the Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingways most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation. My first impression of this story was from screen.

Its long long ago, maybe before I can read english books. I dont remember which movie edition I had seen. But I was impressed by the music, the scenery and the costume. I was very favor of a section of music in its balls. Its pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. Regarding to the characters, I liked Elizabeth, the heroine,though I didnt think shes beautiful. But shes smart. However, I didnt pay much attention to the plot. I thought its so long that it made me impatient and bored. By now, I havent read the whole story in English or its Chinese version, either. I owe it to my prejudice.

In fact, I didnt understand the story at that time. I didnt know why it called Pride and Prejudice. Of course someone was pride, but I didnt find where s the prejudice. I thought its normal, the way people treated each other in that. I considered prejudice would be very disgusting. But to the movie everthing was OK in my minds, except its length. Now, I think I have understood more about it. Im a prejudiced person so I cant find wheres wrong. I merely like to do the things I like. Everytime I meet somebody or something,my thinking about he or it all depends on my foregone experience and my mood of the time.

However, unlike other ones, this story first delineates the client’s strange behavior at length to indicate the severity of the incident in order to attract the readers to continue reading it. As is known to all, vivid depiction is essential to detective stories since it can help the readers understand each figure’s characteristics and visualize the scenes, thus making the story more authentic and attractive. Therefore, trying to present a “real world” to his readership, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of the original “Holmes series”, has skillfully arranged the plots of the whole story from the perspective of Dr. Watson, a character not so specialized in discovering the truth hidden behind the enigmatic happenings as Holmes but so loyal to Sherlock Homes as a friend that he always accompanies Holmes wherever he goes. In this way, he elaborately depicted every scene and character in the book, Apart from the special start, the ending of the whole story, being dramatic but reasonable, is certainly an outstanding one. After all, except the author himself, who knows that the Duke’s seemingly ordinary secretary is in fact the Duke’s bastard? In addition, who knows that the Duke actually has already been acquainted with the whole thing before Holmes solves this complicated problem? Yet, surprising as it is, this ending seems so natural that it fits all the plots of the story perfectly well. While enjoying this wonderful story, I could do nothing but admire the wonderful design of this masterpiece as well as the author’s gorgeous writing skill. Closing my eyes, I can even “see” the story happening just like watching a film. Not until then did I understand why the Japanese cartoon film Detective Conan used this “Conan” as the name of its hero.

As far as I am concerned, nothing is more admirable and surprising in the hero Sherlock Homes than his profound knowledge which has certainly assisted him a lot when he was studying the case. And from then on, I have a little prince live in my heart, and when I felt tired to face the society, he appeared and took me back to the clean and honest world that I’ve ever stayed in childhood. I am sure love can cure everything. Only when Sohrab lives a happy life as Hassan hoped can Amir’s sin washed up.

读《“刺猬女孩”艾可儿》有感“学习成绩固然重要，但是拥有健康向上的品行以及各种生存技能同样重要，只有全面发展，你才是一个真正的好学生”，这句话给我们道出了学习好有时并不重要，其实最重要的是一个良好的心态，健康的品行，不受外界影响，全面的发展才是真正的好学生。很久很久以前，会魔法的于小鱼老师与邪恶领主之间的斗争不断打响。

而这次是从一只花斑猫的到来，它的到来彻底打乱了模范学生艾可儿的生活，仿佛一夜之间她变成了一个自私又乖戾的“刺猬女孩”，伤害了每一个关心她的人。但是，多年的同窗之情使同学们没有抛弃她，大家在于小鱼老师的带领下，帮助艾可儿重新找回自我，又一次粉碎了黑暗领主的陰谋。在这本书中，我仿佛也看到了我乖戾的时候。只因为一点小事和同学大吵大闹；在家里也是如此，爸爸妈妈处处都依着我，“讨好”我。我想以后可不能再让他们这样费心了。书中说过“‘刺猬女孩’到底还是浑身带刺，是不会变成天使的”。可是，魔鬼也有天使般的笑容，我相信我会真正做到“老师的好帮手，同学的好伙伴，家人的好宝贝”。
