当乍暖还寒的初春来临时，这间不大的平顶房屋檐上便会倾泻下一道道金灿灿的“瀑布”来。那是春的使者——迎春花姑娘在向人们播报春的信息。过不了多久，粉红色的桃花，雪白色的李子花也会相继绽放，空气中便会弥漫起沁人心脾的芳香，引来彩蝶翩跹，蜂儿嬉闹。暮春时节，优雅的板竹花，高贵的紫藤花也不失时机地前来报到了，它们开出的深紫色花朵那么凝重，那么富有内涵，让人过目不忘。最爱凑热闹的虞美人怎会轻易错过这个大展风姿的绚丽舞台呢?它们赶紧妆扮好俏丽的容颜粉墨登场，好博得爱花人的声声赞誉。而那朴实无华的月季花、夹竹桃，也开出了素雅大方的花朵儿来，虽说貌不惊人，倒也芳香四溢，使得人们啧啧称赞。

骄阳似火的夏季来到了，喜欢攀缘的凌霄花高举着一串串桔红色的小风铃，在焦灼难耐的热风中发出阵阵清脆的欢笑，那么爽朗，那么热情，充分彰显它们生命的绚烂。纯朴大方的麻杆花听见了，也忙梳妆打扮，好把自己最美的一面展示给众人。再看那娇巧纤弱的杜鹃花，绽放出片片单薄的玫红色花瓣，那么小巧可人，让人不由心生爱怜。酷热难耐的正中午，毫不起眼的太阳花勇敢地站了出来，它们毫不示弱地向烈日发出了挑战。一朵朵，一片片，虽说花朵不够硕大，花瓣也只有薄薄的一层，但在烈焰地烘烤下格外耀眼艳丽，表现出顽强不屈的惊人毅力。

金风送爽的秋天到来了，这小小的平顶房上又是一番迷人的景象。菊花怒放，丹桂飘香。一盆盆开得如火如荼的串红格外引人注目，远远看到它们，会让人不由想象出我们正美美享用着的红红火火的好日子来。高大挺拔的美人蕉，修长碧绿的叶片顶端高高挺举起朵朵红艳艳、黄澄澄的花朵来，生机勃勃，给人力量，催人奋进。

冰冻三尺的隆冬季节，百花凋零，万木萧瑟。平顶房上似乎有些寂寞。不用担心，过不了多久，那不畏严寒的腊梅花就会悄然无声地怒放开来，“墙角数枝梅，凌寒独自开，遥知不是雪，为有暗香来。”这敢于迎霜斗雪的梅花所表现出的高贵气节又是多么让人敬佩啊!
