对学生上网这个问题都可谓仁者见仁，智者见智，有的禁止学生上网，有的为学生上网创造条件。其实学生上网有利也有弊，学生上网一般是查阅资料、聊天、玩游戏、看电影、听音乐等。

上网可以查阅资料，对于不理解的问题，通过网络有可能解决，对于需要的内容通过网络也可以找到，更何况现在已经有了“网络教学”，通过上网可以开阔视野，丰富知识。但网上也有一些不健康的知识，学生时期正处于好奇心较强的时期，这些不健康的知识很容易被学生接纳，因此，应引起重视，正确引导学生，使他们取其“精华”，去其“糟粕”。

上网玩游戏也不完全是坏事，因为学生玩游戏可以锻炼手、脑的反应能力，通过玩游戏可以激发对电脑知识的兴趣与爱好，可以满足学生娱乐需要;玩游戏可以缓解焦虑，排遣烦恼;玩游戏可以给学生带来成功感，满足他们自尊的需要。但是，也应看到其不利的一面：长时间的玩游戏对身体有害，尤其对视力的影响;长时间玩游戏分散学生的精力，致使学生的成绩下降;玩游戏还可以导致学生品行下降，到处筹钱满足自己的欲望，有的甚至走上违法犯罪的道路。

网上聊天是学生常去的地方，首先，学生时期思想比较丰富，同时自尊感比较强，他们不愿向家长、教师、朋友倾诉自己内心深处的秘密，但他们可以上网倾诉，以便发泄。其次，网上聊天可以讨论很多有意义的问题，开阔视野，拓展知识面。还有，网上聊天可以提高打字速度，单纯的打字练习使学生感到乏味、枯燥、甚至反感。为了满足聊天的需要，他们努力提高打字速度。但网上聊天有时产生很多负面的影响：首先，因迷恋某个网友而分散精力，成绩下降，有的甚至产生早恋。因为网上聊天既看不到对方，也听不到声音，彼此猜测对方的心理去说，久而久之产生好感。学生的思想在方方面面正处于不稳定时期，而且比较单纯，尤其是女孩子，往往一时的冲动而造成不堪设想的后果。其次，若交上不好的网友，很容易被引上歧途。生活中有很多的例子：曾经有一个女孩，学习成绩很好，交了一个网友，经过几次约会，学会了喝酒，染上了恶习，甚至改变了自己的人生观，最后辍学，留下了终身的懊悔。

上网看看电影，听听音乐，可以放松一下自己，使自己的身心得以休息，但要注意“度”的问题。

总之，学生上网有利也有弊，教师和家长应多给予帮助和引导。比如：可以给学生规定上网的时间;条件允许可以争取让学生在家上网，少去网吧;学生上网时应多留意和观察;多与学生进行交流与沟通，使之身心健康发展;正确引导，形成一个良好的习惯。学生时期正是身体和思想趋于成熟时期，希望学校、家长共同努力，使“网络”成为学生的良师益友。
