There was once a little boy that wanted to be a good captain, but he knew

that he was too poor for that; and so he made up a plan to go a world called

Penny. It was a funny name but he didn’t mind. He also thought that his family

wouldn’t let him to go on such a long trip, for Penny that world was a

hundred100 miles more away. It was a very, very long journey for a boy only 10

years old to do.

He insisted that in the night where nobody could find him gone; and so he

set off in 1981, where he could find some kind people in New York. He got his

purse, and set off on his journey a day before the year; he went off at March,

starting with bare feet; he met on his way a little girl wishing so much for

money, and he picked up his purse; but found out that he had but only a little

bit of copper coins, there was not enough for her.

He stopped a while for about 10 days to find a job to earn money; he was

always kind, and was willing to help others when they are in need. At last he

got 100 cents with was 100 silver coins, and that paid the little girl

wealthily, he still kept the copper coins in emergencies.

After two more days of journeying, he found a place where it was icy and

cold, he knew that he couldn’t make it to Penny in time, and, so, made a

comfortable shelter to stay in until spring; where he came out happily, and

started off in 1982. When he at last reached Penny, he found a good job, and

paid it off with the copper coins.

He preferred the money to his whole family, and got $100 in return to the

kind people with which helped him when he was like, in trouble or something

like. That, it was good that nobody ever questioned him where he was that whole

time when he went back; but he was still glad that he got to help his family.

When he recovered, he felt a little bit sad, and lay down; the next morning when

his parents came into his recovering house to take him home to rest and play,

they found his two hands clasped on his white covered sheet bed, as if dead.

This place comes where his parents were shocked; they knew that this was

the boy’s last sleep, the cried bitterly all night long, while there was still a

smile on the hero’s face.

My favorite animal is a rabbit. Its name is Dream.

Dream has two long ears. It’s very small. It’s white. It has a short tail.

It has red eyes. It likes eating carrots. It likes jumping.

I like it very much. It’s lovely. It’s my best friend. I like the

rabbit.

Dear Mary,

Thanks for your last letter. Im so glad that you have been able (at last!

) to arrange a holiday in Australia. As I fear I wont be able to meet you at

the airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in the

afternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions. There is a bus from

the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city

and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station. To get to my place in the

eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the

train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right

at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my

place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you

will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian

will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my

flat. Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some

exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is

only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window. Cheers and looking

forward to seeing you.

有一次，去接你回家，无意拿过你的书包，让我大吃一惊，你的书包足足有10多公斤，我想象不出一个瘦弱的你，整天背负着这么沉重的书包上学，你怎么能承担的了?爸爸感到心痛了，回家后给你的妈妈讲了这个事情，妈妈难过的落泪了。

现在的孩子的确很不宜，他们幼小的心灵就要承受许多来自外界的比较参数：比学习、比进步等等，学习不好，在班级名次较低，自己无地自容，又害怕爸爸妈妈难过，他们在家长的监督下，无奈的参加着这样或者那样的学习班，想提高自己能力，家长与学校的意图就是要素质教育，也要体制增强，但是真的忽略了孩子最真实的教育：那就是快乐与健康同在!

对于孩子的学习，作为家长，我们更是心有余而力不足的着急，每天孩子夜晚的作业要做到10---11 点钟，但也倍感无奈。家长迫切的期望自己的孩子学习、学习、再学习，使自己的孩子在班级成为第一名，这才感到欣慰。但是，我们也忽略了第一仅仅是一个名次，学以至用才是最重要的。

作为家长我们开始反思了，我们最初的培养模式也许已经不适合孩子了，也不适合现在的社会环境了，包括学校的教育体制的改进，也说明素质教育才是最有人文关怀的教育，那种硬试教育出来的 高分低能同样也是教育的悲哀!

I am happy .I have my own room . Look!This is my room.It’s small but

clean.There is a desk and a bed.There are some dolls on my bed .There are two

chairs. There is a bookshelf，too.My bookshelf has two layers. I put the

story—books on the first layer. I put the other kinds books on the second layer.

I often clean it .There are two big windows. On the windows，you can see some

nice flowers.I like to watch them grow. And there is a balcony outside the room.

There was once a little girl named Anna, that wanted to have magic in this

world; but she knew that her mother would just only laugh at her if she had told

her. And so she decided to go on the adventure on her own.

She got everything that she needed to complete her mission, and then

started off without a word to say. She headed out to the woods, and found a

little tree house nearby; she climbed up there with a ladder, and found lots of

books and shelves there. She found a book about knights, and turned to a page of

pictures of knights long ago; and how they battle enemies such as that. Anna

wished so much that she could go there.

After that she fell asleep, and then she opened her eyes, and found her on

the ground; as if she were asleep… She thought it very weird, that she was here;

at first she was at the tree house, then she was at the grass plot.

She got up, and walked through looking for an exit, then she found the book

that she was reading before; she knew that she must have gone into the knight’s

story because of her wish. She picked up the book, and looked around; The book

suddenly moved like magic, then, she found the books end; there were some words

written all over it.

She read in out loud, “If you want to escape this land you are in, all you

have to do is try and face all the knights, there are four of them; good luck!”

then she began searching for knights, but what she did before that was to think

about how to defeat them… She walked along the road, and finally saw a big tree

with a sharp branch; she had an idea of how she could face the knights; she

broke down the branch, and kept on searching. She was not quite ready for

beating them, for she just needed some other things in order to defeats them…

She kept on her journey, and suddenly realized a big rock; she was tired and so

lay on it. Then a crack came on her back, and the rock got up. Anna was

astonished, she stood up and said, “Who are you?” then the rock replied. “I am

the alive rock and I suppose you are Anna;” “How did you know my name?”

The rock took a breath and replied, “Because I heard your voice ever since,

I know you are looking for some new weapons to defeat knights…” “I most

certainly am alive rock,” and she bowed down. The rock then said, “I suppose I

can be of much use to you, I am going to come with you; and see whether there

are dangers…”

And so Anna and the alive rock moved along, suddenly they came to a big

giant tree; the tree said slowly, “Who are you that dare come to my place?”

“Ah!” shouted Anna, “Alive tree!” “How did you guess my name?” asked the talking

tree; “Because-because your, a-liv-e!” “Yep! And that’s my neighbor;” answered

alive rock. Anna then said; “OH, well I suppose you can be a lot of use to me

when I defeat knights!”

“Knight? Defeat? Ha! That is already the easiest sport I could think of! I

had defeated knights for like 2089 times!” “What?!” asked Anna rather surprised,

then she gulped and answered; “Then you must come with me!” answered Anna

proudly. And so the three of them marched down, until they came was a big knife;

the knife turned around and said, “Who are you little girl?” “Ah!” shouted Anna

again, “That’s our neighbor too!” replied alive tree and alive rock

together.

Anna then said, “Oh, then you must come with me; I have to defeat knights!”

“Oh,” answered the knife, “Then I suppose I could be a lot of use to you, now

all we are missing in the alive shield…” He didn’t even finish until, “What?!”

shouted Anna, “Don’t shout Anna!” replied alive tree, “This isn’t fake, it is

true; follow knife!”

Then knife led the group to where the big shield was, he was brushing his

face when they arrived, “Oh, hello everybody; and hello little girl named Anna!”

“How did you all know my name?” “No time for that!” shouted alive rock, “We have

knights to defeat!” “And you must come with us alive shield!” “No problem!”

shouted he, and then the group marched off.

They at last reached the knights hiding spot, the four knights answered;

“We shall destroy you!” speaking of which, the knights charged toward Anna’s

group; “Attack!” shouted Anna. Alive tree, alive rock, alive knife and mostly

alive shield charged toward the knights. Seeing such a fright, the knights said,

“You know what; maybe today is not the day boys…

Then the knights were destroyed by the alive group team.

Suddenly a flash came upon Anna, and she vanished out of sight; “Where did

she go?” asked the group. Then she shook their heads, and went back to their

homes…

And for Anna, she got back home; and she at last knew that magic is really

magic…

受你班主任之邀，作为学生家长代表，我有幸同你们全年级师生于20__年3月3日上午10点在重庆鲁能巴蜀中学大礼堂参加了初20__级百日中考誓师大会。

离开中学校园很多年了，很长时间都没有完全感受到学校的活动氛围了，这次参加你们的誓师大会，让我感触颇多。

一走进学校大礼堂，看到孩子们富有朝气的脸庞和活力的样子，内心充满了幸福感，你们真的是祖国的希望，未来的栋梁!大屏幕不断地播放《创新巴蜀》的图片，让我逐渐了解巴蜀中学，了解你们师生的共同奋进，了解你们为了巴蜀的明天不断创新和超越!我为你们感到自豪!

接着你们的校长，老师，家长代表和学哥学姐们都做了精彩的发言，还有每个班级体振奋人心的誓言。听着他们的肺腑之言，我更多的是感动。他们从不同的角度给你们太多的激励。儿子，你可以更加深刻地感受到：你不是孤军奋战，你后面有一支强有力支撑你学习的队伍!你的身后有为你无私奉献的老师，互帮互助的同学和不辞辛劳的父母，以及所有关心你的人!他们和你是一个团队在并肩作战!我知道从这学期开始，你突然长大，自己觉醒了，你要努力学习，争取考上巴蜀!这是你本期的目标，也算得上初中三年的目标。目标有了，那就应该有行动。在离中考越来越近的日子，你的功课会越来越繁重。

爸爸妈妈想告诉你，这过程是艰苦的，但也是绝大多数人一生要经历的阶段。在这过程中，我们想告诉你：首先要锻炼身体，要有健康的体魄，才能顺利完成学业;要平心静气，不要浮躁;要坚持，永不放弃;要不断战胜自己，克服困难，知难而上;要超越自己，永不言败!你生在中国，你要不断调整自己，适应应试教育，抱怨是无用的，因为你无法改变大环境!在一个人的成长过程中，总是会遇到困难和坎坷，但你要学会面对，并且要找到解决问题的关键和方法。一路走来，我们陪你一同成长，总是鼓励你，坚持，坚持，再坚持!要想未来的日子充满阳光，你就必须现在要努力!你是学生，完成学业是你的本质任务。要适时调整心态，要有不断奋进的动力!随着中考的临近，辛苦是短暂的，其中的酸甜只有你自己去品尝，也只有你自己才能从根本上战胜自我!我们相信你是最优秀的!

没有人能预料你的未来，命运都掌握在自己手里。在人生必须经历的阶段，你自己奋斗了，才能做到无怨无悔。人生没有后悔，也不能有太多的遗憾!为了尽快适应中考，你要改变自己的一些学习思路，找到学习的捷径，要有针对性的学习和冲刺，真正地培优补差!没有不可能的事，只要你用心地去做，努力都会有结果。要相信自己，能改变现状和创造奇迹!

儿子，多一些思考，多一些行动，超越自我。我们同心协力，共同进步!付出总会有回报!相信今天你以巴蜀为荣，明天巴蜀以你为荣!

Dear Judy,

I’m writing the letter for the purpose of conveying my thanks for your warm

reception during my recent visit to your country.

Your friendly warmth made it possible that I have a pleasant time in

America. And it was your generous help that allowed me the chance to know the

American culture better. In addition, I consider in an honor for me to make a

friends of you.

I hope that you would visit our country in due course so that I could enjoy

the opportunity to repay your kindness and refresh our friendship. Please accept

New semester is coming soon, and I will be a six grade student. I am so

excited about the last year of the primary school, so I have made up my mind. I

must study hard and improve my English level. I realize master the International

language will be useful for me, so I must study it well. I think I can make

it.

Housework? Honestly speaking I never do houseworks. My mum does all of

them. I hate doing houseworks because it is boring and tiring, and Learning

English is boring and tiring enough for me. Whenever my mum ask me to wash

dishes for her I shout to her "No Way! Study is already impossibly hard for me

and more housework can only drive me closer to madness." Thats all I know about

housework.
