On the other hand, others manage to go through life with very few money problems simply because they are able to make the most of what they have.Ideally you should try to combine both prosperity and Happiness. To do this I recommend the following steps:

1. Learn to Value Simplicity The aim of life should not be to accumulate as many possessions and as much wealth as possible. We should learn to be content with what we have and appreciate the benefits of simplicity. For example, if we clear out our unnecessary clutter we will achieve a greater feeling of space and freedom.

If you feel happiness is directly related to material possessions, you are making a mistake. Happiness can be gained just through being content with a small amount of possessions. Our inner wealth is not just about what we have, but what we are content to live without.

2. Do Not Be Attached to Your Money Does it pain you to spend your own money - even if it is for something useful? Even someone like Bill Gates can feel uncomfortable spending his billions; it is said he used to always travel economy class because he didn’t see the need to spend more money on first class. The problem with this, however, is that if we are always reluctant to spend money we miss the whole point of earning it.

A good attitude is to see money as a circular flow - that is, spending money enables more to come into our lives. It is not like a big dam where we just try to hold onto it all. We need to let the money out by spending on useful and necessary things. It is no good having a stockpile of water unless we use it to generate power; similarly it is no use accumulating large savings if we we feel miserable spending it.

3. Minimize Money Worries We will be happiest if we can make money a small part of our lives, and think about money issues as little as possible. To be able to do this we need to avoid creating situations of debt as getting out of debt can be difficult and stressful. Learn to live within your means by avoiding impulsive overspending. If you do need to go into debt, plan ahead and find a loan which is clear and manageable to repay.

Try to avoid complicated and risky investment plans; these give you the potential to gain more, but you will also have the potential to lose a lot more. Good financial planning should be simple and well balanced; this means your nerves will not be affected by worrying about the outcome of your investment. It is better to invest and save in something secure so you can forget about it and not worry endlessly.

4. Avoid Jealousy No matter how much money you have, do you still envy people who have more? A recent survey asked people whether they would prefer to have a salary above the national average. Alternatively, they could choose to have a higher salary, but this higher salary would be lower than the average. A surprising amount of people chose to have a lower salary as long as it meant they were relatively better off than the rest of the population.

To me this makes no sense. If other people become wealthier than you, that is no reason to be unhappy. If other people are prosperous that is good; don’t feel miserable just because you cannot keep up with the Joneses.

5. Don’t Live to Work. Do you find yourself working overtime in the evenings and at the weekend? If you spend all your time working, you will have no opportunity to spend your earnings. Don’t feel guilty for turning extra work down; it is important to give leisure time as high a priority as work. It is good if we can gain satisfaction from work, but if we only spend time working then our life lacks a proper balance.

6. Understand Why Are Some People Always Poor I’m sure most people will have good friends who always seems to have money concerns. No matter what happens they always seem to be short of money and they frequently share tales of financial woe. The lack of money makes them unhappy, but they don’t know how to change the situation. Giving them money doesn’t solve the problem because they continue to make bad financial decisions.

Part of the problem lies in their mindset. It is easy to become accustomed to being poor and then half expecting the poverty to continue. 我一直有一个远大而并不遥远的梦想，那就是成为一名摄影记者。这个梦想来源于电视上的一个节目，那个节目记录了不同摄影记者的工作过程——战地记者穿过硝烟炮火，记录战争的残酷;娱乐记者挤进拥挤的人群，为众多粉丝们提供明星大咖的众多八卦;新闻记者站在人民大会堂，录下总统，代表们的精彩讲话;专门进行自然摄影的记者们则是冒着各种自然灾害和被动植物伤害的危险记录着大自然的点点滴滴。我当时便觉得摄影记者是一个微小却又不可缺少的角色，一心希望成为一个摄影记者。

小学时，父亲买回来一个最简单的照相机，我经常激动而好奇的玩弄它。每个周末，我为了有时间去公园照相，不惜牺牲课间休息时间去写作业，只为了周六周日可以无忧无虑的进行摄影。

上初中后，我的摄影技术有了一些提高，还加入了学校的摄影社团。每一次社团的摄影练习、春秋游、体育节、艺术节、科技节等活动我都不会浪费，都会认认真真地进行每一次摄影。有一天，我突然在我订阅的一本杂志上看见了一张熟悉的照片，那是我照的照片!我内心沸腾了。我的照片登上杂志了!我离梦想又近了一步!整整一个下午，我沉浸在快乐与兴奋之中，但我并没有因此骄傲和自满，因为我的这一点成绩对于成为摄影记者这个梦想来说还只是前进了一小步，离我成为摄影记者的梦想还很遥远。

我的成长是幸福的，因为我有梦想，更因为我一步一步地接近了我的梦想。梦想就像一座没有“电梯”—捷径的“摩天大楼”，成长就犹如那看不到顶的阶梯，虽然不可能一步登天，但一步一步走上顶楼。也是幸福的，不是吗?

To different peoplehappiness means different things. For example, some people believe that only wealth could make a happy life. So if they have a lot of money or a large number of possessions, they will be happy. However, many people argue that happiness which has nothing to do with wealth comes from spiritual quality. 几年前，奶奶回老家打扫屋子的时候我去过。在墙角里，有一个比缸矮一点的怪东西，上面积满了灰尘。它口大，底儿小，下半部还有一个口子。奶奶告诉我，这叫“缸灶”。做饭时，用一根竹管对着口“呼呼”地吹气。弄的屋子里浓烟弥漫，呛得大家直淌眼泪。时过中午还没吃上饭。我急得直哭。

My family day is very busy.

In the morning, mother always wakes up at 6:00, she does many housework: wash clothes, sweep the floor and clean the bedroom. I usually get up at 7:00 a.m. Because I will go to school. My father is lazy, he often gets up at half past seven.

When I get up, I brush my teeth and wash my face. Then I eat breakfast wish my mother. We eat egg, milk and bread, we are full. Father never eats breakfast at home, he eats breakfast at his company.

At 7:40a.m, father takes me and mother to school. Sometimes his driver takes us to school.

In school, mother teach Chinese class for her students. I have Chinese class, math class, English class and science class. After school, I go swimming, I’m very happy.

At 6:00, we arrive home. I eat so much junk food. Father usually eats dinner with his friends, hardly ever he eats dinner in the home.

At night, I do my homework, then go to bed. My mother usually reads books, sometimes she watches TV.

我的爸爸是个不会表达感情的人，因此，我曾经多次疑惑着他是否爱我。但我对爸爸仍报以肯定的答案，这是因为我发现爸爸每次买回好吃的东西来都不吃，而让我去吃，这时我发现他有多么爱我。每当我想起这些事时，总会感到酸涩和甜蜜。

我的妈妈是个普通的妇女，但她却是一个伟大的母亲。她把所有的爱都倾注在了我的身上，每当我因失败而灰心丧气时，她都会安慰我，鼓励我：“没事的，这次考不好还有下一次，只要知道总结经验，下一次就一定能考好。”每当我听到这些话时，我的心里就甜滋滋的，因为我发现，我有一个多么好的妈妈。

其实每个人都应该有和睦家，只是有的人认为家是压力，是烦恼，有了家只是多了妈妈的唠叨，和爸爸的严厉，其实家也是很温馨的。当你受委屈，难过，不开心的时候，家就像肩膀让你依靠。我是一个开朗的人，也许我觉得家永远那麽美好。我的家中有四口人，爸爸，妈妈，姐姐和我。

爸爸是个认真仔细谨慎的人，他有名言也许能体现他的人品，名言是：老老实实做人，勤勤恳恳干事。平时没事的时候他总爱讲笑话给我们听，经常把我们逗得前俯后仰，可要是在学习上他可是毫不松懈，只要我稍稍马虎，他准会把我骂的狗血淋头。

从小到大，他无微不至的照顾我，转眼我已经上初中了，但是他还是关怀我，爱护我。他就是我的爸爸。我的爸爸很严厉，每当我错题的时候，他总是结结实实的教训我一顿，之后才会教我做题的方法，让我把题做对。我的爸爸很爱我。

那一天是休息日，妈妈因为有急事，六点钟就出去，要很晚才能回家。她在前一天就叮嘱我说：“妈妈不在家，你要怎么样怎么样。”这可把我高兴坏了。我嘴里答应，可心里却巴不得妈妈早点走。我想，这下可好，没有妈妈的唠叨，爸爸也要去加班。哼哼，家中无大人，小孩成大王。我既可以赖床，不午睡，还可以想玩到几点就几点，想玩什么就玩什么，哇，太美啦。

第二天，我睡到九点多才懒洋洋地起床。随便刷牙洗脸玩，就迫不及待打开电脑，狂偷菜去了，哈哈，偷得真过瘾。玩的正高兴，肚子突然“咕咕”响了起来，我一看时间快十一点了。啊，我早餐还没有吃呢。我急忙拿了包牛奶喝，然后又继续玩电脑，直到头有点晕，眼睛也犯迷糊了。更惨的是，肚子痛!天啊，我真的这么倒霉吗?真是乐极生悲。这是爸爸回家了。他看我很难受的样子，就问我是怎么啦?我只好老老实实地报告了实情。爸爸听完，拿药给我吃下后，严肃地批评我，并告诉我为什么会发生这些事的原因——没有吃早餐，长时间玩电脑，空腹喝牛奶……

记得那天，天下着倾盆大雨放学了，大雨还是没有停下，我心里急得像热锅上的蚂蚁，因为我没有带，我在教室里等了好久，雨还是没有停下来的意思教室里的同学已经被家长一个一个接回去了，只剩下我一个人，这时，我又想起外婆的好，要是外婆，她一定来接我的，想着想着，眼泪竟不由自主地落下来了，我抬起头望了望窗外，想起以前妈妈不管下的是倾盆大雨还是蒙蒙细雨，她总是不理我身体健康。一阵雷鸣扰乱了我的想象!我抬起头来～令我惊奇的是，我的妈妈竟然在课室外。她的手拎着一袋校服，她的衣服被雨淋湿了，她的头发被雨打乱了，她的脸上显露出一丝丝的微笑。这是我怎么样都意想不到的情景，我立刻走出门外。给了我妈妈一个拥抱，这是我懂事以来给妈妈的第一个拥抱，我的泪水慢慢的流了出来，妈妈连忙对我说，对不起，妈妈来晚了，你不要哭了。我连忙点点头说，妈妈我不怪你。妈妈听了，把我抱得更紧了。在雨中，一个妈妈的背上背着她的孩子，打着一把伞，尽量把伞往后靠，让她的孩子不要淋着，渐渐地，在雨中远去了。

My family is just a typical Chinese family. Loving parents and me as the only child. Sometimes being the only child in a family can be a tricky business. For example, you attract too much attention from your parents because you are the only kid they need to care about. It really bothers me sometime when they constantly keep telling me to keep up with my study and to get good grades in school. However, I think my parents are doing what is best for me. They are always on my side. When I wanted to participate in the school student union election to become the chair of the student union, they were excited about this and helped me in preparing my speech and choosing what to wear on that election day. I also am grateful to them because theyve bought me a piano. I love music and although I was not happy to practice for 2 hours everyday when I was a kid, now I see why my parents kind of forced me to practice piano. Now I can work under pressure but still present the good work and keep the good spirit. I can also play piano or electronic keyboard when Im at a party to impress other people. So a big thank you to my parents and Im so lucky to be in this family.
