Dear Sir,

with a bachelors degree in International Business. As part of my career

planning, I am very interested in supplementing my international business

education with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language. This I hope will help

今天妈妈说要给我做好吃的饺子，我高兴地手舞足蹈，对着妈妈又亲又吻。对于我这个“小吃货”来说，这可是最好的奖赏。说实在的，尽管上周刚吃过饺子，可感觉有好几个月都没吃了呢。看着妈妈准备好的饺子馅儿，我的口水都要流出来了，瞧，我这个“小吃货”，见了饺子就像小兔子见了好吃的胡萝卜似的。

看着妈妈慢悠悠的包着饺子，我急得像热锅上的蚂蚁，急急忙忙洗了洗手，也帮着包了起来。我首先把饺子皮放在手心里，然后用筷子夹起陷儿放在饺子皮中央，接着用手将饺子皮重叠两次，最后再捏紧，就做成了一个像金元宝似的饺子。就这样，一个、两个、三个……

不一会儿，我和妈妈就包了几十个饺子，它们整整齐齐地排在盘子里，像一个个等待检阅的士兵。不过，在这士兵队伍里，我包的饺子长得似乎很是显眼，也许、可能、因为它们都不太漂亮。

饺子包好了，妈妈立刻烧水煮饺子，水开了之后，妈妈就小心翼翼地把一个个肉嘟嘟的饺子“请”进了锅，盖上锅盖，大约十分钟左右，妈妈揭开锅盖，香味顿时布满了整个厨房，饺子们像一只只“小白鸭”在水中翻滚着，那热气腾腾的场景让我馋得直咽口水。

饺子煮好了，妈妈将中间的饺子用汤勺捞起来盛到我碗里，然后递给了我，我拿起筷子，迫不及待地夹了一个放进嘴里，没想到……我大叫了一声“啊”，这一声尖叫连鸟儿都吓得从树上飞走了，妈妈惊住了，连忙问“怎么了，哪里不舒服吗？”我露出舌头说“饺——子——太——烫——了！”说完，妈妈不禁大笑起来。这时，我才体会到了这一句话：心急吃不了热豆腐。

过来一会儿，舌头感觉不那么痛了，我这个“小吃货”又跑到厨房里“偷”吃了。这下，我可不比之前，我先用吹吹，让饺子降温，我一口咬下去，两眼直放光，回味似的说“啊，真的太——太——太好吃了！”

这一次，虽然我包的饺子长相不真么样，有点甚至还露出了“将军肚”，但我依然很开心，因为我用双手做出来了美丽的饺子，我也去切切实实地感受到了劳动的快乐。

等她们和好馅，我还是加入了包饺子的队伍当中。今年我们往饺子里放了硬币和花生，放硬币寓意在新的一年赚到更多钱，放花生寓意长命百岁。知道这些，我更加急不可耐地动手了。我用自己的方式来包饺子，包得像烧卖一样。姥姥取笑我：“你往你包的獨门饺子里放钱，太好认了。这样不是作弊吗？”但我还是往“烧卖”里放硬币，心想：一下子就能吃到硬币多好啊。我又往正常形状的饺子里放了两颗花生，不过放完就后悔了，我还是应该往“烧卖”里放才容易吃到嘛。

煮好饺子就开饭了。本来我只想吃十多个饺子，可为了吃到硬币，我吃了二十多个饺子，都吃撑了！“嘎嘣”“嘎嘣”，我吃到了四个硬币，而大姨夫吃了三盘饺子，收获了九个硬币，运气也太好了吧，他在新年一定会赚到很多钱！我好羡慕他，真想偷偷把他的硬币拿走，但好运气是偷不走的，还是算了。

我还幸运地吃到了花生，这不是意味着新年我会有钱花，而且以后还会长命百岁嘛，开心！

我爱包饺子，也爱吃饺子，更爱吃包着硬币和花生的饺子！

“白色的皮，五彩颜色的馅。”你知道这是什么吗？哈哈，它就是营养又健康的饺子。

我在碗里放了些水之后，将面粉放进盆里面，我越搅拌越像白色的水，妈妈走过来告诉我：“你的水放太多了，面粉放少了。”于是我把面粉多放了点进去，果然面团大功告成。我将它搓成椭圆形，切成小块，一个一个摁扁，堆在一起。我拿起一些韭菜馅儿和一堆饺子皮，用筷子夹了一点馅儿放在里面对折，我学着妈妈的样子捏了起来。我将左手捏好，右边的馅儿又出来了；右边补起来，左边的馅儿又出来了，无奈之下只好去掉了一点馅儿。我一开始包的形状各异，妈妈看着我这个样子，拿了一个饺子皮教我，教完还会问：“你学会了吗？”我点了点头，终于一个完美的饺子包好了，但是没有妈妈包的好，果然只要功夫深，铁棒磨成针，妈妈最后还是奖励了我！

妈妈煮了那一盘的饺子，说我包的真好吃！我听到了妈妈的夸奖，笑的合不拢嘴，心里乐开了一朵美丽的花。

Recently，hazy weather has become commonin China. People wear masks to avoid

poisonous air. Emissionproduced from factories and cars is the main source. The

smog surely hasnegative effects on peoples health especially that of

thechildren and the elderly .But how to deal with it?

First， the government should perfect laws to punish those factories

thatignore the protection. And businessmen must pay more attention to

theenvironment instead of money. Second， green commuting and alow-carbon life

are supposed to be called for. Third，we should develop green and energy-saving

energy to lower theemission of haze.

If we work together，our environmentwill get better and better and haze

weather will disappear completely.

我兴致勃勃的和妈妈来到了育乐湾，育乐湾里的体验项目真多呀！今天我在金龙鱼美食馆里当了一回小厨师，任务是包饺子。

美食馆里的老师先教我们和面，为了让饺子的颜色更漂亮，老师把五种颜色的水放在桌子上，老师告诉我们：“水里面加了色素，所以不建议食用，但我们在家里可以加胡萝汁、菠菜汁等代替，这样和出来的面又好看又营养。”接着我和妈妈跟着老师的步骤开始和面。

妈妈回来，见我这样，了解事情的经过，二话没说，奖励我一个大拇指和一个棒棒糖。

星期六的下午，小桔灯的薯条老师让我们包饺子，老师把我们分成六组，每组七人。

我们准备好了工具和材料，就开始包饺子了。我心想不就是包饺子吗？小菜一碟。我迫不及待地拿起一张面皮，用筷子往面皮里放好馅，不知道为什么，我拿面皮的手却怎么也不听使唤，饺子在我手里不是这边漏了，就是那边破了，我连忙又拿了一张面皮铺在上面。才包好了一个饺子。后来，我看别人怎么包的，练习了几次才包的很好了。

大年三十中午，我来到大爸家。

经过两个小时的旅程，我已经身心俱疲了。幸好，大妈准备了一桌香喷喷的饭菜，我饥不择食地吃完了午饭。

年夜饭的第一道大菜是饺子。只见大妈提来了一大袋面粉，系起围裙，准备“放大招”啦！大妈先将桌子收拾干净，走入厨房，拿出一个大碗盆，舀起一勺面粉，倒入盆中。大妈再走入厨房，和点水在碗里，挽起袖子，使劲地揉面。

我站在一旁看了一会，对大妈说：“我也要来！”

“去把围裙系上。”大妈一边揉面，一边对我说。

我快速跑进厨房，拿起围裙，三两下就系好了。于是，我对大妈喊道：“系好了，系好了，我也要来！”

大妈给了我一个碗，从她盆中的面团里扯了一团给我，放入碗中，说：“快点揉，用点力哦！”

我自作主张地舀了一勺面粉，倒入碗中，又偷偷加了点水。做完之后，我又装作若无其事地继续揉面。

妈妈和奶奶在做馅儿，我和大妈在揉面，而爸爸则在一旁观看。

过了一会儿，我揉得手酸极了，便问大妈：“大妈，你看我揉得怎么样？”

“还需要再揉下，得让面劲道点！”大妈一本正经地对我说。

“什么？还要揉？”我已经快崩溃了。

“你看我这面，”我捏了捏面团，觉得很劲道呀！于是对大妈说，“应该够了吧？”

“还差得远呢！”大妈的话让我彻底崩溃了。

“爸爸，快来揉面！”我叫醒在一旁看着看着就睡着了的爸爸。

“什么事？”爸爸惊醒了。

“快来揉面！”我对爸爸说。

“你不揉了？”爸爸疑惑地问我。

“不揉了，手都揉酸了！”我无精打采地说。

“好吧！”爸爸一边系围裙，一边走了过来。

“我上去了？”我准备好了起跑的动作。

“上去吧！”爸爸话音未落，我便冲上了楼。

不知不觉，夜幕已经降临，吃年夜饭的时间到了。

“开饭了！”大妈一边端着菜，一边喊道。

年夜饭美味极了，尤其是香喷喷的饺子。我们一家人坐在月光下品尝着自己的劳动成果，有说有笑，享受极了……

周六中午，妈妈决定给我做饺子吃。我可爱吃饺子了，能吃一大盘。既然爱吃，就得学会做，于是我兴奋的来到厨房，戴上围裙，和妈妈一起做饺子。

我站在妈妈旁边，目不转睛的看着妈妈切肉。当妈妈把切成块的肉放进绞肉机时，却发现机器不能运作了，没办法妈妈只好把肉块拿出来准备手工剁肉馅。“妈妈，这个简单，我来剁吧！”我自告奋勇，揽过了剁肉馅的活儿。等我剁好肉馅，在妈妈的帮助下调好料，已是满头大汗，原来剁肉馅也是件力气活呀！

终于可以包饺子了。我拿起一张妈妈擀好的面皮，将一块儿馅放在面皮上，然后将面皮对折，却一不小心把一小块馅掉在了地上，整得手忙脚乱的。我赶紧收拾完地上的肉馅，继续开始包饺子。我两手使劲一捏，饺子却破了一个大洞，肉馅也被挤得掉了出来，只剩下一丁点还在饺子皮里。我赶紧再拿起一张面皮贴在“洞口”上，又往里面加了馅，用手一捏，“伤口”又裂开了，于是我再拿起一张面皮贴在新的“伤口”上，就这样一个患了“肥胖症”的“手术患者”诞生了。我用力把饺子一扔，生气的说“麻烦死了，我不包了！”

这时，妈妈看到了，耐心地对我说：“孩子，做什么事都要有一点耐心，不要过于急躁。我来告诉你包饺子的诀窍：不要放太多的肉馅，封口时捏的不能太用力，你看，要像我这样捏。来，我再给你演示一遍。”看着妈妈聚精会神的样子，我心想：看来做什么事都要有耐心。我学着妈妈的样子竟然也包出了几个十分漂亮的饺子。

最后，我终于美美地吃了一顿饺子大餐。今天我不仅学会了包饺子，还懂得了一个道理:做什么事都要有耐心，世上无难事只怕有心人!

Dear Mr. Wang,

Thank you for taking the time to write your wonderful letter in support of MCEA (Maywood Chinese Education Association). Your letter clearly articulates all the major reasons children in Maywood will benefit from studying the Chinese language as part of their elementary school education. It provides invaluable support that will help making bilingual Chinese education a reality in Maywood public schools.

Although MCEA would like to see Palo Alto public schools implement the first bilingual Chinese kindergarten class in September of 2006, we have learned that the school district must take the time to understand how a new program will affect existing educational offerings, and to validate community interest. Nevertheless, MCEA, with more than 70 members, will continue to actively promote bilingual Chinese education in the Palo Alto public schools and will keep you apprised of the progress we make.

我们把面皮摆好，把肉馅装进一个大碗里，再加上姜汁水、鸡蛋、豆粉、盐、味精等调料，和弄搅拌均匀后就可以包饺子了。一开始包饺子，我的手很僵硬，包出的饺子样子也很难看，奇形怪状的，没有一个像饺子。我再看妈妈包的很美观，饺子的肚子鼓鼓的，那是里面装有肉馅的缘故，而饺子的边就像一朵朵漂亮的鸡冠花，可漂亮啦!于是，我向妈妈请教了一翻，妈妈微笑着对我说：“这肉馅不一定包太多，不然肉馅露出了来既浪费，包出来的饺子也不好看，还有在捏的时候只需用六根手指，两根中指顶在皮下，拇指和二指在两边稍微一捏就可以了。”我试着用妈妈教我的方法包出的饺子真的好看多了，也有模有样了。可还是没有妈妈包的饺子好看。我问妈妈为什么?妈妈说：“不着急慢慢学，包的多了，有经验了包出的饺子就会好看，没有谁是一下子就会包出漂亮的饺子。”听了妈妈的话我点了点头，有开始认真地包起饺子来。饺子包好了，我数了数，我一共包了25个，可妈妈包的比我的4倍还多呢。哎!我包饺子的速度也太慢了吧，以后还要勤加练习。之后，我还把我包的饺子亲手煮来吃了呢。我吃着自己包的饺子和煮的饺子，心里很开心。

原来包饺子也是很有趣的事，我也从中明白做任何事情也是要勤加练习，循序渐进的才能把事情做好。

大年三十那天，我们一家人坐在一起高高兴兴地吃年夜饭，当然年夜饭中也有我的杰作，那就是过年吃饭必不可少的美食——饺子。

下午四点多，奶奶就在厨房开始忙活起来：准备饺子馅、擀饺子皮。我看着奶奶忙碌的身影，便想去帮帮她。我飞快地走进厨房，对奶奶说：“奶奶，让我来帮帮你吧。”可谁知，奶奶看也没看我一眼，背对着我一边干活，一边说：“去去去，一边玩去，你在这不捣乱就好了，该干嘛干嘛去。”我不依不饶，继续缠着奶奶：“奶奶，你看我这么聪明，你只要稍微教我一下，我就学会了，而且干起活来还很麻利呢!”奶奶回头看了看我，说：“那好吧，不过包饺子可不是件容易的事，你确定要帮我?”我点点头，然后洗了洗手，准备包饺子。

奶奶做起了我的师傅，首先教我如何擀饺子皮。这动作看起来简单，要做起来还真是有一些难度呢!奶奶擀出来的饺子皮又圆又大，还中间厚两边薄呢!真是让我羡慕。但那一系列的动作，在我手里就僵化了，擀出来的饺子皮又薄又长，奶奶说：“这样的饺子皮下到锅里就会破的。”我并不灰心，继续练习，可擀出来的饺子皮不是太薄就是太厚。我泄气了，两手一摊，坐在了凳子上。奶奶似乎看出了我的心思，便开始手把手地教我。虽然觉得还不太顺手，但比刚开始好多了，成功的动力让我的兴趣大增。经过我的一番努力，我的水平便大有增长。

接下来该包饺子了。我左手托着-，右手拿着筷子，夹了一些馅儿放在-上。接着我把-合起来，一捏，手感觉粘糊糊的。不好，馅儿从左边冒出来，我赶紧拿一张-贴在左面，用手捏紧。我刚要捏右边，糟了，馅儿又从右边露了出来，我立即又拿了一张-贴在右边，补上了缺口。唉，我费了九年二虎之力，一共用了三张-总算包了个特大号的饺子。我把它放在面板上，可它却像个懒汉似的趴着不起来。我只好对它采取“暴力”——用两根手指把它使劲地按了一下，它无可奈何地“坐”了起来。嗬!还是个挺着“大将军肚”的饺子，滑稽极了!逗得爷爷奶奶哈哈大笑，我也不好意思地笑了。然后，我开始包第二个饺子，这回我可吸取教训了。我只放了一点点馅，可包完后一看，饺子肚子扁扁的，完全是个典型的“瘪三”。紧接着，我又开始包第三个饺子，这次我放的馅既不多也不少，手忙脚乱地把饺子皮猛捏在一起，一个“丑小鸭”便诞生了。看着丑小鸭，我暗下决心，这次可千万不能再出什么差错了，一定要包一只像模像样的饺子。我拿着-，小心翼翼地夹馅、合皮、捏啊捏……终于，在我的努力下，“丑小鸭”变成了“天鹅”!我的杰作赢得了家人的赞赏。

午时12点，新年的钟声敲响，我们又迎来了新的一年——20--年。奶奶端出一盘盘香喷喷的饺子，我们大家边吃饺子，边看春晚，别提有多高兴了。

时间过得真快，一晃又是新的一年。在新的一年里，相信我会通过努力换取更多的收获。

Many classmates ask me about my plan for summer holiday. How I wish I could have a colorful and fruitful holiday, so I have decided to do a part-time job during the summer vacation. On the one hand, I can earn some pocket money by doing a part-time job. I can spend them freely, because they are earned by myself. I like travelling on may own not only because it costs much less but because it gives a great degree of independence and freedom. Travelling on my own， I’m my own boss； and can decide when to start on my way， where to linger a little longer and which spot can be skipped over to save energy or time for another spot. I can always adjust my plan. On the contrary， in a package tour you‘re deprived of as much freedom as in a military base. At the sound of the whistle， you have to jump up from a sound sleep and， with heavy-lidded eyes， hurry to the gathering place where you are collected and counted to board a coach. At the sight of the little flag waving， you must immediately take yourself away from the scenes you are marveling at and follow the guide whose sole interest is to cover all spots according to him strict schedule， regardless of the weather or your health condition.

True，you may encounter inconveniences if you travel inpidually，for instance， getting accommodations for the night and finding a place for meals. But nothing can be compared with the freedom which is vital to a person who takes a holiday trip mainly to escape from constraints of his routine life.
