THE ONLY MAGICAL THING----Map There was only one thing in the world that

wanted to play, and that guy’s name was Jack. He wanted to be a pirate one day,

and found treasure in pirate islands… He had a conversation with his mother one

day for certain. It was about being a pirate one day for once in his

lifetime…

“Mom, I want to be a pirate one day, and find treasures in buried islands

and…” “Whoa! Hold there son, what do you mean by, you what to be a pirate?”

asked his mother, “Well it is that I just want to hunt for treasure instead of

just being a regular boy like usual…”

His mother laughed so very hard, “Then why don’t you ask the sorcerer of

the wicked castle?” his mother suddenly added, “What do you mean of: Wicked?”

“Well,” replied her mother, “It all happened in…” “Wait!” shouted Jack, “There

is no time for you to explain the whole thing, if you could show me this ‘Wicked

castle’ then I could be a pirate sooner or later.

And so his mother showed him a riddle clue, which had many words written on

it, “All you have to do is answer the riddles and you will arrive at your

destination;” so Jack took the map, and head out for the wicked castle

immediately, “Now let us see, two choices to make; which one is it that I need

to take?” then he suddenly felt a little twinkle among his eyes, he looked at

the map; “That’s it!” he opened the map and placed it upon him. “Now, I just

need to figure this one out.”

He read it out loud, “Choose the path that has round hard things the most…”

then he thought about it, he looked at each side; first, he checked the left;

“There is nothing very hard on this side, or even round!” the he checked the

other side, known as the right; “Look, there is a pile of rocks here, they are

very hard; and round, and there are plenty of them!”

He walked to the right, and then he went straight on. At last he came to a

big castle, it has many traps; and so Jack decided to use the map and find clues

so that he won’t get lost…

He first came to the front door, and then he opened the map, read the

riddle; “Watch out for the monster, with two pairs of wings; and come in the

spring, it is giant, I warn you…” then he answered, “The only flying thing that

has two pairs of wings is a dragon fly!” when he said “Dragonfly”

d-r-a-g-o-n-f-l-y; a giant dragonfly flew past his eyes!

“Whoa!” shouted Jack, he then read the riddle, “look around you; use the

one, as sharp as a knife;” Jack looked around himself, then he found a big sharp

needle; it was huge! He used all his might and picked it up, and then he sprang

it to the monster. The monster fell down immediately, as if dead.

Then Jack had beaten the giant ‘Dragonfly’d-r-a-g-o-n-f-l-y, he was ready

to see the sorcerer. He was casting a spell when Jack came in, he interrupted

him; and so the sorcerer shouted, “What are you doing stranger?” he asked, “Can

you make me a pirate?” “What! Nobody has ever done that spell before;

never!”

And so Jack had to keep on being a normal boy, he was satisfied sometimes,

but also was glad that he didn’t turn into a pirate. “The map is ‘the only

magical thing’ in this world…

Dear President,

I’m a second year student of your university writing to tell you about my

humble opinions of the learning environment in our school.

Although we’re enjoying the modernized buildings equipped with advanced

computers sufficient lights and well-installed desks and chairs we do find it

hard for us to concentrate on study when we’re in the classrooms. For one thing

the annoying noise made by the vans and cars disturbs our studies. For another

the classrooms which are supposed to be used for self-study are unavailable for

they are usually occupied for meetings by various kinds of associations.

Faced with such a hard nut we should find ways to crack it. I suggest that

our school should construct some special lanes for the traffic and provide

associations with specific rooms to have their meetings in order to provide a

better learning environment for us.

Ali Baba quickly got as many bags of gold as his mules could carry, and

then put them in the sack; after that he placed the wood upon the gold so firmly

that the gold couldn’t be seen.

Then Ali Baba rode home with his mules, and carried the wood with bags of

then measure how much we have, okay?” Ali Baba agreed, for he was almost the

person in the world to find out how much they have.

And so the next morning Ali Baba’s wife went to Cassim’s house to borrow a

measure, Cassim’s wife came out and said, “Sister, we have lots of measures; you

are welcome to borrow any one of them.” And then she went to the basement, and

got a bag of measure, and then Ali Baba’s wife picked one and went back to her

house. When she approached, she knelt down and began to measure. After a short

time, she went to Cassim’s house again to return the measure, not noticing that

one piece of gold coin stuck to the bottom of the measure. “Here you are

sister,” she said as she put the measure down, “I have finished using it.” And

then went away.

Cassim’s wife did not take long to realize the piece of pure gold coin. She

took it off and called Cassim, “Husband, I know you suspect that you are a rich

fellow; but your brother Ali Baba is ten times as rich as you, he does not count

his money; but measures them.”

Cassim looked at the gold coin and knew at once, “Ali Baba just pretended

that he was a poor fellow and borrows anything we have,” Cassim was not even

pleased at his brother’s good fortune, but was the opposite. And then Cassim led

his wife to Ali Baba’s house, “Ali Baba, tell me, where did you get all of this

good fortune.” At that moment, Ali Baba knew that the secret had been spread

though his own wife’s stupidity. “Look Ali Baba, if you don’t tell me where you

got this gold; I shall tell everybody, and not only will you get no more, but

you will have no more gold in the rest of your life! Ha!” laughed Cassim.

And so Ali Baba told him where he found the gold, and even the words he

knew of how to make the door open and shut. And so Cassim woke up early the next

morning, and took with his ten donkeys to fill the gold. He arrived at the place

where Ali Baba had told him, and pronounced these words, “Open Sesame!” the door

instantly opened wide, and inside of course; he found a chamber of pure gold,

and in it was gold.

Cassim filled as many bags of gold as he wanted. But when the robbers

arrived he was still filling. When the robbers found out, they used their swords

and soon killed him.

Nowadays, there are more and more people playing with their phones

everywhere, hence it has been a big issue in our society. Some people think that

phones are necessary for them because they have to keep in touch with their

friends, customers and parents. Instead, some people think that phones not only

destroy their relationship with friends but also are not good for their

health.

Some doctors say that if you spend a long time on using it every day, it

may cause your eyesight problem. In addition, you can see unusual scenery in our

society. For example, people become indifferent and cold-blooded because they

mainly talk with each other on phone. It not only affects your physical health

but also your spirit health. What’s worse, phones also produce some harmful

radiation which really hurts your brain because it may cause your memory

problems and even get a cancer.

However, phone is not always negative in your life. There is a research

shows that it not only can kill your time but can also reduces your stress.

Therefore, we have to learn that how to control our time when we use it, and

also know that how to use it correctly.

回忆你二岁半入幼儿园时，第一天上学妈妈送你到教室，陪你玩了一会后，就悄悄地离开了。本以为你没见到妈妈会哭，但老师说你一点都没有哭，还和小朋友玩得特别开心。第二天上学也没哭，可到了第三天，马上要到学校的时候，你边哭边跑，说什么不去上学了，但我还是硬把你抱去了教室……其实看到你哭得那么伤心，妈妈心里很难受，我忍着眼泪把你放在教室就走了……这样的场景持续了两个星期。再后来你开始渐渐地喜欢幼儿园了，在每天放学的路上给我聊你在幼儿园里发生的很多趣事……

在你读中班的时候，因为妈妈一个人照顾生意，不得不把你送到叙永，去舅妈的幼儿园上学。到了叙永上学，你很开心。因为是舅妈当你的老师，但你知道在幼儿园里，你就不会叫舅妈，而叫龚老师。龚老师，特别地照顾你，让你在班上像个小老师一样。吃饭时，让你给小朋友们发餐具，还负责给他们盛饭;做早操时，让你站在前面当领队;要放学的时候，还让你帮着给小朋友们发书包，其实你那时不认识什么字，但你知道分辨每个小朋友的书包是什么图案、什么颜色。龚老师说你基本没有发错过……在叙永上学的这一学期，你得到了很好的锻炼。由于妈妈太想你了，第二期开学就给你转学回来了。转学后的这半学期里，你几乎没有学到什么，甚至连最基本的数字1到5都不会数，更别说写了!因为觉得老师不行，就考虑给你转学……就这样折腾了几次，最后转到阳光幼儿园，那时打听到你现在的张老师非常的棒，但她是教学前班的。虽然你没有上过大班，妈妈还是决定把你从中班直接跳到张老师的班去……

我的宝贝女儿，还有4天你就满26个月了。你和妈妈是4月30日凌晨2点半见面的，自此你每天都和妈妈在一起。

上次清明小长假一别，妈妈更加觉得你不在的日子，索然无味。于是想了很多办法，克服了很多困难，把你接回来了。

妈妈在4月27日晚乘夜火车去郑州同课异构上课，29日乘夜火车返程，同行同事零点睡觉的时候，妈妈在刘邦故里提前下车，然后一路打出租辗转2小时，回到有你和姥姥、爷爷的家里。爷爷等候在龙河桥头，河里的青蛙叫声此起彼伏，两岸的小麦和河底的水草送来清香，妈妈的老家还是比较天然的。妈妈坐上爷爷电瓶车的后座，明显感觉到爷爷的苍老。妈妈像你这多大的时候，爷爷是多么的魁梧有力啊!蜜枣长大，妈妈开心;姥姥爷爷日渐老去，妈妈伤怀!时光啊!那么珍贵!那么无情!

大学毕业后，我去矿区一所中学任教，住简易的矿区单身宿舍。我住的那间，原己住了一位单身大龄姑娘，当护士的。护士戴上雪白的口罩，两个水晶似的大眼露在外边，总给人温柔的感觉。可我的室友在宿舍总是眉心紧蹙，没有一句话，时常把盆碗弄的山响。半年后我逃离到街道小巷里的一间五六平米的小屋，是我用月租30元赁来的，我总算拥有了自己的空间。

小巷里住的人家大多是矿工家属。我的房东是采煤工，他的娘子是30多岁的很端庄温和的女人，没有工作专搞家务抚养两个孩子，看他们一家生活得和和美美，心里也觉温暖。

我的小屋是平房，墙壁是竖砖砌成的，薄薄的一层，屋顶是一层红瓦，夏热冬寒。我把原本很多灰尘的小屋收拾得窗明几净，备课批作业的小桌放在窗口下，就很安居乐业的住下了。这里的矿工们都很尊重我这个年轻的女教师。

大概入住不到一个月的一天半夜，有人敲我的玻璃小窗，我惊醒后，听得有一个苍老的声音说什么，我真担心那人会突破薄薄的墙钻进来。天明后，房东分析嫌疑人可能是巷内那个游手好闲的爱寻花问柳的老男人。房东男人攥起斗大的拳头晃了晃，要我以后再有人夜里敲门窗，便大声喊。天哪，那种时候我都吓傻了，除了哆嗦，手足无措。我去市里买了一个50元的电铃，花了我六分之一的月工资。房东亲自给我安好，铃盘挂在他夫妻卧室的横梁上，开关安在我的床头，电线高高的横跨一米的巷子上空。有天晚上我试着打开，铃声骤然大作，震得房东可爱的小女儿紧紧捂住粉嫩的小耳朵，清脆的铃声在小巷的夜空徊荡了许久。遗憾的是安上电铃后，再也听不到夜半敲窗声，只能想象那风流老男人在铃声中夹起尾巴逃跑的狠狈。

小巷的住房都是简易平房，地势低，平时很潮湿，一有太阳时，窄窄的巷内都晒满了衣被毛巾，谁家衣被洁净与否，都能衡量出谁家女人的勤快程度。我的房东晒出的东西都清清爽爽。房东娘子仅靠男人挖煤挣来的不多的血汗钱，把生活安排的很妥帖，一双儿女穿戴虽非名牌，但十分干净宜眼。饭桌上大都是青菜萝卜等蔬菜，都很可口，我时常下课晚了，在她家吃上一顿。

校长考虑到我这个小女子在外赁房不安全，给了一间二楼的单间，我依依不舍的搬离了人气旺旺的小巷，房东一定要我把借给我的书架继续用下去。

这一次我挥别刘伯承，再次下江南的前夕，房东两口特来送行，一起回忆六七年前的岁月，一双儿女都上初中了，成绩不好让他们犯愁。吃饭时我看到房东的端酒杯的食指少了一截，不由得很内疚。记得当年我入住小屋时，睡的是他家的木板床，床板不平，房东在工余时拿来锯子斧头忙乎了一阵，摆平了床板，但同时他的食指也叫利锯吃下半截，不久发炎脱落。那时我心里好难受，可他乐呵呵地说：“这算啥，我们下井挖煤，碰着伤着是常事，还得准备把命搭上。”

每想到房东断了的一截手指以及我们总是割不断的近似亲情友谊，我总仿佛生活在人间四月天。听说我当年的老姑娘室友也已结婚生子，我祝她幸福，毕竟我俩有半年的室缘。

宝贝女儿，这么多年，妈妈和大姨一直没有间断过联系。大姨一家是本分、善良的人家，妈妈永远祝福大姨一家平安、幸福。女儿，你长大后，不管在哪里，不管做什么，请记得一定要善良。善良比聪明重要太多倍了。就算人生处处在考试，请记得小赢在智而大赢在德。

妈妈去郑州上课，上出了自己的风格，虽然同行评价不错，但妈妈始终认为课堂是遗憾艺术，不过妈妈也感谢遗憾，因为遗憾往往促成思考。每当妈妈接到任务时，在职业角色之外还会把自己和你紧紧联系在一起，想要做优秀的蜜枣妈妈。我的闺女，人可以不聪明，但是不能不认真。你认真了，你也就真诚了，真诚的交流，是很珍贵的。106中学的那些哥哥姐姐们，都是美术生。妈妈敬佩他们。其实他们并非都有天赋，大部分人是进入高中才开始学习美术，因为这些上进的学生希望以美术特长带动文化课学习，以文化课的优势推进美术特长的发展，从而给自己一个更高的发展平台。妈妈不觉得他们功利。平台，对一个人发展很重要，上个好大学，起码不会有多少坏处吧!女儿，退而求其次、不得已而为之还能把事情坚持做好，是很了不起的。妈妈希望你以后也是有追求、有规划、能吃苦的人!

妈妈给那些哥哥姐姐们说了关于你的顺口溜：我家蜜枣赏小，篱前满地乱跑。春风吹乱头发，蔷薇开得正好。他们在妈妈上完课准备返程的时候，把这顺口溜绘成一幅画送给了妈妈。这是妈妈郑州之行最大的收获。妈妈替你保存着这幅生动的画，跟你神似无比。让我们一起祝愿他们前程似锦!也祝愿他们的学校滋兰九畹!树蕙百亩!
