There were special sales with discount coupons and instant lucky draws and various sales promotions in nearly every big store to lure po tential customers into spending more. Crowds of shoppers flocked towards department stores, enjoying their high purchasing power.

There were traffic jams almost everywhere, people waited in long queues at bus-stops:and taxi-stands? looking entirely exhausted.Tempers flared when people gotpushed or if someone else cut the queue.Impatient drivers honked at each other every now and then.

The railway station was congested with travelers who rushed to the platform like a swarm of bees and then squeezed their way into the train for seats as if there would be no tomorrow.

In the restaurants, tables were shared. A platoon of waiters filed out from the kitchen armed with various containers of eatables. Orders were taken feverishly and then shouted across to the kitchen. Excitement reigned everywhere as waiters ran hither and thither to fill the orders.

傍晚时分，我们准备回家了，爸爸告诉我们要保持沙滩的清洁，于是我和爸爸妈妈一起清理海边的垃圾，不远处，叔叔阿姨和一些小朋友也在清理，最后，我们高高兴兴地离开小梅沙海滩，这个五一劳动节过得真有意义!

今天是“劳动节”，可是爸爸妈妈没有休息，都去上班了。

我一个人在家里，心想妈妈上班那么辛苦，我帮她做点家务吧!于是我拿起扫帚开始打扫卫生，没多久我就把地面扫干净了。太阳公公照到了阳台上，我把洗过的鞋子摆到阳光晒过的地方。

妈妈下班回来了，看到这一切，摸摸我的头笑着对我说：“你又长大了。”

五一天气可真好呀！妈妈就约姑婆一起去高新区玩。一到站我就对妈妈说：“今天我们去水上公园玩吧。”妈妈同意了。我们走了很远很远，但是仍然没走到地方，就只好继续走，花了差不多半小时才走到。

我看见许多人在划船，就跟妈妈说：“要不我们也租一条船划一会儿吧？”于是我们来到了售票亭，卖票的阿姨说30元划半小时，我们就买了票。可是人多船少，就只好坐那里等着，等了好长时间，终于轮到我们了。

我迫不及待的上了船，发现船上有两个踏板和一个方向盘，踏板是用来划船的，方向盘是用来控制方向的。我和妈妈一人踩一个踏板，在水面上慢慢的行使着。一转眼就过了10分钟，我和妈妈一直在费力的踩着踏板，可速度一直是那么慢，20分钟又过去了，我总觉得划船的半小时过的真快呀，30分钟很快就到了，我们急忙把船使到了岸边，然后依依不舍的离开了。

国庆节到了，但是老师不允许我们出去玩，我只好待在家里。首先把假期作业做完，然后复习一下功课，看看电视，没事的时候帮妈妈做做事。这就是我的假期。

The national day holiday has come. Our teacher does not permit us to go out and play, so I have to stay at home. I had my homework done and went on with a revision first, then watched TV and helped my mum with the housework from time to time. that is my holiday.

五一劳动节来了，我们全家动员进行了一次“大扫除”。

首先，爸爸给我们分工：他去擦窗户和桌椅;妈妈负责整理房间;而我的任务就是把家里的小垃圾清除掉。分完工后，大家就埋头苦干起来了。

我想还是先扫地吧。于是，我拿着扫把走进了房间。哎，房间里的垃圾也太多了，我都有些忙不过来了。这时我才明白，这份苦差事不好做呀。扫完了地我又去刮泡泡糖。我走进客厅，角落里有一块大大的泡泡糖渣。咦?小刀呢?我四处找也找不到小刀，便用自己的指甲刮了起来，只听“咔嚓”一声，泡泡糖没刮下来，指甲却没了，真让人哭笑不得。

爸爸这个指挥官可好玩了!他把我和妈妈呼来唤去，我和妈妈都忙不过来了，爸爸还在一个劲地叫：“这里有垃圾，那里有垃圾，你们快来捡，哈哈哈!”我和妈妈已累得满头大汗。谁知，爸爸又命我单枪匹马去洗卫生间。我来到卫生间，一边整理卫生间里的物品，一边欢快地唱着歌。然后关上门，把水龙头打开，想用水冲洗整个卫生间，没有想到自己却变成了一只落汤鸡，爸爸和妈妈见了，都捧腹大笑起来。

大扫除就在这开心快乐的时刻结束了，望着我们自己打扫的房间，大家心里都美滋滋的。
