虽然都很累，不过大家的脸上都洋溢着幸福的笑容！

其次，通过查词典可以了解字词的意思。一个字或一个词也许有两种意思，也许有三种意思。比如还是这个“靡”字的读音有两种。分别是mi(二声)和mi(三声)。读二声时词义是“浪费”，读三声时词义是“无，没有”和“倒下”。在“风靡”一词中，是选择“倒下”这个意思。

还有，通过查词典可以了解到，一字可以用很多词表示。就拿“看”这个字来说，可以用:瞻视、斜视、蔑视、环顾、凝望、轻视、偷瞄、仰望、虎视眈眈等来详细表示。同样关于“手”，却能表示许多动作，如:拉、提、弹、捉、摸、抄、掀、拿、放、抽、揍、夹、擦、探等字。这些都可以用在写作里，提高作文水平。
