The study also shows that there is a significant spatial difference in the dynamics of forest. The amplitudes of increasing and de- creasing in western China are both smaller than the ones in eastern China. During the rapid declining period from 1700 to 1949, the most serious decrease appeared in the Northeast, the Southwest and the Southeast, where the coverage rate in most provinces dropped over 20%. In Heilongjiang Province, the coverage rate dropped by 50%. In Jilin Province, it dropped by 36%. In Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality, it dropped by 42%. In Yunnan Prov- ince, it dropped by 35%. During the recovery period 1949–1998, the western provinces, mu- nicipality and autonomous regions, including Ningxia, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Si- chuan–Chongqing, Yunnan, Tibet, Xinjiang and Qinghai, etc, the increase rates are all below 5%, while the eastern provinces, municipality and autonomous regions (except Heilongjiang, Hubei, Jiangsu–Shanghai) have achieved an increase over 5%, among which the Guang- dong–Hainan, Guangxi, Anhui, Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Zhejiang, and Fu- jian have an increase over 10%.

The mini knitted garments have helped save hundreds of flightless birds caught in oil spills providing protection from the elements and stopping them from ingesting poisonous pollution.

Knits for Nature a program run by The Penguin Foundation which conserves the little penguin population of Phillip Island 140km south-east of Melbourne has created up to 300 different designs over the years - and its all thanks to talented volunteers.

‘There’s a lot of hidden creativity out there said Lyn Blom of the Phillip Island Nature Park.

People love to know that they’re helping the penguins because they’re so cute and small and they waddle up the beach and they’re so feisty. But they need to be they live in a pretty tough sort of environment.’

A thumbnail-sized patch of oil can kill little penguins the smallest of the species measuring just 13 inches (33cm) and weighing 2.2lbs (1kg). The oil separates and mats their feathers breaking natural waterproofing and heating functions.

Ms Blom estimates she has knitted between 200 and 300 penguin jumpers over the years including ones in the colours of every Australian Rules football team in the country.

A staff member read an article in an English women’s magazine about knitting for guillemot birds and decided to adapt the designs.

‘There’s an awful lot of ladies out there who used to knit for their children and grandchildren. These ladies have spare wool and idle hands and they love to feel loved and needed and we love and need them’ said Ms Blom.

The Penguin Foundation recently staged a competition for the most creative jumper which received an enthusiastic response.

The Penguin Foundation rescues approximately 20 birds a year. They even have a stockpile of jumpers in case of emergency - such as the large oil spill near Phillip Island in 2001.

My hometown, which is in the south of × Province, is a very beautiful village. It lies on the east bank of a small river, surrounded by green mountains, In the past my hometown was poor, and people led a hard life. They couldnt afford to send their children to school. But ,great changes have taken place in my hometown in the past twenty years. Many families .have not only color TV sets, but also telephones, fridges, computers, and so on. New roads, houses, schools, hospitals have been built. People in my hometown are working hard for a better life.

我的家乡在××南部，是一个非常漂亮的村庄，它位于一条小河的东岸，为绿色的大山所环抱。过去，我的家乡很穷，人们过着艰难的生活，孩子读不起书。但是在刚刚过去的二十年里，我的家乡发生了翻天覆地的变化口许多家庭不仅有了彩色电视机，而且电话、冰箱、电脑等应有尽有。新修了公路，新建了房屋、学校和医院。家乡人民正在为过上更好的生活而辛勤工作。

我叫刘XX，女，生于19XX年，1988年从事教育教学工作，大专学历，小学一级教师。1988年教学以来担任语文学科教学工作和班主任工作。20xx年以来担任学校教导主任。曾多次获县、乡“师德先进个人”、“模范、优秀教师”称号，优质课和论文多次获县、市级奖项。目前是学校三年级语文教师兼班主任。在从事教育工作的23年中，我一直站在教育工作的前沿。“让每一位学生在我的课堂上都有所收获”是我事业追求的目标;“学高为师，德高为范”是我的自律信条。

一、锐意进取，不断超越。

二、认真教学，潜心教研。

作为一名教师，我不断地刻苦钻研业务，认真研究教材教法，研究新课程标准，注重多方位培养学生的能力和学习习惯，对工作讲求实效，对学生因材施教。为了提高自己的教学水平，我坚持经常翻阅《小学语文教师》、《小学教研论坛》、《优秀论文集》等书籍。备课时，我精心设计环节，努力钻研教材，上网查阅资料，了解学生特点，做了大量的课前准备工作，做到备教材，备学生，备资源，结合课堂实际运用课件配合教学，向40分钟课堂要质量。课堂上给学生畅所欲言的时间和空间，让学生做课堂的主人，而我则循循善诱的引导，做好学生的学习合作伙伴，学习效果事半功倍。教育学生上，我很注重培优扶差的工作，对于后进生，我总是给予特殊的照顾，在课堂上多提问，多巡视，多辅导，对他们的点滴进步给予大力的表扬;课后多找他们谈心、交朋友，树立起他们的信心和激发他们学习的兴趣。我抓好学生的小组学习活动，选拔优秀的小组长，带领小组成员一起进步。我坚持让学生写周记，写身边事，写心里话，写出自己的真情实感，从中我得到了许多……在日记中，我得到学生的信任，了解学生的精神世界，及时对学生给予指导和帮助，做到“春风化雨，润物无声”，使他们健康成长。本人所教学科的成绩在乡统考中也名列前茅。

俗话说：在其位、务其职、思其政。作为教导主任，我时刻要求自己做到正确定位，牢固树立两种意识，努力做好校长的助手， “上情下达”，“下情上晓”，起到了桥梁沟通作用。在工作中，能以求真务实的态度，顾全大局，融合群体，在校长的指导下，制订好学校教学作计划，并组织实施，使工作更有计划性、针对性、实效性，并注意总结教育教学方面的经验，使学校教育教学工作运作正常。

三、关爱学生，无私忘我。

作为寄宿制学校的班主任，工作琐细而繁重。尤其是三年级学生年龄小，生活自理能力弱，他们的衣食住行，吃喝拉撒，事无巨细，点点滴滴，班主任都得操心。要让学生成材，身心健康成长，就必须关心爱护他们，做他们的知心人，我把“动之以情、导之以行、晓之以理、持之以恒”作为关心学生的座右铭。班上农村进城务工、父母离异家庭的孩子有四五个，在我细致、耐心地工作下，他们都能自强、愉快地在这个和谐的班级大家庭中生活、学习。还有一些班上的“留守孩”由于远离父母、远离亲情，对他们的健康成长造成了一定的影响。据我调查，有的外出打工的父母半月或一个月给家中打一次电话，有的半年联系一次，相当多的外出打工者一年才返家一次，甚至有的父母常年在外不回来，单纯认为给孩子吃饱、穿暖、满足孩子的各种需求就可以了，而忽视与孩子的心理沟通与交流，导致孩子对父母很陌生，亲情关系出现了障碍，孩子的人生观、价值观也发生了不良的改变。为此，我给学生分组，利用校信通、飞信等形式，让学生每星期一、三、五的课外活动和家长联系，进行交流，汇报他们在校的情况。我心中始终记着这样一句话：做学生生活中的母亲，错误中的大夫，交往中的挚友。短暂的时光里，我不但取得了家长的放心，学生也更有了学习的动力，我所带的班级也很快成为班风正、学风浓的先进班集体。

作为班主任我更相信学生，尊重学生，我相信每一位学生都有自己的创造强项，每个学生都有一定的长处和闪光点，要善于发现学生的长项，抓住每一个教育良机，适时表扬、鼓励。体贴后进生，培养他们的自信心、自尊心、自强心，不让后进生成为掉队的孤雁。另外，我积极组织开展读书活动、知识竞赛、演讲比赛、文娱表演等形式的主题队会，展示学生各方面的才能，发展个性。让学生自己组织、自己管理、自己发展，逐步形成一个健康向上、团结协作的班集体。通过开展丰富多彩的班级活动，优化了班级文化环境，丰富了学生精神生活，促进了学生综合素质的全面发展。

If you come to Xi’an, you can’t miss the Terra Cotta Warriors. The Terra Cotta Warriors museum is in Lin Tong. It very special because it is one of the eigh wonders of the world.

If you go to Lintong and visit the Terra Cotta Warriors ,you cant’t miss the Qin Ling Mountain, also. You can see lots of plants and animals in the mountain. They are so beautiful.

If you have enough time, you can go to the Bell Tower, too .The Bell Tower have three floors. It is surrounded by the City Wall. There is a big bell in the tower. Walking down the sidewalk, you can see the Drum Tower and Muslim Street. On the Muslim Street, there are lots of delicious food, such as cold rice noodles, Chinese hamburgers ,

Paomoand so on. These foods can be found in all parts of Xian. My favourite food is Chinese hamburgers.
