The Spring Festival, the most jubilant and important festival in China, is observed by most Chinese people at home and abroad. Our hometown is not an exception.

Similar with other places in china, we prepare for the festival about half a month before. With the lunar New Year approaching, the red lanterns are hung up along the main streets, making the ancient town filled with the festival atmosphere. While people clean up their houses, decorate it with traditional decorations such as Chinese knots and paper cutting. Each family pastes up Spring Festival couplets to convey their best wishes for the coming year.

On the New Year’s Eve, the whole family sits around, having a

sumptuous feast of reunion. It is worth mentioning that the food we have called maiyouzhi is unique. There is a flat piece of wheat sheet covering various vegetable and meat then rolling them up. What a delicious it is! After dinner, the family always watches the Spring Festival Gala Evening, and sets up fireworks to watch in the New Year.

On the first day of the New Year, people pay visits to the relatives and friends to send New Year’s greetings to each other and wish everything smoothly in the new year. The kids can get a lot of lucky money from the elders.

During the whole holiday, there are varied activities in the town such as lion and dragon dance, and all the citizens enjoy them very much.

How time flies! I have been in Zhejiang Gongshang University for a semester. In retrospect, my college life is busy but colorful. Different from my senior high school’s life, the whole new life I led is much freer. I arranged my time,

becoming the master of myself.

First of all, study is still the core of my life. I major in Japanese which is both interesting and challenging. We are required to be accomplished in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. As a result I had to spend most of time in improving my abilities. Besides of the regular courses, I often attended the lecture and went to the library to eich my knowledge, and I do benefit from what I learnt.

As to the after school life, what I consider most meaningful is joining the YVP to serve society. I think it is the responsibility for every university student to make contribution to the community. Little as my effort is, I tried my best to help the people around us. Once the YVP organized us to sell secondhand books and raise the money to help the people indeed.

In addition, I quite enjoy the travels and the bees. Travels let me experience the sunshine, fresh air as well as the special taste of the local customs and practices. While the bees keep the friendship shining, and friends are as if family members. Both of them lit up my life.

All in all, the college life is a journey, and I have long way to go; all the memory is the most precious treasure, and I will value every moment.

My Plan for Winter Holiday

How time flies. This term ends quickly and the winter holiday is coming. I make a general plan for it. Firstly, my teachers leave us some homework, so I must earnestly finish them on time. I plan to finish them before the Spring Festival, and then I can enjoy the festival with all my heart. Secondly, I will spend some time with my friends. Generally, we study together but have little time to play. During the holiday, we want to have fun together. Finally, I will visit my grandparents with my parents, and then we will spend the Spring Festival with them. I haven’t seen them for a long time. I miss them very much. I was so excited when i entered the University. For so many years, I worked hard to achieve this dream and finally i made it. Everything seemed fresh and curious to me. I was so pleased that I would enjoy my University life soon.

when i was in high school, I had to study all the time and hardly had spare time to do what i wanted to.Besides, I had to focus on my textbooks and doing exercise again and again. However, my University life is totally different from the life in high school.I can arrange my time freely. I spend most of my time reading in the library, where I can open my eyes and broaden my mind.In my free time, I also join some clubs,where i can make a lot of friends of different majors. My teachers in University are so kind and knowledgeable that they not only teach us knowledge but also how to be a person and how to get on with others. In addition, there are more opportunities for me to improve myself.

I believe University life is an important stage in my life. In University, i can learn how to learn by myself, how to get on with others, how to live independently.College provides me with a stage where i can show myself and be myself.

As a sophomore, I am feeling the time flies. Recalling about the past one year, so many thoughts are flooding in my mind. At this time, I just can’t tell my real idea. The memory is just like so fresh, and all the things happened yesterday!

When first day I came to University, I really feel that the school is very good, but at the first sight of the dormitory, something disappointing come up to me! The condition of the dormitory is really very poor with only one room, no lavatory! I saw something sad in my father’s eyes, maybe that time he thought of the poor condition! So with a big smile on my face, I told my father” it doesn’t matter, Dad. In this kind of condition, I will get myself better!” My father felt better. But when he was coming back, seeing his back, I just wanted to cry! I felt in this city I was just isolated, from that time, I said to myself, “ you have no others who can help you here, just depend on yourself”

And then I came to my dormitory 303. I considered that I would spend four years here (in fact I moved to another one year later) and my dorm mates are all there. Most of them came from Sichuan and they were chatting with a happy voice, but I can’t understand them! Again, I felt myself isolated! I hated that kind of feeling, and then I said to hello to them! To my surprise they are very friendly to me and warm-hearted! I no longer felt afraid. And I got along well with them. But at the first night here, I burst out to tears for that I was missing my family. I don’t know why. Everyday when I was at home, I was just eager to go to school, to experience the wonderful college life but when coming here, I am just eager to go back! It’s quite strange though, you must know this kind of feeling!

Just spending about 2 days here, we were on our way to military train. To us, it’s a fresh train and a kind of experience to know the life between the classmates. But to me, I was nervous but excited. This was my first and precious train life because before going to school I have been staying with my family. So, you know, it’s just this kind of feeling I can’t convey it clearly! The train life is impressive on everybody; we had a lot of activities, for example giving a speech on a stage or singing together or playing basketball. At that time, I felt myself so little among them. All of them have a special talent but not me. I admired them but meanwhile jealousy. Why don’t I have this kind of talent? Am I stupid? I always said to myself. So that time I was also very ambitious, just eager to catch up with them. Except the classmates, the trainer in our team also left a deep impression on me! He was not very handsome and very kind. Just because of his kindness results in my laughter when training. He always said to me that I should be serious in the team but I didn’t listen to him. So after a long time, when investigating the training result, I gave them a disappointing answer. The highest trainer sent me to clean the toilet, although, it didn’t means insulting to my dignity, but I was really sad about myself and my heart was hurt. That was a small thing but told me that I need to be serious to one thing. And unhappiness passed, the happy and funny time recalled me that folding the blanket. Yeah, it’s really very funny. Most of us had never folded the blanket and naturally we can’t accomplish the task well. When the monitor came, we pleased him to help us to fold the blanket. To our expect, we managed to persuade the monitor. After the monitor finished the task for me. I dared not to touch the blanket again and just used the clothes instead of the blanket. Of course, I felt very cold in deep night, so to my instinct, I crashed into my classmate’s blanket. And we were scratching the single blanket fiercely, just like a war. 今天天刚蒙蒙亮，我便起了床。做好了作业，和妈妈一起来到了农贸市场。“菜场真热闹啊!”

我们先来到了蔬菜区。只见每个蔬菜摊前陈列着许许多多的蔬菜。有浅绿色的扁豆，有深绿色的黄瓜、青椒，有紫色的茄子，有又白又大的萝卜，还有鲜红的西红柿，黄色的玉米……颜色各异，美丽极了!我最爱吃青椒，妈妈说：先看青椒吧!青椒看外形分：圆椒和尖椒，圆椒肯定不辣，买圆的。我们边走边看，有个摊位上的玉米吸引了我的视线，只见有的像一个孕妇，挺着一个大肚子。有的像一个橄榄球……摊主见我留步立刻说：“买一点吧!这可是不打农药的纯正绿色食品。”妈妈说：“称点也好，吃多了精食，也该吃吃粗粮了。”

我们接着来到了荤菜区。这里鸡、鸭、鱼、肉样样有。只见鱼盆里有许多活蹦乱跳的鱼，有些勉强能叫出名儿，有些连看也没看到过。这儿虽然是内地，但新鲜的海鲜也是应有尽有。我爱吃海鲜，我们挑了几只，张开钳子，威猛无比的梭子蟹，摊主利索地装入袋子称好斤两。我有点不放心，在公平秤上一称，既然不差分毫。最热闹的要数家禽区了。一问才知道，原来是今天这里的鸡虽然价钱贵一点儿，但是不是饲料鸡，而是吃稻谷长大的本鸡，肉特香。怪不得!

经过这次菜场的‘旅行’，我长了不少知识。

大学生活，就这样不知不觉匆匆地过了一年。在这一年当中，有着许许多多不可磨灭的深刻感悟与切身体会，这一切使我学会了很多、明白了很多、得到了很多;渐渐地我便热爱上了这大学生活。可究其原因，却是：我的宿舍、我的室友——我另一个温馨的“家”。“家”，是温暖的。

还记得那天，远离故乡和亲人，来到这所陌生的大学，心中有着说不出的滋味，总有一种沉重而失落的感觉;当走进宿舍，目光在这些来自四面八方的室友们身上打量了一遍，一幅幅陌生的面孔使我不知该说些什么;沉寂的氛围，使我找不到丝毫的家的感觉，心中确是难受。久久地躺在床上，脑海中不知在想些什么，低落的心情让我对未来失去了信心，让我对前途感到了迷茫。胡思乱想地让我产生了极端，想着放弃读大学，可这样做又会让爸妈操心，辜负他们对自己的期望;矛盾的心理使我迷失了自我，让我不知该如何是好。回过神来，看见他们正聊的起劲，一句：“你是哪的?”向我问来，让我感到了一点儿舒心，我把自己内心的苦楚向他们诉说，他们的一一安慰，让我感受到了家的温暖，内心的寒冰便缓缓融化;他们的自信以及对未来美好的憧憬，让我找回了信心，让我不再有放弃读大学的念头。此时此刻，我也得到了大学中的首份友谊。久而久之，大家的感情变得更加浓厚，彼此的关心、彼此的帮助、彼此的呵护，让这住着八个人的小小的房间成了一个温暖的大“家庭”。

“家”，是和睦的。转眼间，在大学中生活已近一年了，从开始的陌生到现在的颇为熟悉，从开始的空闲和懒惰到现在的忙碌和勤奋，从开始的让父母时常操心到现在的已学会照顾自己，我发现自己已不是从前的那个“我”。在宿舍中，室友们谈天论地，每日的欢声笑语，让我感受到了生活的真谛和友谊的真挚;与他们相处的日子——是我脱离父母、第一次独自来到一个地方、独自照料生活的日子，但同时也是我最开心的日子;平日里开开玩笑，无聊时“斗斗地主”，闲暇时看看电影……这些都让我感到了满足，感受到了这个“家”的不同。可最令我难忘的是：每个月我们都会下一次饭馆(也可以说是改善一下生活)，但每一次都会有人喝醉，醉酒后的胡言乱语，更是让人大笑不止，欢笑的同时，每个人也体会到了家的感觉与家的和睦。我记得有一次聚餐，室友们订了两箱啤酒，他们不知怎么地一味的对我敬酒，迷迷糊糊地我就醉了那么一回，当回宿舍时，是他们扶我回去的，他们还给我准备的醒酒茶，回到寝室我躺在床上，好一会儿才睡着，不过把他们给折腾了一朽。第二天醒来，我模糊而却又清楚的还记得昨晚那醉酒的“糗事”，回想起来还真耐人寻味。

“家”，同时也是矛盾的。“家家有本难念的经”，“家”没有矛盾，将不能称其为“家”。近一年的寝室生活中，小吵小闹是不可避免，但也是不可或缺的，每当吵闹过后，大家都会深刻的反省自己，只有矛盾过后才会真切地发现友情的珍贵、人情的可贵。我们宿舍中，曾经就有过矛盾，“由于寝室中的一位同学不知是不开心还是怎么的?为了一点儿小事就和我们吵了起来，当时幸好大家情绪都控制了下来，可整个寝室瞬间变得死气沉沉，因为这件事大家心里都有些不愉快。差不多过了一个星期，大家终于按捺不住了，再也受不了这种气氛，最后，大家每个人一一自我检讨，对自己的错误进行了反省，而后沉寂的场面被打破，我们似乎又回到了从前，大家依然还是好同学、好朋友、好兄弟。

“家”，是同甘共苦、荣辱与共的。住在同一个屋檐下，我们有着共同的激情，共同的追求，共同的梦想，也有着同样的烦恼;我们一起玩过，笑过，哭过，闹过，谁也离不开谁，谁也不愿离开谁;我们分享彼此之间的欢乐与悲伤;我们就是一个整体，共苦同甘、与共荣辱。生活，我们享受;幸福，我们追求。

时间飞逝，在一列列时间车厢内，我们这个“家”中的每一个成员的表情都不尽相同。有迷茫无助的，也有坚定自信的。但我们每个人都沿着自己设定的轨迹，载着梦想出发。“可这列列车总喜欢和我们开玩笑，我们无法预料到下一站的终点，它会给我们安排什么。是酸甜苦辣的经历，还是悲欢离合的煎熬。因此我们必须在出发前，就应选对自己的终点站。在合适的地点，上对合适的列车。或许它是一趟单程的列车，或许它是一条不归路。”不管如何，坚定自己的信念，朝着自己的目标奋进吧!当我们在某年某月的某个地点，回想起当初的抉择时，总有一些人为之叹息，为之懊悔，甚至被那些残酷的现实玩弄和击垮。不少人总希望能够买到那张奢侈的回程票，其实这些已变得不重要。态度决定高度，能力决定实力，眼界决定境界。生活如此，懂得把握大学生活的点滴，学会珍惜，明天的太阳定会更加艳丽。当我们大学毕业，离开母校，走向社会。也许留下的浓浓回忆，只有那大学时的宿舍、大学时的室友——那曾经的“家”。

My Life in Winter Holiday

Ihave a great time during the winter holiday, because I enjoy myself as well asfocus on my study. As it’s known to all, the Spring Festival is the mostimportant in winter holiday that would occupy much time to celebrate it.Therefore, I finished my homework first, so that it won’t bother my enjoymentduring the festival. I finished my home work in one week. And I went shoppingwith my parents. We bought a lot of things, especially snacks and fruits. Then,it was the Spring Festival. We had a big dinner on the New Year’s Eve. Myparents prepared the big dinner and I could only act as assistant. The dinnerwas so delicious that I ate so full. In the next several days, my parents and Ivisited our relatives and friends or they visited us. Sometimes, we went outfor fun together. We children were always the most excited. Now, holiday iscoming to the end and I will go to school soon. I am so happy that I have awonderful winter holiday.
