After a long cold winter when I have rarely been out on my bike, the weather has finally turned warmer and even sunny occasionally. Yesterday I had a surprise call from Tom suggesting we turn out for a short ride. This being my intention anyway I gladly agreed and we met up at Jiedaokou Station at about ten o’clock.

As Tom has a permanent Sunday Lunch appointment at 12-30pm we opted to make a round trip to Hannan . The weather was cloudy but dry and as we were both a bit out of condition after a long winter lay off we took the easy option of taking the train to Shiyan to get us on top of the ridge with an easy start for the trip.

A long coast down to Jiangtan and straight on to Mount End saw us climbing up to Zhongshan Park. The climb got stiffer but still Tom kept on riding. Gritting my teeth I followed on and crested the hill, Then the usual Essex switchback with an enforced short walk for both of us part way along saw us at Tawny common. Round the common we went, to the Mole Trap, an erstwhile rough old country pub now tarted up for the motorists. I don’t go in there any more, so we sat on the adjacent public seat for a while and a short natter.

Time enough to break away, Tom to his lunch appointment, me for home by way of theYellow Crane Tower and Changjiang Bridge. See you in a while, crocodile! I arrived home about 2 o’clock. Just in time for my own Sunday lunch .

In recent years our life is becoming better and better. But our environment is becoming worse and worse. Its very bad for our life. Now many people have air-conditioners and cars, they produce (give off ) waste gas. More and more trees are being cut down. There are so much sand on the earth (leaving only sand ) . We often see factories pour waste into rivers or lakes. Water in the river is quite dirty. We havent enough clean water to drink in cities. Now we are in danger. Dragon Boat Festival is a Chinese traditional festival. It falls on the

fifth day of May in the lunar calendar. A day before this festival, my mother

and grandmother began to make zongzi. Of course, I would act as assistant. But

it turned out that I was more of a hindrance than a help. When they finished,

they started to cook them. This process needed a long time, because I could have

them in the next day. Zongzi was very delicious. On the day of dragon boat

festival, our family prepared for dinner after having breakfast. Everyone of my

family will come back home for the solid diet. Chicken is indispensable on the

dinner desk in Chinese traditional festival. There were many delicious foods,

which made me watering. I ate lots of them. It is a wonderful festival.

Sea pollution is becoming an increasing problem for our planet and we have

a responsibility to reduce sea pollution.

I need to describe the problem. Our ship currently dumps all its rubbish

into the sea.Its easy to result in huge endanger. First of all, Non-organic

substances such as plastic bags kill fish and whales. Because fish get trapped

and whales cannot digest them. Secondly some rubbish is inherently toxic.

I can suggest some solutions. First and foremost we can create a better

system of disposing of rubbish for instance. We ought to store rubbish. Next, we

are supposed to make ships environmentally and friendly. A case in point is that

we should stop providing plastic bags.

We must act now before it is too late!

班级里，有许多人把垃圾扔在地上。班级简直成了一个垃圾场。把我们美丽的校园给弄脏了。

放学了，在老师的组织下我们准备开展一次绿色行动。主要清洁班级里的垃圾，我们要让校园变回原来美丽的样子，我们要擦桌子，擦玻璃，摆椅子，拖地，扫地…………。

时间在不知不觉中流走，老师看了看手表；“呀，都六点钟了，我们整整打扫了三个小时啊!”

于是靠墙坐的同学关好窗户，大家背着书包，老师的带着整齐的队伍走向校门口，一一被在校门口等待的家长接回家。

夏天，我们家“小强”大造反。“小强”是什么？小屁孩也知道，那是蟑螂的外号，因为它繁殖力强，生命力强。（据说一只被摘了头的蟑螂还能活九天。还听说，曾经有个生物学家曾定论，如果全世界都被原子弹毁灭了，小强还是能继续生存在地球上的。）它们总是在夜晚神出鬼没，爬过水管，钻过隙缝，带着一身细菌，爬上我们的食物，啃咬我们的衣物，甚至在某个晚上偷偷爬上了爸爸的脚丫子……对此，我深恶痛绝，于是我们全家策划了一起“灭强行动”。

爸爸在网上买了一堆杀灭蟑螂的东西。第一步，使用枪手蟑香。这种香说是点燃2小时后，便可驱杀蟑螂。我们整理出厨房的食物，然后在中间空地点燃蟑香，接着紧闭门窗。在这等待的过程中，我时不时透过玻璃窗观察里面的情况。厨房里大雾弥漫，我想象着一只只小强在里面窜来窜去，发出痛苦的叫声，跌跌撞撞的倒在地上，不禁脸上露出某种类似于邪恶的笑容。两小时后，烟雾散开，打开门一看，果然战果累累，地上躺着好多大大小小的蟑螂，都已经奄奄一息，有几个还手脚抽搐。于是爸爸把小强们清理干净，耶~~，首战告捷。

第二步，我们得处理房间的小强了。我们在房间每个小强有可能出没的角落放了一间小强餐厅，又称为致命餐厅。让我来告诉你们什么是小强餐厅。就是用一个耐水硬纸板做的小屋子，小屋子的地板是凹凸不平的波浪形的强力粘板，上面放了一堆诱惑蟑螂的美食，颗粒状的，香味十足，连平时躲在阴暗角落里的小蟑螂都会不由自主吸引出来。当蟑螂走进“餐厅”用餐时，它的手脚就会被粘住，而且越挣扎越粘得牢固，最后只能乖乖的待在原地仍人宰割！我们把这些“餐厅”遍布房间，多得简直媲美外面的肯德基餐厅，哈哈哈。

过了几天，我们去看战果，果然有好几只蟑螂趴在餐厅里，无法动弹。为了彻底灭绝它，我们在夜晚给它们实行了火刑，一把火把小强们烧成灰烬。啊，请诸神们原谅我们的残忍吧。

现在我们家里的蟑螂几乎看不到了，我也放心了许多。其实灭蟑螂还是需要我们自己注意保持家的整洁，过夜应该把食物放进冰箱，并把垃圾袋扎紧，减少潮湿的地方。就当我晚上安心睡觉时，我仿佛还能感觉到夜晚有一双双小眼睛在偷偷地注视着我，啊，灭“强”行动任重道远啊！

Last summer holiday, I learned to swim. It was very unforgettable and interesting. I went to the swimming pool with my father. He taught me how to swim. At first, I was afraid of diving in the water. 一天，家里来了客人，爸爸让我和表妹去买饮料，边说边掏出二十元钱给我，我便和表妹出发了。

到了小卖部门口，只见老板正在椅子上抽着烟，看到我返回，没有一丝心虚的表情，我拿着“呵乐”狠狠地往桌子上一放，问道：“你良心被狗吃了，我的可乐怎么变成呵乐了？“这时老板居然还振振有词地说：“呵乐是可乐公司推荐的新产品，我是看你常来我这里，好心给你换的。”

表妹虽然小，但是懂许多道理，一本正经地对老板说：“你看看，这饮料的生产日期去哪了？”老板听了这句话只好拿瓶真的可乐给我们，我和表妹才高兴地回家了。

English is one of my best subjects and I started learning English when I

was ten years old.

But at the very beginning, listening seemed a little difficult for me. So I

have been doing a lot of listening practice, such as listening to tapes,

watching English TV programs. And I found it really helped a lot. In fact, there

are some more helpful ways to learn English well. For example, I enjoy singing

English songs and I want to join an English club or find a pen pal from

去年冬天尤其冷，为了取暖，家里必须烧锅炉，要想暖和，就得有人去背煤，这种力气活哪能让爷爷干呢？我先从煤堆里搬下一大块儿，从正面砸了几下，砸不开。“从反面砸！”在爷爷的指导下，我把煤块反过来，只砸了一下，竟然开了。“姜还是老的辣，哈哈……”我装了一筐，我背起煤，吃力地搬回屋里，一趟又一趟……我们爷孙俩齐心协力，整个冬天暖暖和和的……
