1：山的沉稳水的灵动

孔子是儒家学派的创始人，多年来许多人都认为，儒家学派的一大特点是保守、守旧，以上古为黄金岁月，只重视“先王之道”而不关注事物的变化，而孔子则是一个方正迂腐的学究。其实，“信而好古”的孔子是用自己对道德的理解，结合白己对时代的期望，对经典作了新的阐释的。他既将“如山”的仁作为最高的道德标准，也发出了那句令千古智者为之共鸣的“逝者如斯”的感唱;他不但极其诗意地阐释了“变”，而且身体力行，收授弟子，用实际行动改造灵魂。如果他畏惧“变化”，不相信事物有更新的可能，他就不会成为一位灵魂工程师，不会成为中国历史上第一位职业教师。他作为中国哲人的独特之处在于：他的“变化”如同万物生长，是一种无声而自然的过程，他心目中理想的发展，不是斩断传统的脉络，而是以传统为根基，如山中树木，生长不息。

2：挫折

孔子一生不得志。但孔子不畏惧，不逃避，以一种达观的态度对待人生。在乐天知命、通达自得上孔子并不比老庄差。“孔颜乐处”是对这种处世态度的概括。

孔子周游列国时曾被匡人围困，当时形势非常紧急。孔子说：“文王既没，文不在兹乎?天之将丧斯文也，后死者不得与于斯文也。天之未丧斯文也，匡人其如予何!”宋司马桓魋欲害孔子，孔子说：“天生德于予，桓魁其如予何?”

《论语述而》表现了孔子兼善天下的志向。同时，也是孔子在遇到挫折时对自己的安慰与鼓励，是一种自我调适的做法。

3：理解

现在我们一谈到孔子与《论语》，便有不少人脱口而出：“惟女子与小人为难养也。”这半句话出自《论语阳货》第二十五章，后半句是“近之则不逊，远之则怨”。很多人特别是女人都非常反感这句话并由此反感孔子。也有人替孔子打圆场，说这里的“女人”不是指女人。

A Summer Camp

This summer, I had some special days. I joined Dongzhou International Educational Exchange Summer Camp.

First, I will tell you about our foreign teachers, they are Shrina and Rebecca. They are friendly and beautiful. They are students at Oxford University.

We talked about many things: famous people, subjects in England, different jobs, our deal days, western star signs, what can we say in a restaurant and so on.

We know lots of things, like what the difference is between “chef” and “cook”, all the parts of the body…

We tried to write a letter to Principal Zhang. We made a play and we drew our own comics and tried to sell it. We gave some other students English lessons, we taught them about Chinese Dragon, Chinese Martial Arts and the Olympics.

Every afternoon, we played exciting games: Chinese Whispers, Tongue Twisters, Wheelbarrow, egg and spoon, three legs…

On the last day, we had a good time. We made black tea. We put tea bags, some milk and lots of water in to a big bowl, and then we stirred the tea until it became red and dark. Oh, it tasted good! Later, we used eggs, flour and milk to make many pancakes. To cook them is very interesting. When we finished it, the pancakes looked round and nice. We put some jam on it. How delicious! I won’t ever forget it.

The summer Camp is a really good chance for me. I know the local things in England. I learned a lot and like English more. I also know better ways to learn English well.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come. With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.
