As we know, many people favor the idea that the college life is free and

comfortable, but I’d like to say it’s not true. As a matter of fact, my life in

university is so busy that I wonder if my energy is enough. As to my college

life, I divide it into four parts, including study, student activities, library

and the others.

Firstly, I want to talk about the study. In my opinion, study is the

priority in college. When I received the letter of admission in summer, I knew

clearly that what I should do. So I make up my mind to study hard and pursue

learning as much as possible. I’m greatly convinced that knowledge can change my

life. Therefore, I often go to the quiet study room where many people study

there. By working so hard, I get good grades in the exams.

Secondly, student activities play an important role in our college life. To

be honest, the student Union is a good place where one can develop social

skills, get his abilities trained. I take part in many student activities. For

example, I’ m a volunteer, teaching the kids to learn to dance and write. I

think it’s meaningful for everyone to give a hand to others. I can also do some

jobs in the Student Union, including receiving and sending fast mail, selling

papers and magazines. I think they’re unforgettable and worthwhile experiences

for me.

Thirdly, I also visit the library constantly. It’s said that “shelves of

books, oceans of knowledge”, so I read books that I’m interested in. In this

way, I can share stories with my new friends and it also changes my horizons

.When I’m sad, lost or in trouble, staying the library makes me quiet and

comfortable. After all, every life has bad moments as well as good ones, and the

library for me is a support in bad moments. So it’s wise choice for me to stay

in the library.

Finally, I often do other things in my spare time. In order to alleviate

parents’ burden, I often do some part-time jobs and write some articles to earn

money. It helps me to be independent and improve my social skills.

In short, my life in university is busy but valuable. You can see that

study brings me knowledge, student activities improve myself, library changes my

horizons, the others things make me independent. They get all my abilities

trained. And I see that the chance will come only if you have a prepared mind,

so I’m sure that I can achieve my dreams in college life.

Low carbon life is popular nowadays. Its aim is to reduce the energy in our

daily life, especially reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide. It is well-known

that the air pollution is more and more serious. So we should do something to

protect our earth.

Firstly,we should take more bus instead of driving cars. As people’s living

standard has improved, there are more and more people driving private cars. This

phenomenon is one of the causes for air pollution. Because its gas will produce

lots of carbon dioxide, which may enventually lead to air pollution. Secondly,

when we leave our house or classroom, we would better turn of the lights, fans

节约资源，无非是对于可再利用的物质做到不浪费，当用则用，不需用则不用，这是我们保护环境的前提，不节约哪来的浪费，又哪来污染呢?当然，没有污染哪来保护环境之作为呢?而且，我们也应该正确利用资源，合理利用资源。所谓正确利用资源，当然是把一些没有或用过的资源用在正确的地方，使这些资源能够被充分利用，发挥它们巨大的实力。就好像煤炭一样，这是一种不可再生能源，我们常是利用煤炭做燃料的，而由于它在燃烧时，会放出一些污染环境的气体，导致温室效应。它在燃烧时与空气接触面积不充分的话就会使一些煤炭被浪费掉。而人们利用增大与空气的接触面积能使煤炭燃烧得更充分的原理，将煤炭混合水用藕煤机把煤炭压成具有良好的通风等份状的圆孔藕煤，这使煤的浪费减少了许多，但是在许多时候煤炭的燃烧还是不充分，导致煤的浪费并未得到根本解决，可是我们也能利用高科技将煤炭碾成粒状，再进行鼓风、压缩等环节，大大提高了煤炭的燃烧率。所以说我们要正确利用资源，使资源能够被充分利用。而合理利用资源，就是利用资源要有度。我们在利用资源时，做到既不浪费，也不过分节制。这样的做法绝对比那些盲目节约资源的方式强千倍万倍。

这时，也许有人会说：“节约资源与保护环境是两码事，节约的资源并不代表就能保护环境。”那么让我们想象一下，如果我们不节约资源，那么我们这个世界共有60多亿人口，为了供应日常生活中对资源的需要，国家政府一定会更大限度的开发资源，这样会有许多的植被被破坏，那时不仅引起土地沙漠化的加速，而且会使水土流失更加惨重，甚至会使空气污染到处张狂。难道这样还不能破坏环境吗?难道一定要等到无可救药的地步，我们才会认识到节约资源的重要性吗?反之，如果我们节约资源正确合理的利用资源。那结果就大不一样，不仅我们的环境得到了改善，而且我们的生活也会因此变得更加美好幸福，社会会更加和谐，世界才会得到更多的爱。

减少排放，特别针对是工厂，无论工厂生产什么样的产品，都会对外界排放出一些废水、废渣、废气。如果废水流入到河里，再随着河流汇入大海，那时会有多少水生物死亡，甚至走向灭绝。海水没有了往日的碧蓝，失去了往日的生机，此海若流入我们日常生活用水的水域，将会对我们造成巨大的伤害，无论是身体或者心理都是一种阴影。而当废渣排入水中，更会使水的自净能力下降，导致水体污染。当废气排入空气中，由于废气中含有二氧化氮、一氧化碳等毒气，会引起酸雨，而且酸雨又会导致水、土壤酸化，对植物造成危害。这一切都是恶性循环，以此我们减少排放，以免它们对我们的环境造成伤害。阻止恶性循环的继续，还得保护我们的环境，减少废弃物的排放。而我们要减少排放，就必须提高资源的利用率，改进生产设备，增强净化装置的功能。

节约资源，减少排放是保护环境的前提，是保护环境的行动表现。我们在日常生活中要保护环境，就必须节约资源减少排放，这些是缺一不可的。

假如，你只是一个时刻在准备环保的人，那么你将永远只是一个空想主义者。假如，你现在是一个时刻在节约资源，又不正确利用资源的人，你将只会赔了夫人又折兵。假如你是一个时刻在节约资源，又不合理利用资源的人，你将不会对保护环境起到任何作用。假如，你是一个懂得节约资源，又能正确合理利用资源的人，那么你会成为一个真正环保的人。反而，如果你是一个会保护环境，那你一定知道如何节约资源，如何减少排放，如何去共创我们未来的明天。这需要我们同心协力共同协作，这样才能更有效的保护环境。

在我们日常生活中，保护环境是处处可寻的，比如说，我们的学习用品纸张，在还没有使用完时，我们可以将它们重新收集起来，钉成草稿本或是练习本，在使用完后再送进回收站，这样我们就可以做到一纸多用，现在的环保铅笔就是用废纸制成的。在用水方面，就更能节约资源了，例如我们可以将洗菜水浇灌土地，灌溉农田等，我们的淘米水可以用来洗碗，而且使淘米水洗碗比使用洗涤精更环保，更清洁。以上节约资源的方式概括了回收利用、循环利用等。从以上现象，我们可以看出节约资源也是需要一定的技巧的。那么一些有害物质是否也是一种资源呢?那是一定的，不过这就得联系化学当中的化学反应，比如炭在燃烧不充分时，会产生一氧化碳，而一氧化碳是有毒性的，它极易与生物体的血液中的血红蛋白相结合，导致生物体缺氧而中毒或者死亡。那么怎样才能防止一氧化碳对我们造成危害呢?大家都知道，一氧化碳还具有还原性，它可以在冶金方面大展自己的特长。我们便可以利用它的这一性质来冶炼金属。所以我们要正确对待无论是有益或是有害的物质，要正确利用它们。对于一氧化碳我们可以正确利用，为什么其他有害物质我们不能呢?由此看来，节约资源不仅是节约有益资源，还要真确利用有害物质，以便它们能够转变成为对我们有益的资源。相反如果我们对于一些资源的认识不正确的话，就会使一些能够对我们人类作出贡献的物质被浪费。但是依靠高科技并不能解决所有问题，就以我们现在的实力来说，我们不能无限制的排放有害物质，这样我们才能够更好的保护环境，从而使我们的生活更加美好。

The Spring Festival, Chinese New Year,is the most important festival for all of us. While some people are not interested in traveling at all, since traveling

As far as I’m concerned, the advantages of traveling are more than its

Mothers Day Mother’s Day is a holiday when children honor their mothers with

cards, gifts and flowers. In many countries, such as Denmark, Finland, Italy,

Turkey, Australia and the US, people cel lebrate Mother’s Day on the second

Sunday in May while many other countries of the world celebrate their own

Mother’s day at different times through out the year.

One of the best ways to celebrate Mother’s Day is to give your mom the day

off. Let her relax with the rest of the family doing all the housework. Usually,

dad and the kids will let mom sleep late that morning as they go into the

kitchen to prepare her favourite breakfast. Never forget to place a vase with a

single flower on the table beside the food. The kids can pick up the flower from

the garden or buy one from the shop. Arrange everything nicely before mom wakes

up. Some families will carry the food and mom’s favourite sections from the

newspaper to her bedroom so that mom can have breakfast in bed. Presents and

cards from the kids can be handed to mom by themselves or just placed on the

dining table.

After breakfast, go anywhere mom likes to go. Shopping, swimming or going on

a picnic in the garden. Make a special Mother’s Day dinner or take mom out for a

great meal in a famous restaurant she loves most.
